Gira was surprised and saddened even further when her opponent began crying. The guide approached, mentioning someone named Xiaolan. This name appeared to have an effect on the dark Zuqetta, causing them to finally speak. Their voice was raspy and the weakened embers of their energy where continuously faltering and growing weaker. The Saiyan looked down with pity at the fallen fighter as she listened to the tale of their struggle to be good, and losing someone who acted as their support. As the emotions were finally let out, the formerly imposing warrior began to look far more vulnerable, losing the color in her hair and much of her massive bulk along with it. Eventually, she didn't look so different from the real Zuqetta.
The gaze of the dark Zuqetta fell on Gira next, saying that she would one day leave like everyone else. She would leave Zuqetta alone, just like her friend did. With the last words of Zuqetta's dark counterpart, Gira came to a realization; she was lonely. All of what she had done in lashing out with violence had just been to cover up a great deal of pain. A lot of people seemed to act that way when faced with the prospect of being truly alone in the world... and there were also those who were lonely because they chose to be, because they feared losing anything else in their lives. Gira had now met both sorts of people... and she wasn't entirely sure what to think. Gira flinched slightly as she felt energy in the dark Zuqetta fade completely. Instinctually, she moved to somehow help her, though in reality, there was little she could have done at this point.
Feeling the guide's gentle touch on her arm, Gira turned and looked back at her. She wasn't sure what to say. Thankfully, the guide would be the one to break this long silence, informing the young Saiyan that the dark Zuqetta had taken the memories of this Xiaolan person. Their loss must have caused Zuqetta a lot of pain. Gira herself lacked the constant guidance her sensei gave her now that he was gone, and sometimes she felt lost and lonely too. Gira could only think of one thing to say.
"It's really hard sometimes... to know what the right thing to do is." Besides this, there was a question that she had been really wanting to ask since the conversation ended.
"Who was Xiaolan?"
