Gira listened to what the guide told her, carefully considering it in her mind. She was grateful to get advanced warning about the potential confusion that the Queen may suffer from once they were back in the real world. She wondered how much time had passed out there. This was the first time she had used this technique since developing it, so details like that were something she would have to learn as she gained more experience using it.
Then there was the matter of Zuqetta's recollection of these events being affected by Gira's actions here. It seemed that she might actually be accomplishing what she set out to do. Maybe she was actually helping. Her worries about changing Zuqetta too much were assuaged, thankfully, by the guide. There were many more memories that made up who Zuqetta was, and so of course her changes wouldn't affect the Queen in a fundamental way.
"I... kinda guessed that you and Zuqetta weren't the same. You guys have a different... feeling about you." Gira watched as the guide entered through the open door, following her immediately after her. After this long walk down memory lane, they were approaching the end. Soon, she would learn the truth about her sensei. After getting to know Zuqetta through these unconventional means, she wasn't sure what to expect. Was the Queen really telling the truth? The young Saiyan didn't understand why this seemingly kind girl would lie to her about something like that.
Something about her anger, too... it seemed too genuine. And then she hesitated right before it appeared they would come to blows. Why? If she was lying for some reason, then why did she hesitate? Gira bit her bottom lip nervously as she stepped through the door and into the blinding light. If it was true, then Gandigan lied to her. Peace and diplomacy were never his goal. She would just be a puppet Queen for the Mazoku. Gira wondered what other kinds of horrible things they could trick her into doing just based on how much she trusted them. What would that mean for her? Would she have no choice but to believe that he never truly cared about her at all? Never actually believed in her? It was that belief she thought he had in her that led to the young Saiyan becoming more confident in her strength and her ability to be an actual, serious adult. A leader.
But if it was all a lie... then maybe her belief in herself was just as fake.
