PL: 100,000 | Items: N/AIt would still take quite some time before Moire felt truly comfortable returning to any true form of civilization, but the good thing about her self-imposed exile is that she is able to take the opportunity to continue exploring the natural wonders of this planet. Starting here in the Korin Forest was natural, as it was a land that she was more familiar with than others, but there were absolutely other areas around that she hasn't taken the opportunity to explore quite yet. Who knows, the majin might just be able to stumble upon something interesting along her travels...
At this point, Moire had decided that if she was going to try to get ahold of herself and gain full control over her own actions and body, she'd need to get used to her new power first. The glowing red of the linings of her dress pierce through the foliage and trees while she brushes the branches aside, making her way through. Normally she'd opt to just simply fly over everything, but the forest was far too dense to see anything down here on the ground from up above, and so she opted to instead travel on foot. It's not like she'll need much to survive out in the middle of the forest anyhow.
Eventually the majin would find herself in the middle of a clearing, with a rather peculiar stone structure in the middle. Tiles were strewn about on the ground as if it were a sidewalk, but the age on the stones told a different story. Perhaps this may make a nice little spot to rest at for now...

Another day, another day Laezi would spend finding other places to train than the Spinach Wastes. Sometimes the dry air and harsh, tough grasses were enough to drive the little blue Majin right out of their local boundaries no matter how familiar they were. Sure, they had plenty of rocks to push around but, at the end of the day, she was getting more frustrated just being in the place than she was struggling against her own workout routine and so... She found herself here... in a forest! The cool shade, the dew-wet ground, the almost angel-soft grasses compared to the Wastes... It was all as refreshing as a cold glass of water to Laezi. Even the air was fresh, smelling faintly herbal as the trees exhaled their oxygen.
Speaking of trees, Laezi wasn't just here to admire where they lived! She was gonna use them to get stronger! ...But how...? Some of those trees grew wider and taller than some of the mountain-pillars in the wastes and Laezi hardly wanted to uproot them! Even SHE knew that it took a GOOD long time for trees to grow back! ...But then her eyes locked onto their branches: Thick, strong arms that could easily support her weight... Heck, some of them looked like they'd be able to support, like, a HUNDRED of her, so sturdy did they look! Her eyes then fell on the ground, spotting a large stone poking out of the ground, one that was roughly one-and-a-half-times the size of the girl herself and at LEAST ten times as heavy! Laezi's lips curled into a wide, plotting smile as her eyes flicked back up to the trees, spotting some thick, winding vines among the canopy.
"Unnngh...! UUUUUNGH!" Laezi grunted, swinging from branch-to-branch, her fingers digging into the smooth, strong wood of the upper tree-branches. The vines tied around her ankles creaked and groaned lightly with each swing, the heavy boulder tied at the end of them swinging like a pendulum. Laezi had to be extra careful not to move too fast and DOUBLY extra careful where she grabbed on the branches lest the boulder SWUNG into the tree trunks! She had already made that mistake once already... and the fall down to earth was... unforgiving, suffice it to say. Sweat rolled down the Majin's face, mixing with the grime forest leaves and bark left upon her cheeks, leaving dark lines running in awkward patterns marking her features as she swung. Laezi's goal was to get from one end of the forest to the other SOLELY off of this one exercise and already, she was making excellent progress!
That was... until the forest betrayed her. Even up this high, the brush was already thick, looser branches and leaves obscuring her vision and it had only gotten thicker. Even the branches she was now swinging from had gotten thinner, limber, even... Perhaps that should have been a sign that something was wrong but Laezi had been too focused on her exercise! She looked to the left, then to the right, seeing no solid branches to grab onto. This happened sometimes, forcing the little girl to swing-JUMP from one tree to another, only... the leaves were too thick to see even that! She had to take a gamble. She wasn't gonna quit early! She wasn't a CHUMP! And so, with a YELL of indignation, Laezi SWUNG her legs forward, using the momentum of the boulder to launch herself out through the brush, crossing her arms over her face to protect it...
...Only to find herself in a clearing!
