There was nothing like a glorious return to South City after an unfortunate series of events on an alien planet far, far away. Meara was still surprised she and the others had managed to escape without too great an incident once those two arrived. All otherwise would have been handled, but the past was the past right now and... as it stood Meara and the girls were flat broke! In their absence the most recent rent statement had more or less completely emptied their savings and Meara was not going to dip into her ice cream budget. With this in mind, there was only one other option and it was one the Faun knew would be coming eventually. The momentous return of Meara's Magical Girls. It would take the better part of three or four days to properly arrange everything, but in that time advertising had already begun to blanket the streets and billboards of South City, announcing once more that the small, magical idol group would be performing this weekend in the city square. "Is everything in order? It has been about a year!", Meara's eyes glanced over the three other women and the overall layout of their stage set up briefly. Pacing side to side some, the Faun then gave a brief nod. "Verthandi and I made sure there is enough seating outside as well, we do not want a repeat of Central City two years ago.", Urdr mused thoughtfully, the youngest of the four looking just past the erected curtain surrounding the half-stage set up they were going to use for the show. Each of he girls would nod in consolation at this statement, all remembering that incident and how much of an impact it had done to their shows in that area for a time. With a soft smile, Meara then gave a nod and vaguely pointed towards their positions. "Skuld, don't forget your staff this time." The Faun grinned slightly at the woman only slightly her senior who rolled her eyes and gave Meara a quick thumbs up. Each of the four woman then too their place on the stage, the three siblings across the rear of the platform as Meara stood in the front and centre, waiting for the curtain to shift and for the show to begin! A low mist began to spill from the stage as the curtains slowly pulled back, the white miasma for that briefest moment completely concealing everything within. From behind this thin cover a woman's voice resonated almost unnaturally. "The mystic witchcraft of the Daughters of the Moon, those born into their roles in this otherworldly play." These words then lingered for only a moment to be concluded with a bright flash of light from the platform's centre. As the flash receded three women sat atop staves of varying types of wood, each tailored to the woman atop. On the left in vibrant reds, the skald Urdr mused over a small book in hand, her pale blue eyes bordered by golden hair piercing into the audience. To her right the verdant witch Verthandi pondered a glass sphere of curious make. Her brown hair handing pat her staff and fluttering in the air beneath. And to the far right the cool blues of Skuld's dress almost pulled the clear mist to itself and the lantern that hung from her hat. Her silver hair hiding part of her cold expression as she gazed over the crowd. "We pull at the strings of fate, to read your past, present, and future." Verthandi's voice followed the woman as she swooped forwards and just over the crowd. Lifting her hand, a soft, crimson ribbon around each fingers that trailed down into the crowd beneath. "Each crimson lace, that which guides you along." Snapping her fingers these then disappeared and the green mage remained above the crowd with sphere in one hand and her other pressing the index finger against her chin in contemplation. "The songs of life resonate from one and all, through them I know all.", The crimson Urdr settled at the stage's edge, pulling disharmonious music from an unknown source as one gloved hand brushed over the pages of her small tome. "Is it the dirge of melancholy or a symphony of granduer?", she mused with an impish smile. Unlike her sisters, Skuld stepped off her staff, taking it in hand before stepping towards the stage edge. With a swing of the wooden implement her voice boomed overhead. "We are all but subjects to our own choices. Those words that dictate our paths." Resting her cold eyes on the crowd, she pondered them one and all, listening and waiting. "We are Luna Tres" "We are Luna Tres" "We are Luna Tres" As the three women spoke in unison the Fun stepped forwards to make her debut, the evergreen crystals atop her staff fading into a soft silver hue as she took her place. Her eager, warm eyes and smile incongruent with mixed expressions of the three women operating as her aides. "And I am Meara the Magnificent, Luna Megistus!" Her voice rose, filling the stage and surrounding square as her cloven hooves stepped atop the staff that now hung in the air before her. "And this afternoon we will put you all into a state of shock and awe!" |
