Third Time's The Charm(ing Convalescence) [Zuqetta]

Yakito explained his situation further, including his battle with Yangcong, something that caused Zuqetta to wince. It felt so natural, she wanted to scold him against engaging against foes such as Yangcong, remark on taking substances that could've potentially killed him, but she refrained. Despite his change, and despite his scars, Yakito lived and that was what was most important. He'd held strong to his convictions, and came out stronger for it; if anything, Zuqetta began to feel bad for ever attempting to tell him to pull back. Ironically, his new human form helped her to feel less invasive than she'd felt before; it made her realize how much she longed for another when she'd first met the fox, her mind was much clearer now than it was before however, and she would easily calm with a long drawn breath.

"I see, that explains why you were so adamant back at the Brawl Hole." Zuqetta remark, looking to Yakito initially with a pitiable look, before her brow would furrow as she gazed upon him confidently, placing a hand on his shoulder, "You did what you had to do. You've supported your mom and yourself, and ensured she'll still be supported even should you vanish." she swallowed, avoiding the word "died"; she didn't like to think of it, but she was beginning to understand what Yakito was doing, "Good job!" she'd say, giving the man a thumbs up.

So badly she wanted once more to apologize to him for what had happened on Plant, but once more she refrained, suppressing the urge. She would hold strong to her decision, just as Yakito had held to his convictions; to Zuqetta, he was no more than a foolish fox-kit prior, a boy with little understanding of consequence. she still couldn't accept what he'd done, but could now understand it; she wished a child didn't have to go through such an upbringing, but that was hypocritical. It also didn't matter, for the one before her was no longer a child in her eyes, but a man more than capable of taking care of not only himself, but others besides.

Of course then, the man would regress to a child once more, fidgeting with fear and worry upon finally realizing how his mom might react.

"Hehe, so you're the latter?" she'd laugh, gently patting Yakito's back, "Marian, huh? Well, I dunno nothing about her, but I can't imagine she'll be too happy ta know what's happened to your fur." she'd remark, "Also, ya gotta tell her the truth, no lying. I don't think she'll be to happy to know you've been taking such dangerous substances!!" she'd chastise, though smiled the whole time through her berating.

She thought of telling Yakito to quit such things, but he didn't seem to show signs of addiction or withdrawals. she wouldn't pester him about exactly what it was he was taking, but with how stable he was, even more stable than when she met him on Plant, she was sure he'd kicked whatever enhancers he was using. She laughed to herself, thinking it was a good thing too; if he'd gotten any beefier, he might find it impossible to scratch his own back!

"Don't worry too much though, she's your mom, she'll love ya regardless of what ya do or what ya look like!" she'd say with a cheery smile, though one that would quickly fade as the invasive thought of not having a mother herself snuck in.
