CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE:
Monsu wears a white and blue haori, with black baggy pants.
IMAGE CREDIT: I drew this (a decade ago lol), and colored it myself.
BACKGROUND: Monsu has been a man of the military for damn near his entire life. He was still a rambunctious child when Taqar declared its independence from the Monarchy, and his parents had lamented the fear that they were expecting a war to break out - instead, peace was essentially purchased instead thanks to the combined wealth of the city itself and its outlander investors. Instead, his young adult time soon after joining the military were minor conflicts with the Kashvar that typically made up the majority of his patrols. War never broke out with the Kashvar, but Monsu trained with the vigor of a man ready for war to begin.
Over the years, Monsu began to gain a more level-headed perspective - while his training never decreased, his prejudices began to fade, and he became more keen to preserve the peace that the planet enjoyed. He gained the belief that warriors served the purpose of defending their people, not seeking the destruction of another people. He served with distinction over the decades, and held the rank of Colonel when the royal families began feuding, and finally fractured into many warring factions. Seeing this weakness, the Kashvar also took advantage, and the world plunged into war. Monsu served with vigor and distinction, at many times leading the forces of the faction he supported into battle.
The end to the war came not in a decisive victory, no, the world was plunged into a terrible, seemingly unending storm that ravaged the planet, making the conflict impossible to continue. Many Konatsians and Kashvar left the world to find a new home, but Monsu was among those that stayed behind, determined to die on the world he so loved. Monsu never truly believed that the Kashvar were to blame for the terrible storm, but he never challenged the rumor either.
In time, after twenty years, the terrible storm finally came to an end - a time that was celebrated across the world. The storm had left the world damaged, but Monsu felt that perhaps the storm had saved the world from a greater destruction, had the war continued unabated. No new monarch ever rose up to take the vacant throne, and none dared to try, for fear that another war may jinx the planet with another storm.
Konats' terrible luck would not end there, however; outlanders brought with them horrible consequences of their own - demons ripping reality, battling with terrible might in the skies; mercenaries laying claim to the wealthy independent state of Lux, and other happenings that left the Konatsians and Kashvar seemingly set to become a people who would always fall under the control of circumstance.
Determined to free Konats - both the Konatsians and the Kashvar - of the Outlander control, the General felt that it was time for Konats to take fate back into its own hands. Premier Jinx had brought with her more wealth, and prosperity to areas harmed by the storms, and for that Monsu was grateful - but Konats needed to regain its own identity.
And for this purpose... Monsu took up one of the Hero's Swords - The Cardinal Pommel, a weapon that creates not just a blade, but a weapon form that can be manipulated by the will of the user, from the energy of its holder.

You can only turn it off at the end of a post, at the end your second post after activation at the earliest. You will still consume MP and not regain any MP on the post you turned it off on. If you run out of MP, you lose Might of Azalea's effects at the end of your post and cannot gain any MP on your next turn.
