CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE:
A rather short Shinjin with pale blue skin and bright eyes, Wokou hardly cuts an imposing posture -- maybe that's why she makes up for it with an oversized pirate's hat, a skull-and-crossbones patternedstolen eyepatch shoulder-pad, and a number of unneccesary buttons and buckles added atop her traditional Shinjin attire. It's not quite enough to make her seem threatening, but at least she's hard to miss.

BACKGROUND:
In the annals of Shinjin-gone-wrong, few have ever had as black a heart as the wicked Wokou, who dubbed herself Queen of the Corsairs after she struck out from the heavens on a quest for glory and wealth. It is said that the ogres themselves shudder to speak her name, and that she has been granted many titles by the powers above: Traitor to the Cosmos, Kai-Bane, Reaver of Snake Way, and many more. A Shinjjin so evil that not even the gatekeepers of Hell itself can find any record of the rotten fruit she was born from: it was so twisted to the core, the many attendants of Otherworld couldn't bare to approach it.
That's the true story, anyway.
The false story, spread entirely by Wokou's enemies, is that she was actually a mere attendant herself, tasked with ensuring the healthy growth of a minor garden suite on some forgotten parcel of Otherworld, where brave departed warriors came for rest and relaxation amidst their grueling training. There, she met with a solitary warrior who had fallen in battle against a pirate fleet in a part of the galaxy she, then named 'Engeika', had never even heard of. Enthralled by the tales, she spent all of her influence to scrounge old serials, movies, and comics about pirates off of passing ogres, until the inspiration one day inspired her to strike out on her own, to forge a legend of her own.
Those who would propagate such a falsehood would suggest that she stole her pirate hat from a behemoth of a Heran, that she modified her outfit to look more 'pirate-y', and that she's never actually conquered a thing. They might also say that Engeika's little adventure has been met mostly with disinterest from her former colleagues in the Otherworld, who view it as little more than typical rebellion by an eight-hundred-something Shinjin who didn't quite like her old job. Certainly, they've never given her any fancy titles.
It's sad to admit, but the enemies of the Queen of the Corsairs would spin any lie to discredit her as she roams the galaxy with her crew of loyal buccaneers (they're all on shore leave right now) and her hoard of stolen treasure (she's already buried it, so you just can't see it.) Terror awaits the people of the mortal realms: the Reaver of Snake Way has come for conquest and riches.
