Delta Sentinel strode forth through a quiet street. Another mission successful, and the bodies littering the streets and buildings for miles in every direction were proof as such. This planet was not one of the Empire's worlds - no, it was a fringe world at the end of one of the galactic arms. The world was a visual enigma - advanced starships lined the holds of a far off distant space port, but the average village, even some cities, were seemingly technologically far behind.
Homes and businesses built with brick and wood, scarcely a vehicle in sight. This was no hub world sitting comfortably within a trade route - this was just a world people sometimes stopped by to refuel and restock their food stores before moving on. The world has a community driven culture, but because it sits so far away from the rest of the civilized galaxy, it was a victim of pirates and warlords. While never usually attacked in hoards, occasionally the people had to put up with offworlder pirates and militants setting up temporary bases, harassing the locals, and eventually taking off again.
Delta Sentinel had been sent here to deal with the militant faction that had risen in this sector. While the Empire did not own the planet, nor have jurisdiction, the militants that set up shop here WERE from Imperial space. The carnage that had ensued here was the result of extremely precise targeting and study. Every single face, every single body heat signature, every single power level signature had been meticulously recorded and stored to ensure maximum success of the mission.
The only locals that had died, were those the militants had been keeping hostage, or had fired upon Delta Sentinel as the Android went about the task of slaughter. The Android stops at a roadway cross section, its metal tail slamming against the pavement and sending sparks showering across the road.
Delta's photoreceptors, that looked almost perfectly like organic eyes, scan the area for any body heat or lack thereof within the nearby buildings.
"...Scan complete. One thousand, two hundred forty seven casualties. Seventeen more than metrics show for enemy combatants." Delta says aloud, its audio receptors recording the report. "Of the seventeen civilian casualties, five were newly targeted enemy combatants after they fired upon this unit. The remaining twelve were hostages - killed by the militants when they were identified as useless for bargaining a bribe attempt with this unit."
Delta Sentinel turns to look down another street.
"Mission complete and successful. Civilian casualties at an acceptable metric." the Android states with an uncaring tone.
