SPECIES: Earthling - Makafushigi Adventure | Martial Artist (Light)| Cash Money

STARTING PLANET: Namek

CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE: A Crocodilian Zoan standing at roughly seven feet and five inches in height. His back scales are dark green but tinted to more of a black due to him weaving in hyperlight kevlar. His non-scaled parts are yellow-brown and often caked in dirt, dust and black powder.
Across his body are various scars and burn marks, most of them inflicted from his own explosive experiments. His left arm is entirely missing, in its place is a prosthetic he created himself. One part flamethrower, one part double-barreled shotgun.
Most of the time Jack is adorned in a long tattered coat, leaving his chest pretty much bare apart from a leather harness in which he stores some extra grenades. He wears a half-burnt wide-brim hat on his head as well. To keep the sun out of his eyes.
Despite his imposing demeanour and penchant for dangerous acts. Smilin' Jack does keep to his name sake. Even when his mouth is closed his teeth are visible. Smilin' Jack always smiles.

BACKGROUND: The Osbek tribe of Earth's Southern Tropics are a humble and traditional group who reside almost entirely in one small village that borders both a freshwater river and the ocean. Though tough, and protective of their lands. The Osbek are not aggressive or hostile in most cases. Being quite friendly and welcoming of outsiders, and open to trade with the rest of Earth and beyond. As long as their culture is respected, anyone is welcome.
Their primary exports are from Fishing and Leatherworking, as hunting is a large part of their history. They are respectful hunters though, and ensure that they keep to a strict schedule of when to hunt and fish certain creatures and when to let those creatures repopulate.
Smilin' Jack is one such Osbek. Or a "Gatorman" as some like to call them, though this is a misnomer. He grew up like anyone else in his tribe, learning their history and traditions. Being taught to hunt and fish. But he didn't take to it as well as his peers did. He craved innovation, technology, danger.
In Osbek society a child can only come of age once they've finished their "Omen Hunt" all that is required is that the youth hunt a quarry that is physically bigger than themselves. It is said that the quarry slain by the youth is a prediction of their future. The poor wording of this tradition is where Jack...then known as Makara, would alter his path.
By the time he was of age for his Omen Hunt Jack had already drawn the ire of the elders in the tribe by using non-traditional means to hunt and fish. He had tried to introduce dynamite fishing at one point, which had almost seen him exiled. So when the time came for his hunt, the elders weren't hopeful. But Jack already had a quarry in mind. A banking firm that had recently opened up a skyscraper office in South City. So large that they could even see it from their village. Jack saw it as an eyesore. Not only that, they were clearly sitting on a lot of money they didn't need.
While his peers were felling Dinosaurs, spearing Great Fish or bringing down massive birds of prey Jack was meticulously planning out the most daring act of his life so far. He spent a month planning and crafting his explosives. And then the day came that hit headlines around the world. "BOOMER BANKING SKYTOWER GOES DOWN IN BAFFLING BLAZE!" It was the crescendo of all his hard work. And he had half a vault's worth of cash as a prize to show for it. The tower went up like a faulty firework. And the bank soon lost all presence in South City, and following such an expensive loss, was soon forced to close permanently.
Jack returned to his village triumphant, showing them the evidence. He had felled a quarry larger than himself. But for the Elders this was the last straw. They accepted Jack as a full adult in the eyes of the tribe. But he was henceforth exiled, never to return. Torn between spite and heartbreak, Jack briefly considered doing something drastic. But after calming himself he realised it was all for the best. He left his home without a fuss, using his stolen wealth to secure an apartment on Earth.
That was when he took on his alias. And Makara became a thing of the past. Smilin' Jack worked fast setting up an online presence as an arms dealer. Though unlike his peers in the field, he wanted quite the opposite of anonymity. He always demanded to meet his clients in person, and lost a lot of business as a result. Those that did meet him would find themselves endlessly questioned about their experience with explosives, their intentions for them and some other random queries just so he could gauge their responses.
In truth Jack wasn't all too concerned with whether his clients intended to use the bombs to liberate an oppressed village or blow up a local orphanage, as long as they paid. What he wouldn't accept was a client who disrespected his handiwork or didn't appreciate his craft. Someone who didn't know what they wanted and just wanted an explosive for the sake of it would find their business swiftly rejected. Someone who mocked his work and demanded a discount would find themselves swiftly ejected from whatever location they were currently in. He was an odd businessman, but his work was solid enough to get him repeat clients. And those he worked with knew he could keep a secret.
In the current day Jack moves around a lot. Not just to different cities, but to different planets entirely. After a cruise ship job went slightly awry he decided to take a brief sabbatical on Namek to rest and recharge and maybe scope out some new clients.
The Empire that was invading at the time may be a decent customer, if he could put on that South City charm at least.

