JUJUBE'S PL: 60,000
Jujube didn't know what happened to the dead metropolis, nor did she have memories of what the city was like before the war came upon it. The last she knew of it, it had been overwhelmed with Destron and death. Yet, some repair efforts seem to have been undertaken -- at least to drain the city of the noxious fumes. It still didn't smell particularly pleasant, and the air of death seemed to loom in every crevice. With the war over, she now wondered if there was any hope that the urban battle-scape could once again support life.
Well, humanoid life. She'd already encountered life of another kind here.
She was hugging close to the side of a burned-out store. From the charred and ruined remnants, she supposed that it had once been some sort of clothing store. She thought she could make out a dress in the style that her mother had worn when she was a child, but the fabric had been turned inky-green from so much exposure to the now-drained Destron. Glass displays had been set up throughout the store to advertise stylish watches and similar accessories, but they too had been lost to time.
Outside, there was some kind of saiba-beast. It had fallen quiet for now, but she could tell it was still lurking, ready to strike. It was a horrifying creature, its gnarled green body misshapen into various spikes and horns. It was nothing like the saiba-men she remembered: the dead metropolis was its home, and it had mutated to hunt here in short order. Despite its size, which rivaled that of an Earthling bus, it moved quietly, its feet padded and its legs bent to keep itself close to the ground.
It knew she was here; it knew she knew it was here. Now, it was a matter of waiting. She didn't like the idea of being in a stand-off with a predator, but she was here for a reason. Experience fighting without her suit could be the difference between life and death in the wars to come, and this was as good of training as she was going to get. She didn't expect the Saiyans would welcome her open arms into their training yards, and the average Tuffle was too weak for her at this point.
She quietly adjusted the frequency on her arm blaster, from its standard blast setting towards a cutting laser. If the beast didn't appear soon, she would shear through the supports to the front of the store, and shut it out entirely. Then, she might just be able to flank to the outside while it investigated. She just hoped all that time being an apex predator in the concrete jungle hadn't made it too clever for such a ploy.
