CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE:
The first thing one would notice about Orion is that he is very tall for his humanoid shape. He stands at 7'5" total, however, is known to slouch and simper to appear less imposing. His build isn't very muscular, instead, he holds a lean physique that belies immense strength due to his android body. His skin is fair and his eyes are a vibrant pale green. His hair is short and somewhat spiky and colored blond. He looks completely indistinguishable from a normal human. Infact, he could easily be mistaken for a cyborg due to his robotic arm and leg. Until you tear into him and realize he is nothing but synthetic muscle, flesh, and wires, tied together with microchips, cores, and code. Clothing-wise he dons a red duster coat, a black vest, black baggy pants, steel-toed boots, and can always be seen with his signature round reflective sunglasses.

BACKGROUND:
"Why... is life born... just to die?"
You were "born" on a space station.
You were "born" on a space station.
When you first gathered your first thought, you were greeted with silver-grey eyes and a kind, soft, smile. A smile that belonged to an aging man, whose golden years were behind him. "Good morning, Einherjar Unit 0... My name is Doctor Svarog. Welcome to Space Colony Elpis, the last bastion of hope."
You were the first. The prototype. Created for a world that was a testament to ingenuity and intelligence. A bastion of "hope". A world united by a single cause: progress. You were built for the military. War was foreign to your people, having long since rid themselves of their "barbaric instincts".
You knew over a thousand years of uninterrupted peace. However, an encounter with a warmongering alien bug race - who knew no negotiation or concept of "surrender". Came upon your home. Causing your people to open a branch of their government that was long since dead. Your world's progress was now dedicated to eliminating "The Swarm".
"The Swarm" was a destructive and manipulative race of insectoids capable of evolving via consumption. They absorbed information into their Hive and then went under metamorphosis. Their latest form was a highly intelligent, shape-shifter, race, capable of using ki-based techniques. Something completely unheard of to your spirituality lacking society. Your people were scientists and inventors. Not fighters or believers in higher powers.
You were the first "Einherjar Unit 000#" invented for war. You and ten others were invented as a capable fighting force. Something the swarm could not consume or learn from. Something that existed to kill. And so you fought, and fought, and fought. Wars ravaged the once pristine and beautiful planet. Fires raged, rivers ran red with blood, and cities crumbled.
And people died, so many people had died.
But you succeeded. You and the two remaining "siblings". Einherjar Unit #1 and Einherjar Unit #6. They were all you had left. Nearly 80% of the planet's population was wiped out over several years. You forgot how many years went by. But peace was finally restored. And yet you were not met with applause or thanks. You were instead condemned. Your people's hearts have grown cold and violent over the years. They saw you as a threat. Something akin to the swarm that needed to be eliminated.
Your remaining "siblings" were murdered. Leaving you as the last of the Einherjar. You fled to Space Colony Elpis. Where you recovered slowly. As you slowly mended yourself you were left to your growing animosity and hatred. Hatred for the very people you protected. You had no one left. You came across the body of the good doctor, it was cold when you returned. He had ended himself. Unable to deal with all that he had lost.
But you weren't dead yet. You still could fight, for all you have lost... Revenge.
You would fall upon the people of the planet you once protected. The final order was a failsafe created by your slowly maddening father figure who believed that humanity had become a stain, a danger to the world and itself.
"The Heavenly Light Protocol - Orion"
They were dead... almost nothing was left... The tiniest percentile of humanity clamored for survival. Taking what they had to put a bullet in your already failing systems...
You would awake, somewhere far away. Unknown. Not remembering who you were, where you're from, or how you got there. You could only place a name... "Orion. My name is Orion." You say, to the gruff old mechanic who took you in. His grey eyes and soft smile reminded you of someone you can't quite remember...
"Why is life born, just to die...? Honestly, I can't answer such a question, kid."
But the guilt laid heavy on your thoughts. Perhaps it was a question that had no answer? For now, it was enough. Life didn't have to die so cruelly. Not if you could save them first! Life didn't have to die! Not by war or conquest! You could protect them... You just needed to try...
"Even if we're all destined to die one day... I want to protect those who live now."
To fight for the present and future!
Because that's what a protector does... isn't it?