"WAAAAAH!?" Laezi cried out, waving her arms frantically at her sides like a surprised chicken, already being TUGGED back to down to the ground meters into the clearing! In her panic, apparently, she had forgotten she could actually FLY and she paid for her forgetfulness by FACEPLANTING into the ground, vines finally snapping and causing the boulder to roll harmlessly in some other direction! Laezi lay facedown in the grass groaning, lamenting her decision... She shoulda looked... She shoulda gone some other way... She shoulda done a lotta things... Laezi raised her head, rubbing her aching nose... only for her silver eyes to widen, catching sight of some RUINS just ahead of her in the middle of the clearing! Tiles both half-buried in dirt and not littered the ground like a collapsed road around a stony structure of some kind, though it was far too weathered for the Majin to make out exactly what! ...And between Laezi and it, a purple woman stood observing the ruins. Laezi blushed out of embarrassment that she had blundered in front of her.
Stupid... STUPID Laezi... But she wouldn't take long to TRY and recover! Hiding her shame (poorly) behind a wobbly smile, Laezi would push herself to her feet, dust off her armor, and walk right up beside the stranger, looking up at the ruins too as if she knew EXACTLY what she was looking at.
"...Pretty rocks." Laezi decided, gesturing at the ruins. "...They're very old."

Moire's ears pick up a noise from behind her, and the majin immediately begins to reach out, attempting to sense what exactly it is that she's hearing. She expected it to just be another animal making its way through the trees and brush of the Korin forest, but she was quite mistaken. The power was quite insignificant compared to her own, but it could always just be a ruse, Moire didn't know for certain until the stranger made themselves apparent. The purple majin turns to face what's coming to her, the red across her clothes glowing brighter and brighter, and she was ready to strike...
That is, if needed. In this case, it would prove to be wholly unnecessary. When she faces who was making all of that ruckus within the treeline, it was none other than a little majin, one of her own kind, flailing as she fell from the air and lands face-first into the ground in front of her. Even Moire was stunned for a few seconds before shaking her head, eyes glaring at the little one as she picks herself back up, only to realize that she has intruded upon the presence of a far stronger majin. Her attempt at smoothing things over and changing the conversation is a bit commendable, but it isn't exactly enough to stop Moire from staring right at her all the time, though at the very least she wasn't looking to shred the intruder anymore.
"A bit more than just pretty rocks there, kin," Moire replies, turning her body now to fully face her, "Though I don't seem to recall our kind coming out here into the forest, swinging around on tree branches only to fall face first. Why is it that you are here, little one? You didn't happen to sense me, did you?"

Moire might've been able to tell what Laezi's strength was at a glance but Laezi...? Well... All she could tell about the lady before her was she was very pretty! Pretty... and kinda serious-looking. Laezi couldn't help but steal glances at the lady now beside her, attracted her her visage in the way a curious child might to somebody really interesting! She held herself with dignity, almost a regality, something the child identified as what she imagined to be a "queenly" manner about her. She dressed like some of the lady-mages did in the stories her momma used to read to her, having a fashion sense that seemed to favor shades of purple and black, not unlike the Majin herself! Her purple rubbery figure was what caught Laezi's eye the most, though... The little girl hadn't seen much of her own kind growing up, nobody beside herself and her mother, in fact. Seeing another one here, NOW, it sparked a genuine curiosity in the little blue girl... She wanted to know ALL ABOUT this lady and who knows? Maybe they'll even be friends!
"It was a big rock." Laezi agreed, nodding as sagely as such a comment deserved. Laezi looked up... then quickly away as the woman glared down at her. Golly, Laezi could feel the authority radiating off this lady from here. She reminded her of her Momma whenever Laezi had gotten up to mischief, causing little problems that got a HUFF and a stern look, a quiet warning of what the repercussions might be if she didn't stop acting a-fool. Laezi's posture notably straightened, almost rigidly, under the stranger's intense stare, a bead of nervous sweat rolling down her cheek. Did she do something wrong? Did she interrupt something important?
Whatdidshedo, whatdidshedo, WHATDIDSHEDOOOOOO?
"Uuuuum... Was training...?" Laezi suggested! "Wanna get stronger and stuff! Wanna be REALLY STRONG REALLY FAST so I train all the time all over the place!" Laezi once again looked up at the pretty lady and spread her arms wide as if to encompass the world around them. "Wanna be all cool like you one day, lady!" She flashed an excited grin in the woman's direction before flicking her eyes back towards the ruins... It was hard to keep eye-contact with someone who looked at you the way Moire was at Laezi... It was like staring into the face of a defensive beast, uncertain if it was gonna bite, back away, or just keep staring.
