CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE: Tulse is a slightly stocky, very scarred-up woman, who by all appearances, is essentially an average Saiyan. She has black, long, spike and very messy hair, and the usual dark eyes and brown tail that befit your average Saiyan. As a member of the Saiyan army, she is nearly always garbed in standard-issue armor, with a few personal modifications here and there. Tulse's height falls slightly short of the larger members of the race, with her landing at 5'6". Of her scars, the most notable is one directly in the center of her throat, with a matching one on the back of her neck - Tulse proudly displays it as proof of her tenacity.
BACKGROUND: Tulse was born a low-class Saiyan, into a large family of six brothers and four sisters. She was in the middle of the pack, with two more brothers and three more sisters being born after her, and while she was only half-related to most of her siblings, with some sharing their mother and some sharing their father, they were all raised under the same house in the Radditsu District of Sadala. Though it was a small, cramped, and always loud house, they all loved each other like the family they were, and Tulse was never alone, nor was she ever truly unhappy.
Of course, after the Saiyan-Tuffle War was over, nearly every single one of those siblings had either died or been permanently disabled.
Tulse herself had nearly died on four separate occasions. The first, she had been aboard an attack ship moving out across the wastelands that was shot down by a Tuffle missile. Her eldest brother had died, and she had nearly lost her leg, though she ended up making a full recovery. The second time, a Tuffle sniper had gotten the jump on her, and gotten off a blaster bolt directly through her neck. She'd only barely survived that one thanks to some swift medical attention, though her voice was much raspier afterwards. The third time, a Destron bot had ambushed her squad and self-destructed, blasting Destron everywhere - she'd only survived because her younger, but taller, sister jumped on top of her and buried her as she absorbed most of the deadly gas herself. And, finally, in the Tuffle surprise attack on Sadala, she had been shot multiple times in the torso by one of the invading soldiers, and had somehow managed to drag herself to safety - the next thing she remembered was waking up in the hospital, where she had been informed that most of her remaining, younger siblings hadn't survived the attack.
The recovery from her last near-death experience had taken so long that she'd entirely missed the battle that ended the war, something she always cursed herself for. Who was she going to go and fight now?! She thought she had her answer in the second major battle of Hatchi, in which the first Super Saiyan emerged, but she had been unceremoniously knocked out by one of the Heran invader's soldiers before the Super Saiyan had even spawned - and she'd awakened in a hospital, again, only to hear about what had happened after the fact (and she was informed that yet another sibling of hers had been killed in the battle).
After this battle, Tulse ended up kindling a flame of sorts with another Saiyan soldier she had crossed paths with named Tzad, and who had actually been responsible for saving her life in one of her several near-death encounters. While Tulse isn't one to put labels on anything - nor has she ever really given it thought to begin with - the pair have grown close, and Tulse has begun to act as the 'cool aunt' to Tzad's child from a previous fling, and she does rather pride herself on how many stories of epic battles she can regale the runt with.
Now that the battles have begun to wane, and the future of the Saiyan Kingdom seems unclear under new leadership, Tulse is simply biding her time and honing her strength, ever at the ready to jump back into the fray and achieve glorious victory, or reunite with some of her family.