Light Offensive || Party Popper [MA]ADDITIONAL NOTES: Would like starter transformation renamed to 'Short Fuse' please.
"A more 'family friendly' version of my typical beauties. The Party Popper is a fun surprise for any foe. Just take one of the little round bastards and huck it at somethin' that you want lightly exploded." - Smilin' Jack, The Anargator's Cookbook
Power: 30%
KP Cost: 1 KP
Variants:
Light Offensive || Improvised Explosive Device
"The bread and butter of my explosive arsenal. The IED can be set on a timer, triggered remotely, or just thrown really hard at someone. It has enough packed into it that it'll make most folks think twice about getting hit again." - Smilin' Jack, The Anargator's Cookbook
Power: 50%
KP Cost: 2 KP
Variants:
Medium Offensive || Jack's Flamin' Hot Sauce
"Note to self to not mix this up with my actual home hot sauce recipe, not again anyway. This little beauty is my own pride and joy. A perfect blend of different herbs and spices that are sure to set your foe's soul ablaze. Or wait...was that the actual hot sauce recipe?" - Smilin' Jack, The Anargator's Cookbook?
Power: 60%
KP Cost: 4 KP
Variants: Bleed
Light Evasive || SMOKE BOMB!
"A little uninspired, but gets the job done. Y'ever see a Ninja? Liar. Anyway this little bundle of joy will put some chokin' smoke in between you and your opponent in case you need to dip out the way of somethin'. Just make sure ya hold yer breath when you throw it, and for the love of all things don't mix it up with the Party Popper. Remember, Red for the Popper, Blue for the Smoke...or was that the other way around?" - Smilin' Jack, The Anargator's Cookbook.
Power: 60%
KP Cost: 2 KP
Variants: Evasive
Light Defensive || Scales and Kevlar
"Now a tribesman already is tough as all hell. But I've got a secret, weave a bit of kevlar into your scales and you can turn tough as hell into tougher than hell. Sure it might not save ya from a space laser, but it'll take the edge off." - Smilin' Jack, The Anargator's cookbook.
Power: 30%
KP Cost: 1 KP
Variants:
Light Defensive || Burnt Before
"Now if you're anything like me, you're an artist more than a chemist. Unfortunately that means you're gonna be scorched to crap before you make anything worth tossin' the beauty of that is. Less nerve-endings means less pain. Every cloud right?" - Smilin' Jack, The Anargator's Cookbook.
Power: 50%
KP Cost: 2 KP
Variants:
Medium Sparking Offensive || Not sure what this one does!
"Now I'm gonna be honest with you here. This one came about when I accidentally drank the explosive hot sauce rather than the regular hot sauce. I haven't tested it, frankly I'm kinda scared to touch it. But it'll be very excitin' when it do go off." - Smilin' Jack, The Anargator's Cookbook.
Power: 110%
KP Cost: 4 KP
MP Cost: 3 MP
Variants: Quake
Utility Technique || Rocket Pack
There is a distinct grace in harnessing one's Ki to a point of such perfection that they can glide through the air elegantly. But why waste time doing that when a rocket strapped to your back will do the same job in less time?
This technique gives the same benefits as flight, with none of the added elegance.
Utility Technique || Full Metal Jackass
Jack is not a refined martial artist. He does not use Ki points. He uses Kerplow points. Whilst he is still detectable by Ki sense like any living creature his attacks are primarily just him making explosives on the fly. But hey, as long as it works!
