The Glassian sighed as she floated down into the forest, rubbing the back of her head as she found a suitable rock to sit down upon and attempt to contemplate and figure out the situation. Until recently, she had been working alongside the Earth government as a part of "Task Force Shield", but the group she had been with had fallen apart and effectively disbanded as far as she was aware.
Then the President was replaced, with something going on about corruption? She hadn't been keeping a proper track of that, mainly because she wasn't technically a citizen of Earth after all. And thus hadn't considered she'd have any say or input in the situation.
Prior to that though, there had been talks of the Task Force being put to engage in... executions. And from what she had heard before coming out to this forest was that the new President would want to continue that line of thinking... The blue skinned woman sighed and looked up at the dancing lights of the sun as it filtered through the forest canopy. "I just want to help... But I don't want to kill anyone..." she said, slowly tucking herself up into a ball as she slid down the stone and sat in the mossy grass beside it.
"Why... Why do we always have to fight each other?" the Glassian pondered. "I don't want Earth to be destroyed or enslaved... but there has to be a better way than killing everyone else... Right?" she asked of the empty air, before sighing and placing her head atop her knees as she sat there.

Within the forest, a rather melancholy blue skinned woman; secluded an alone, lost in her thoughts. From an outside perspective, it seemed as though anguish and despair might claim her, if not for the forests own natural tranquility and allure. A peaceful breeze swept through the canopy above, rustling the leaves and bring an ambience of calm. From the accompanying silence, that followed, there would be yet another rustle however, then another. Small sounds, unassuming when one was so deep in the forest; a small surprise was soon to come, hopefully not one that would startle the Glassian however.
Fluttering, and chirping! Birds!
Small birds, lacking completely in any malice would grace the scene; three landing upon the rock the woman sat near, while a forth attempted to rest upon her head. The unassuming flock would seem to grow by a few more, as another bird emerged from the trees, stopping at a far branch and looking down upon the Glassian. Then another, emerging for but a moment and flying in place, before turning about and rushing back through the trees. Finally, another change; the emergence of a pair of rabbits, curious at the sight as they approached cautiously. They would sniff the air, their ears twitching as they tested the atmosphere; one would draw nearer, deciding to lay upon the grass beside Glainne, while the other sped back into the forest in the same direction as the previous bird had flown.
Another calming moment of silence, with several unexpected guests.
Though cautious, the animals that rested beside Glainne showed no signs of worry, merely keeping her company as she sat upon the grass. The cool atmosphere, and warm sun that trickled its light through the trees might have caused one to give way to sleep without a care. Glainne might have felt the same assuming her mind wasn't too riddled, though before such a peace could be achieved, the birds perched upon the rock would find themselves jolted awake by the return of the previously departed bird.
The group would scatter from the rock, taking up more comfortable seats upon the grass in front of Glainne, acting somewhat unnatural as if examining her. Then, the slighting push of wind from behind, soft, and easily mistaken for yet another breeze.
"My goodness, I had not expected such a familiar sight."
A soft voice spoke up; should Glainne have adjusted to search for the individual, it would not have been difficult. Behind Glainne, sitting upon the rock with her legs the side as gracefully as she could, sat Rhapsody. Her wings drew in close to her back, as she hoped not to intimidate or startle the Glassian; her ears twitched a bit, picking up on the subtle sounds of the forest. She offered a kind smile to the woman, her tail swaying about behind her softly, denoting her pleasant mood.
"Hello there!" She'd say happily, "It has been quite some time Miss Glainne, a pleasure it is to see you well!"
A creature of magic as she was, her presence was near non-existent; there would be no energy to sense, no pressure of a physical form, though she was clearly visible to the eyes. While the more common means of sensing may have failed however, should one have been capable of sensing the forms of Mana, though the minor power Rhapsody held may not have been felt, one would certainly be able to feel the magical presence the winged cat girl had.

Surveya was beginning to feel absolutely stifled by all the energies in the bustling cities and roaming towns of Earth. She'd gotten more used to the feeling of mortal ki, for certain, but that didn't mean she liked it any. Surveya was actually finding herself to not get along all too well with many of the mortals. So many of them had begun to harass her for the lack of divine intervention on her and the others gods' parts. What was she supposed to do? She'd been specifically told not to influence anyone's opinion while dishing out the questionnaires. Far be it from her to defy the orders of the high Kais...
