When transformed - referred to as being 'Jacketed' by Penny and her friends - her entire body becomes encased in what appears to be a high-end mechanical suit of silvery grey metal plating atop a dark iron lattice with glowing yellow-green meshed power accents. This gives Penny a taller and more masculine, bulky appearance (about 6' 1") in addition to warping her voice to a more neutral/masculine cadence. The strange liquid metal symbiote is self-repairing in the heat of battle, with damage sustained slowly chipping away at reserve energy. Revealing the girl beneath generally means you've already beaten her to the point of unconciousness or death.
BACKGROUND: Penny was a normal girl. She went to an average high school with plain friends and a stable, everyday family. There was no earth-shattering call to action, no attack on Earth that drove Penny to gain power; she wanted to keep her head down and focus on daydreams and boy troubles rather than the fate of the galaxy and the twisted reasonings of supervillains. It would've stayed that way had it not been for a one-in-a-trillion chance. One early spring night, while she slept, a construct-being of alien origin came careening down to Earth. It had no name and no known predecessor, but the being was of liquid metal - a symbiote fusion of technology, magic, and biological design, and it needed a host.
She'd awake with a start, restrained and muffled, as the being started an irreversible process. Penny screamed, thrashed, and cried, but nobody came. The morning came and what the girl thought to be a disturbing nightmare would turn out to be all too true. She was terrified, unsure of what to do next. Utility Technique || FLIGHT
Bonding with the Alien suit granted Penny the ability to fly as any Ki or magic user can, the feeling similar to lightly flexing a previously unknown muscle in the body. It is silent and auraless, even when Jacketed.

Penny unwittingly has the ability to assess and categorize the unique signature of living beings, revealing their location, owner, and general power level. It filters into her brain as background knowledge unless concentrated on.
UTILITY || LIQUID METAL
The techno-symbiote bound to Penny's body is capable of manipulating itself in a semi-liquid state to quickly form new and complex shapes for a variety of applications, ranging from mundane use to combat. Penny's original flesh is still rigid, and only the Jacket's extensions have this ability.
