Ticoga nods appreciatively at the two Saiyans. It was hard to believe that less than a year ago, he had such a profound prejudice against the species - it was a fallacy that he was glad to be overcome. They both spoke their piece, and Ticoga smiles.
"Your vows are greatly appreciated, truly. And I harbor no judgement on you, Miss Gira. While I cannot compare to what you are feeling, I can empathize; both of you have been under a great deal of stress. I understand." Ticoga says, his expression softening. "However - I do not feel that you should take the responsibility upon just yourselves. These threats - whether they can potentially be managed individually or not - can be handled jointly."
Ticoga looks between the two.
"The situation we faced with Yangcong and the stranger has shown how dangerous the Hoken are. I could likely have managed Yangcong were he alone, but that person - Usumidori, and the large woman - dealt a severe blow. Had Marimba, Maxsuz, and the others been here, I imagine the battle would have been significantly bloodier." Ticoga continues evenly. "As you say, Miss Gira, cooperation will be essential. If my people encounter or hear of the movements or actions of Maxsuz and Marimba, I shall inform you as soon as I am able. I would like to ask that you return this act - the more we all know, the better we may aid one another."
Ticoga looks then at Zuqetta. He hadn't heard of the conversation she had with Yakito, but it seems like it hadn't been unfriendly at least.
"And per that statement about keeping you from going bad - I don't feel that this is likely, but I will endeavor to help, should you need it. Which brings me to my next point," Ticoga says, and smiles more broadly. "I have been inspired by all of this to do more to change the Empire. It is my intention to make the Empire a force for good in the galaxy. Planets still view us, often with just cause, as the villains. I will use my time as Emperor to change this."
Ticoga's voice changes slightly, pitching just a bit higher to denote his own happiness of the subject.
"People from the Earth and Namek reportedly came to aid Arcose - and I wish to show that the Empire will return this act of good will. While we will continue to terraform inhospitable planets into habitable ones for client races, the age of expansion is over with my reign." Ticoga declares. "While I am not sure we will be able to act alongside the Galactic Patrol - given our mutual histories - I will see to it that this uniform is celebrated, our starships cheered, and no longer the silhouette that strikes fear."
Something seems to suddenly occur to Ticoga, as his eyes widen. He just now remembered something... he'd seen someone like Usumidori before...
"...Miss Gira... On Earth, I encountered a pair of females - one was blonde haired with bright white wings. I believe she called herself Rhapsody. The other, I just remembered now - looks just like the Usumidori woman that the stranger seemed to be controlling." Ticoga says. "...Yes, they look almost exactly alike. The woman I encountered on Earth had short white hair... I think she called herself... Griselda? Does that name or description mean anything to you?"