She just needed a break, frankly. And after a bit of searching and warping around the planet to and fro, she ultimately discovered a forest that almost seemed as if it had been cloaked in calming, mystical ki energies that nearly blocked out the rampant muck of the industrial world's energies in its entirety. What a beautiful little respite! The calm, tranquil, almost serene forest almost reminded Surveya of the tree-covered areas of Kibito Park back in the Otherworld.
As urgent as her task was, Surveya just needed this brief moment to collect herself, otherwise she really did think she might snap at someone the next time they got all snippy with her during their interview.
Not terribly long into her small, therapeutic stroll through the woods, though, Surveya heard voices, and sensed energy. Mortal energy. She supposed it wasn't a surprise that this forest still had some travelers or wanderers who roamed it on occasion, though she'd been hoping to just have this small period to herself... Although, she had to wonder what this person was doing by themselves all the way out here. Hold on, though... She was hearing two voices, but only sensed one energy signature. What was this?
Her curiosity unsatisfied, Surveya decided to trudge through the forest until she finally broke through a pair of bushes, and indeed found two mortals... But one of them may as well have not existed, as far as she could tell when she tried to feel their ki. What was this? With little regard for personal space or privacy in the meeting between the two friends, Surveya barged right in and began to closely examine the blonde woman. "What is this? You are clearly of mortal make, but I cannot so much as sense a hair on your head," she pondered aloud as she looked the woman up and down, leaning around her and crouching down to examine every angle.
This did not seem to be some sort of illusion... And yet even up close, Surveya could hardly tell she was there, if it had not been for her eyes and ears. Surveya glanced at the blue-haired one and frowned. "Do you know this woman? Why am I unable to sense her presence?"
Onoma had been pretty entertained by Earth as a result of its many ridiculous things and even more ridiculous people. Honestly for the most part he was having fun doing whatever the hell he wanted to do.
The only time he wasn’t having any fun was when that floating half-dome temple thing was concerned. He wanted to break it down into tiny little pieces, it was a primal thing, a desire that would not be shaken by words. But, he had to be stronger for that, much stronger, and he had to know if anyone else was similarly inclined. In any case, he wasn’t going to take that thing down any time soon.
So, there he was, in the sky, floating some distance away from the Lookout, firing pot-shots of Ki at it, or throwing bricks really hard from a sack of bricks that he stole from some random construction site. None of this really did much, at least nothing that couldn’t just be cleaned up with minimal effort. At least it amused him.
Still, even he would eventually get bored, and now that his sack of bricks was brick-less, he figured it was time to find something else to occupy his time with. He lazily tossed the sack aside and rocketed downward into Korin’s Forest below, landing loudly in a random clearing that some people were presently occupying!
Once the dust from his arrival settled, Onoma had recognized a familiar face. “Oh. It’s you—” He pointed to Rhapsody. “Rachel, right?” It was not, in fact, her name. “Who’re these two dorks?” He gestured to the Glassian and Shinjin.
Glainne held as absolutely still as she possibly could, not wanting to disturb the forests fauna as they made their way through what is essentially their home... Only problem with that plan however was the fact that several of them decided to perch on her or sidle up beside her! Whilst they did feel kind of ticklish, and very cosy, the Glassian also didn't want to spook the creatures.
Although speaking of being spooked, when the blonde woman's voice perched up into existence, Glainne couldn't help but jolt! She hadn't sensed her approach nor her presence at all, and she couldn't help but give an audible whine as the jolt spooked several of the local forest fauna who had gotten comfortable on and around her. She sighed and ran a hand through her crystalline hair, frowning more at herself than Rhapsody. "That pretty much caps my day..." Glainne mused before taking another sigh and looking up at the winged feline woman. It took her a moment to recall, before she nodded back at her. "It's definitely been some time Miss Rhapsody... You seem quite different from when we last met though..." she pointed out, right as another two individuals arrived in quick succession.
The first was a very... inquisitive to put it politely grey or silver haired girl... Who Glainne also couldn't detect the energies of. Mortal make was a curious way of asking about someone, and before she could answer, a red skinned Namekian looking individual appeared on the scene, rather explosively. If any of the critters had stuck around after the initial visitor, they had almost certainly scattered and fled from this newest incursion.