"Um... So... what do you mean 'our kind...?'" Laezi questioned, deciding to turn the questioning on the woman instead! "...What do you mean 'sense?' You're not smelly or loud... and I only just now saw you for the first time and..." Laezi would reach up and, if Moire would let her, she would take Moire's hand in hers, running a thumb over her hand. "...And you're all smooth and stuff but... I can't feel that all the way over there..." Laezi would take her hand back and use it to gesture at the brush from which she'd been flung. "Whatcha mean, whatcha mean?"

The smaller blue majin was very carefully studying Moire, that much was more than clear to the taller, purple one, but for what reason? The way that the smaller one was going about all of this almost made her like a child... Perhaps that may just be the case, that Moire is not dealing with a majin of her age, but rather a very young one, who has yet to experience much of the outside world. Whatever the case may be, considering the sheer difference in their power as well as the fact that the blue one was cracking under the pressure of Moire questioning her, it was more than clear that this majin meant no harm to the likes of her.
Moire let's out a low sigh as the smaller majin explains her situation, mentioning that she was out here training, and so she's done plenty of traveling across the land in order to get stronger. To what end, Moire didn't entirely know, but it's an admirable goal as always. Moire also had to raise a brow when the blue one mentioned becoming just as 'cool' as she was someday, to which... If under better circumstances, she'd take it as a full on compliment. Perhaps she still should. After all, how would the young one know of what sort of situation Moire herself is in. She begins to relax around her, knowing full well that there was no danger.
As to the blue one's inquiries, of which she had quite a few, Moire sought to tackle them one by one. As she strokes her hand, Moire explains to her, "Our kind, you and I... I refer to majins, our people. And as for sensing, I'm not referring to anything like touch or sound, but rather, a feeling, a connection through one's power. Through fine attunement, you can reach out mentally, and detect the powers and life energy of those around you, and the stronger you are, the further the distance you can feel, but the more obvious you are to others."

"We have a people?" Laezi probed, instantly hooked! Well, this was all new to her! The little blue girl hadn't spent all that much time around other Majin besides her mother, let alone SEEN THEM! Their home had been placed well out of the way of modern civilization and her mother had never spoken of their kind in any particular detail! They were who they were, Momma and Laezi! ...But apparently, there were more... A LOT MORE, a whole PEOPLE'S worth! "Mah-jin..." Laezi annunciated, drawing out the syllables. It was a lonely life when there weren't all that many people who looked like you around. Humans had other humans, Saiyans had whoever could punch them the hardest and Namekians seemed like natural loners a lot of the time... But Laezi...? Ever since her mother perished, the cold grip of isolation grew a little more icy each day. Sure, she LIKED people and even made friends with some of them... but they weren't LIKE her, really... They were humans... or Saiyans... or Namekians... et cetera. All that had changed in a matter of one conversation. Laezi's eyes lit up at the prospect, her face blooming into an excited, eager grin!
"I didn't know I was a Majin!" Laezi announced, bounding from foot-to-foot excitedly! "I didn't know we had a name! Momma never told me we were Majin!" She looked around, perhaps expecting some of her newly discovered people to just poke their heads out of the forest! ...Perhaps that was too much to hope for, but at least she had Moire, still! Speaking of her, the purple-skinned Majin remarked that she wasn't referring to the conventional senses, but rather a means of detection that allowed for the register and identification of life-force in a target! Laezi's eyes widened, her hands shooting up to her cheeks!
"You're a wizard...?" She questioned! And why not? It sounded like magic to her! "OH! OH! What do I feel like? Do I feel strong and stuff?" Already, the little blue girl was hooked. She stared up at Moire with the same eyes a puppy might with a treat dangled over it's nose, growing more excitable by the second! Laezi imagined she felt AWESOME to all who could feel her energy as she had been working HARD ever since her exodus. MANY rocks were pushed since that day, even MORE trees punched down! Laezi felt stronger than ever, her body feeling TIGHTLY packed with the strength she had built! As if to display how she thought of herself to the MUCH taller Majin, Laezi would step back and curl her arms upwards, flexing her limbs in a display of muscular strength! ...While it didn't show on her petite frame, there was enough tone-age there to indicate some level of power.
