Mayhem
NAME: Quin 'Cutal (Qwen - Coo - Tall)
ALIASES: Mayhem, May
AGE: 43
GENDER: Female, She/Her
SPECIES: Nu 'Saureili (New - SAW - Ray - Lee) / Protosaur (Alien)
FULL SAUCE:
You start with the Max Power technique for free during character creation. In addition, Max Power no longer drains momentum, and you can gain up to 1 MP naturally per turn.
DURABILITY:
Once per thread, after all other damage reductions, reduce an incoming attack's power by an additional 40%.
SURVIVALIST:
If you are below 80% of an opponent's PL, your techniques can now fizzle against theirs so long as they are within 60% of their power. Additionally, you can still fizzle against techniques with Overflowing. This only applies if your technique is the weaker one.
GENERAL TRAITS:
BARE-KNUCKLE BRAWLER:
If you enter a thread with no combat* items or consumables, your non-sparking Defensive Techniques that do not have the Evasive Variant gain +5% power. Being given an item mid-thread nullifies this trait.
IMPOSSIBLE RECOVERY:
You only suffer -75% HP when wounded instead of -100% HP. Once per thread you may use Second Wind even if you have already transformed.
STARTING PLANET: NAMEK
HOME REGION: Will choose later.
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE:
(True Protosaur form, and compared human form disguise, for scale.)
Like most Protosaurs, May's natural form is a large bipedal dinosaur-like figure resembling Earthling Dinosaurs, usually of the large carnivorous type. Slight humanoid features show themselves past the primitive animal form, seemingly standing up straighter than most other species on their home planet. May herself is around 42' long from head to tail and 25' tall. Vibrant purple and accents of orange and green fit well in the colorful flora of the planet. She is usually present around 5'4" in human form. Typically keeping some semblance of her proud heritage in the form of wearing costumes. Of course, in the form of Protosaurs. Often mistaken for any other Earthling dinosaur.
BACKGROUND:
After some months of tormenting Earth, Mayhem had figured out how to hijack ships. On the constant run from authorities for her acts of barnyard terrorism, the protosaur decides to vacate the gree and blue ball for a different one. She isn't a particular good driver, so once the autopilot kicked off she was once again stranded somewhere. Oh well... Maybe the protosaur will develop an appetite for cabbages before something bad happens.
TECHNIQUES 4 + 1~ + 0* (2 Utility + 0')
(Will learn more later)Light Offensive || Tail Crush / Snap Jaw
Utilizing weight and strength, no matter what size, May can bring either her nasty chompers or massive tail down on her prey. Rip and tear, Smash and grab.
Power: 40%
KP Cost: 2 KP
Variants: +10% Power x 3
Light Defensive || Harden
The tough skin of a Protosaur is naturally resistant to wear and tear. Flexing muscle and energy, it can be further exaggerated when bracing against weaker attacks.
Power: 20%
KP Cost: 1 KP
Variants: Ki Cost Reduction, +10% Power
Medium Offensive || Jurassic Rushdown / Maw of Mayhem
Dashing towards their prey, May stomps and flails clawed arms around. Hoping to register a hit on something she can then use to grab a hold and lunge at with the full might of her bite. / Opening wide, May can build up a large amount of light green energy in the back of her throat. Shining beyond her pearly white and sharp teeth before sending a devastating beam of energy outwards. Aimed where her mouth is pointed.
Power: 80%
KP Cost: 4 KP
Variants: +10% Power x 4
Heavy Sparking Offensive || Ravage~
Leaving any sense of defense aside, May throws herself into a sudden frenzy. Tracking and flailing at a target with an unrelenting assault of scratches, bites, and kicks before finishing it with a tail swipe. Aiming to send them back to the ground if airborne.
Power: 150%
KP Cost: 6 KP
MP Cost: 5 MP
Variants: Overflowing, +10% Power x 8
Support Technique || Hunt (MAX-Power)
Protosaurs are naturally bulky and stronger than most other life. Some would consider them stomping around and charging down a target their main way of getting about, hunting, fighting, whatever. It takes some effort for them to maneuver their body in any timely manner, preferring to smash through obstacles and butt up against attacks threatening them.
Utility Technique || Ki Sense
A technique that allows you to sense, measure, and differentiate the ki signatures of ki attacks and all living beings without the Anti-Sense trait. Higher ki signatures are easier to sense and can be sensed at greater distances than lower ones. This technique is passive and does not use KP.
Utility Technique || Mask of the Nu 'Saureili
The trait that most smart and capable protosaurs learn. Especially if they want to interact with anything off their home planet. This is their shapeshifting technique, designed to mold their body into various shapes and sizes to trick, hunt, or even converse with aliens in a civil manner as to not frighten them. They can shrink themselves down to tuffle shapes and sizes, or grow themselves up to human-like giants comparable to their true protosaur forms. This is a relatively quick transformation.