The Glassian took in a long, loooong slow breath before exhaling, her breath becoming visible in the air as her attire began to shift and grow longer. Ice formed across the edges of her dress, forming lace like patterns, and the grass around her began to crackle with unseasonal frost. Glainne looked coldly, both figuratively and literally, at the crimson teenager who had disturbed this forests tranquil peace for no apparent reason. "I am so tired of this..." she said slowly. "Everywhere I go on this world, someone always disturbs the peace... Someone always breaks the tranquility..." murmured the crystalline woman as she hung her head and shook it glacially, her words carrying a faint growl to them.
"Why?" she asked, her gaze turning sharply back up towards the Namekian. "Why can't people just figure it out already, that all this fighting, all this destruction, all this chaos... All of it is senseless and needless?" she asked, her chest starting to heave faster with each word, tears forming at the edges of her eyes until they ran clear down her cheeks. "WHY DO YOU ALL KEEP TRYING TO KILL EACH OTHER?! WHY CAN'T WE JUST HAVE PEACE?!" Glainne roared, an explosion of ice and crystals sweeping out from beneath her feet, at first in a series of snowflake like patterns, before trying to solidify and climb upwards into a veritable frozen cage around the clearing...

Her intention had merely been to see what the fuss was about, the animals having been her guide to lead her to a curious visitor within the forest. The visitors however, would begin to increase rather rapidly however, as before she and the Glassian could even begin to catch up, another rather short sort would arrive with even more curiosity than the animals. Rhapsody would watch this white haired girl closely, curious herself as to why the little thing would be so interested in her. She was confused, and seemed almost angry even at not being able to "sense" Rhapsody's presence, but such a thing would elicit a laugh from the woman.
"Do you not see me?" she'd say playfully, "Can you not hear me?" she'd continue, reaching a wing out in an attempt to tickle the little girl's nose with a feather, "Or touch me? Hmhmh, I would say you can "sense" me quite well, all five of your senses should be working just fine with me in fact." she'd say, offering a kind smile despite her little bit of teasing.
The energy in the area would increase further still, the surrounding animals taking notice long before the trio and decidedly taking to flee. Rhapsody would tilt her head curiously looking back towards where the animals had fled; her left ear would perk up quick however, swiveling as she took notice of a sound piercing through the air. She'd turn to face where the sound was coming from, and as if on cue, arriving with a bit of chaos would arrive, Onoma.
"Hehehe, not quite." she'd laugh as Onoma called out to her by an incorrect name; she thought of introducing the towering crimson skinned philosopher to the other two, perhaps now would have been the perfect time for a bit of a relaxing tea party! Coffee for Onoma of course~! Yet, it wasn't to be, as rather than an introduction of her own, Glainne would shake things up, as well as cool things down, quite literally, as she rose and began to chew out... well, Rhapsody wasn't sure who, but since he scared away the animals, she had to guess it might've been Onoma.
Her wings would spread, and she'd quickly ascend, pausing for but a moment as she took notice of the expanding ice. Her gaze would fall upon the smallest of the group, the little white haired girl with the curious questions. Without a moments hesitation, Rhapsody would swoop down, sweeping Surveya into her arms to keep the ice from reaching the girl.
"Pardon me!" she'd say to the girl as she nabbed her, before rushing high into the air and turning her attention down upon Glainne, "Miss Glainne!? Are you quite alright???" she'd call out, a possibly silly question all things considered, "Please calm yourself, none mean you any harm!" she'd state, though now that Glainne had pulled the trigger, that might not have been entirely true any longer.
Oh, dear. Surveya seemed to have gotten herself involved with... A crowd. She immediately regretted her decision to come forth when a Namekian who, quite frankly, looked more like a Demon than a proper Namekian, came forth. Surveya scowled reflexively at him and his uncouth demeanor, though she didn't say anything that might start an argument. The last thing she needed was to have another Demon around who was keen on harassing her at every opportunity, like that goat woman had done. The strange, difficult to sense woman began to tease Surveya as well, prompting an unsatisfied pout to form on the Shinjin's face. She waved her hand up at the feather that had tickled her, her nose scrunching up as she resisted the urge to sneeze. "Hey!" she protested, "I only mean to say you're surprisingly difficult to detect, is all!"
As for the blue woman, well, it seemed one two many people had trespassed on her quiet time, and while Surveya certainly respected her desire for some peace and quiet, she did not respect that her answer to that peace being interrupted was to begin screaming and lashing out. "H-Hold on, now-" Surveya began to try and calm the woman down, though it was too late for that. Ice crystals erupted out from the ground, and would surely have pierced Surveya if it weren't for the fact that she was suddenly scooped up into the air by the blonde woman.