"So? SoooooOOOOO?" Laezi urged, bounding up and down, UP and DOWN. "Whatcha think, whatcha think??"

The little blue majin started getting excited at the thought of there being more of her own kind, which only made Moire wonder just what was this majin's life like, believing that she were the only one of her kind. Though she hadn't officially met another majin until about a year ago, she had always seen them, albeit it was always from a distance, viewing them through a crystal ball provided to her on the Land of the Kais before she was... Evicted. But enough thinking about that, as the little blue majin didn't even know that she was called a majin, only making her more curious as to what exactly happened to her in order to come to this realization now.
"Your mother never told you? That's rather strange. We're rather scattered across the galaxy, but I assure you, we're around. Still, I'm surprised you haven't come across any others up until now. How old even are you?" Given her rather short stature, Moire bends her knees a bit to look down at her, presuming that it's all likely because, well, the blue majin was still a kid at the end of the day. As such, it shouldn't be all too surprising that she has no knowledge of sensing one's energy, hence her confusion regarding the subject.
"Oh, I've felt your power alright, little one, and you appear to be quite strong at such a young age, perhaps almost as powerful as when I was your age..." Moire smirks, "Still, you have quite a long way to go before you can reach your full potential, I imagine."

"Woooow... Galaxies are biiiig, right...?" Laezi awe-ed... She remembered one time, late at night, she'd look up and see that BIIIIIG white streak across the sky made of stars. Her mother told her that that was their galaxy, that it was soooo big, not even the sky could contain it! And all of their people were out there, huh...? Moire seemed surprised that Laezi hadn't run into any of them before now and at that, Laezi cocked her head. "Should I have...? We're all over the place, right...? I didn't know that there were that many of us..." But if there weeere... Maybe she should go out into the city more! Maybe she'd find more of them and she could make friends! She so wanted friends... It got lonely out there in the plains...
"I'm eleven!" Laezi proclaimed, holding up 10 fingers... and a tentacle! "Why, I look older?" She puffed her chest out pridefully! Sometimes, the little blue Majin grew frustrated with being a child... Everyone looking down on you, never taking you seriously, not able to go on the giant rides everyone else could... It was MADDENING! Moire would then state how STRONG Laezi was for her age, maybe nearly matching Moire at that age! Laezi puffed her chest out even more! "I try! I wanna get even stronger and stuff! I'm gonna lift all the rocks until I do!"
"'Poh-tent-al?' Where's that?" Laezi asked, tilting her head. "...And why is it mine? Where do I get it? WHAT even is it?" She looked around, raising a hand to her forehead to shield her eyes from the sun! Was it over there, or there? ...And how did MOIRE know where it was? Did she see it? She must've if she knew how far Laezi was from it?

"Yes, yes they are quite big," Moire confirms to the blue majin, smirking a bit at all of the amazement behind those eyes. She can't help but recall the last time that she was like this, oh so long ago... Even if they were memories that she'd rather forget due to what happened long afterwards. There was no going back to that old life, but that little reminder of innocence back then had its charm. "While I won't say that there's oh so many of us, we're still quite plentiful. You'll just have to keep a sharp eye out. You won't see many among earthlings, namekians, arcosians, saiyans, or whoever the natives of the planet you're on, but they'll be mixed in, popping in on occasion."
As for the little majin being merely eleven, well... it's around what she anticipated. Moire tubs her chin a bit. "Eleven, huh? You still have a long life ahead of you, then," Moire comments, watching the blue majin act as tough as she can, all while going on about training by lifting a whole bunch of rocks. Doing something like that is fine for starters, but if she has true ambitions for growth, then she's going to need far more than measly rocks as weights. "What you'll need are brand new weights for specialized training... That, and potentially actual sparring partners."
The little blue majin was quite the inquisitive one, something that seemingly so few youth are nowadays. "Potential... It is in essence your full capacity, your peak power and might, you at your absolute strongest point. You have a long road to travel before you reach your strongest form. If you want to see what just a mere fraction of potential you may have inside... Look at me." At that moment, Moire's eyes glowed a bright red, the wind kicking up around her as her power suddenly flares up. The glowing red seams across her dress glow even brighter as Moire showed off some of her power. "I know you can't quite sense it yet, but physically, I'm sure you can feel it."
Post by Majin Laezi on Apr 22, 2024 16:36:27 GMT -5
"Wooooow..." Laezi murmured as Moire confirmed her suspicions! She also learned that, while their people PROOOOOBABLY wouldn't be as numerous as, say, another race on their own planet, they were probably numerous enough that Laezi would encounter them if she kept her eyes open! The Majin blinked, cocked her head... and thought about it a bit. Now that Moire mentioned it, the little blue Majin hadn't exactly been making the BIGGEST effort in being around people generally! Most of her days were spent pushing rocks around and stuff, shifting the faces of small patches of wastelands into NEW wasteland faces! She'd then go out to find stuff to eat and then... sleep the rest of the day- BY GOLLY, Moire was probably RIGHT! Maybe if she didn't SLEEP that day, she could find some of her own people!
Laezi's mouth opened into a WIDE, excited smile. She was gonna have a new Momma! OH! And maybe sisters too! Brothers! She wasn't gonna be alone anymore! Just the idea of being back in her home with people around her again, people that looked like HER, IT.... Laezi's smile faltered, drooping at the edges as the spark in her eye flickered out. ...It kinda hurt to think about... Almost like she was replacing her Momma. WELL, she JUST COULDN'T DO THAT, NOOOOOOOO SIR! Momma was NICE and even though she wasn't around anymore, Laezi wasn't about to treat her like she never existed!
Nodding her head with resolve, Laezi set this vow internally in stone. She wasn't gonna forget her Momma or what happened to her. Not EVER.
WELL, with that development out of the way, Laezi would tune back into her conversation with Moire, the older, taller Majin stating that while Laezi's exercises were good for a beginner, she would need NEW things! Weights... and sparring partners! Laezi's eyes WIDENED at the second suggestion!
"You mean I get to punch people and not feel bad about it!?" Laezi asked with incredulous excitement! "I WANNA! I WANNA!" Now, Laezi knew hurting people was bad in MOST circumstances... but she had to admit, punching people was fun anyway. There was just something about it, how their faces deformed against her fist or how STRONG she felt when they recoiled from the force of her blows... It was just so.... gooooooood... She grinned dreamily at the prospect, fighting someone who WANTED to fight back! She was suuuuuuure her Momma wouldn't mind it if she traded blows with a willing participant! After all, it wasn't like she was doing anything BAD if they were asking for it, right? ...She paused, though, remembering the weights... She frowned.
"You mean heavy stuff? Do I GOOOOOOTTA wear them....?" She groaned the words out as if the thought of dense, heavy clothing repulsed her. "I mean... I wanna fight people AND be able to walk and stuff! Its gonna be SO HARD to punch people with them oooooonnnn..." She grumbled and grunted but if Moire pushed the issue, Laezi would make a BIG SIGH, still obviously displeased with the idea! "Okaaaaaaaay... Only if it makes me strong faster..."
AND, in fact, that was where the NEXT bit of their conversation was going: Strength. More accurately, the pinnacle of it for that was what potential was! Laezi made an 'o' with her mouth as she listened to Laezi explain it, that even now, the little blue Majin could tap into a tiny bit of it if she wanted to! ...And now Moire was going to demonstrate a bit of hers.
...Suddenly, the air pressure changed, falling heavy and quiet. The change was SO SUDDEN, in fact, that Laezi stopped herself, looking about as if trying to find the wind... Well, Moire found it and WHIPPED IT AT LAEZI! Air RUSHED around Moire as if she were the center of a hurricane, pulsations of ki flattening the grass below them in waves and PUSHING BACK the Majin who stood before it! Laezi stumbled back a step, two, three... and almost falling on the fourth before she found her footing, dropping down into a half-crouch and crossing her arms over her face to deflect the wind around her... at least enough so that she could STAND against it! Oh, but wind tricks weren't all. Moire... was glowing. Her eyes, her dress, they all lit up like lanterns in the night, energy crackling around the Majin faintly... but powerfully. She wasn't ON FIRE like some of the other people she'd seen from a distance... but Moire was right: Laezi COULD feel it... She could feel it in her flesh that she WAS strong...