"Gah!" Surveya exclaimed in an undignified manner as she began to squirm. "S-Set me down!" she protested yet again, "Th-This is very undignified!" She was quickly regretting the fact that she'd ever reached out to these strange creatures. Mortals were too unpredictable! And explosive, too! Surveya also pointed her staff down at the icy woman, who she scolded, "And you! That is no way for a lady to behave! To scream and lash out at curious passersby! Shame on you!" Surveya certainly seemed to have no qualms with talking down to people who were strong enough to snap her like a twig, it seemed...
“Oh, right, my mistake. It’s Raelyn.” He shrugged, intending to make it hard to deduce if he was saying the wrong name on purpose or if he was an idiot.
Since he was more than used to random people scowling at him (or worse), Onoma simply smiled, showing off his pointed teeth. He briefly considered some sort of retort but the winged woman bothering the tiny Shinjin with feathers was probably humiliating enough.
Instead of getting any direct answer from Rhapsody as to who the other two were; one of them had begun spiraling into some sort of temper tantrum. Something about peace and tranquillity? “Pfft, okay, jeez. If you’re so tired, go take a nap.” Onoma snickered. “Or, go to a different planet then if it bugs you so much.” It worked for him when he ditched Namek all those years ago.
Onoma met the Glassian’s gaze with disinterest. He had no idea why she was saying all of this to him, and couldn’t care less about her having a freak out moment— and this seeming lack of empathy enabled him to respond bluntly without remorse. “Oh fuck of with the waterworks, all I did was show up. I haven’t destroyed anything let alone fought or killed anyone here.” At least not yet, and he wouldn’t need much of a reason to do it. Maybe pelting the Lookout far above with bricks calmed Onoma enough to not immediately react with violence? “Meanwhile—” He hopped backwards as he gestured to all of the ice that was now being conjured and the rapidly increasing disturbance it was causing. “You’re doing the exact thing you claim to be against.” Onoma scoffed and rolled his eyes. “Typical dumbass hypocrite. Can’t handle anything that isn’t within their cramped box of perfect pristine order.”
Glainne's chest heaved up and down as her breathing came out raggedly, the crystalline tears starting to ever so slowly evaporate from some unknown heat source. She could see her breath in the chilling air around her, and yet there was this pressure, this heat inside of her... It was just there, waiting, eeking out at the very tip of something. The Glassian could hear everyone's words... but at the same time she couldn't. It was almost like there was a dense fog cloud muffling the words... But whilst she couldn't make out what anyone was actually saying, Glainne could still infer their tone to a degree.
Rhapsody was concerned, whether for her or what was going on she couldn't say. The white haired girl was panicking, and admonishing at the same time... As for the crimson Namekian, the one who had placed the last straw upon the camels back... He was flippant. He was uncaring. He was arrogant. He was detestable. A sound escaped the Glassian's throat that had never been uttered before. A beastial growl... One that was filled with fury, anger, frustration... Her fingers began to slowly coat themselves with razor sharp crystalline claws, more akin to talons in fact.
But there was something strange about these talons of ice... Every other piece of ice and crystal around her and the area was white, or a pale pearlescent blue... These claws, these talons, they were pitch black. The stark contrast gave the azure haired woman pause. And in that moment of shock and confusion, everyone's words crashed into her mind at once.
"...Why?" she asked simply. Of the people gathered, herself, or nobody in particular she wasn't sure. The cage of ice and crystal began to slowly vaporise, gradually plunging the forest clearing into a fine wet mist. "I... I just wanted... wanted to help... this world..." Glainne said, dropping to her knees, her power dropping slowly back to her base state. "Why... Why is death the only answer they can find?" she asked, unsure if anyone could give an answer... Not that she expected one.
"I am just... so... tired..." Glainne said, letting out a long slow breath that joined with the mists. She looked at the two faces she didn't recognise before getting to her feet, with all the grace of a newborn deer, before giving a deep bow towards them. "I apologise for my outburst..." she said. "I've been... I've been under a lot of mental stress and pressure of late and your abrupt, explosive arrival acted as my own explosive catalyst." the Glassian explained before sighing and shaking her head. "Although that is no excuse for my actions..."
Word Count: 445
TLDR; Glainne dissolves the ice and crystals into mist, and powers down before apologising.