"I wanna do that!" Laezi proclaimed over the wind, smiling eagerly at the taller Majin! "Please teach me! I wanna be strong like you! I wanna be like you! I wanna, I wanna, I wanna!"

With every single little factoid that Moire shares with the little blue majin, the more her eyes seem to widen in sheer awe, making Moire question what exactly this little majin's creator and parent has been teaching her about her own kind, if anything. That was, until her smile and that spark in her eye suddenly vanished, making the purple majin raise a brow as to what may be going on inside of the little one's head. What exactly was she thinking about? Pondering about what all of this could mean for her and her parent's relationship now that she's aware of her kind? Hard to say for now.
As for the prospect on training with other fighters in order to grow stronger together, something seemed to click inside of the little blue majin's head, almost immediately blurting out how much she wants to do it, her excitement practically shaking Moire. "Well, at least you're quite eager about it," Moire comments as she rubs her chin. The blue majin, however, calms down just a bit when she remembers that she has to wear some of those heavy weights in order to grow stronger. There were always other options when it comes to getting stronger, but considering what's happened to Moire when she last absorbed someone, it would perhaps be best to not recommend that the little blue majin attempt any absorptions herself...
"To grow stronger, you'll need to train your body, and one of the most popular ways to do so is to exercise your body, to put it to the test and to push it. Weights across your body is one such method to train your whole body in one go, to make every movement difficult to make, to force your body to adapt to the new weight, and then move on to the next set when you get used to it." Moire mentions to the little majin before she begins her demonstration of what true power is like. The wind whipping all around Moire brushes past the blue one, the leaves and bushes rustling from the sudden rush as she takes in the amazing sight in front of her.
"You can achieve this, but it will take great strides to achieve such a form, that I can assure you... Little... One... I do not believe I have ever gotten your name, little one. I am Majin Moire. What is your name?"
Post by Majin Laezi on Apr 26, 2024 17:41:07 GMT -5
"YEAH! I wanna!" Laezi proclaimed, her chest swelling up like an inflating balloon... before she immediately DEFLATED at Moire's revelation that weights would, in fact, be necessary if she was gonna get any meaningful strength out of her training. The little blue Majin made a face and puffed out her cheeks, pouting. WHY weights though!? Laezi had tried them once, put them on thinking they were regular clothes, you know? ...And found that she couldn't even walk two or three steps! ALL of her strength was dedicated to putting one foot in front of the other, not even DOING THINGS! Not only was she then BORED, but she was also TIRED just going up and down stairs! It didn't exactly make it more appealing that Moire implied that the first set wasn't even the only one! She was always gonna be covered heavier and heavier stuff no matter how strong she got!
...But when she thought about those times when she could take them off... Laezi thought back to just a minute ago when Moire's energy EXPLODED outward, a mere piece of her power nearly putting Laezi on her rear! Had that come from weights...? It must've been if Moire was prescribing them to her! But... she... UUuuuuuugh...
"Okaaaaaaay..." Laezi grumbled, kicking a pebble near her boot. "I'll wear the stupid weights..." It sounded as if Laezi needed some convincing and Moire picked up on that immediately. In a FLASH of power, the HARSH winds and blistering gales were back with a VENGEANCE, slapping aside the petite blue Majin as if she were little more than DUST in it's winds! Laezi let out a shriek as she was throne completely off her feet, CRASHING into one of the rocky ruin pillars and being pushed roughly against its surface! GRITTING her teeth and turning her head, Laezi PUSHED herself off the pillar, fighting TOOTH AND NAIL to resist the almighty push of Moire's power! Through a single squinted eye, Laezi beheld Moire's new form... and was almost struck DUMB with it's majesty!
"Un...real..." Laezi grunted! "But how...?" Why, it was from Moire's training of course and, with enough pushups, sit ups, and plenty of milk, it could all be hers! Laezi's eyes GLOWED with eagerness! She wanted it... She wanted it not unlike how a thirsty man craved water! But introductions first! Moire would take the initiative and speak her name, Laezi smiling at it. Such a nice name... Mysterious, even! Fitting.
"I'm Laezi!" The Majin called over the gale winds. "Majin Laezi! Will you train me?"
