The sounds of various arrays of instruments and mechanisms spurring to life filled the nearly empty main bridge of the currently free-floating capsule corps shuttle. From the shadows of the sizable compartment, sightless eyes gazed across the vast expanse of nothingness before them with a critical glint within their blind gaze.
Calot had never been so far away from home before, and yet here he stood, soaring across the outer area of Earth's gravitational pull in an attempt to get a feel for space travel on a much smaller scale. While most other people his age likely already had years of space travel under their namesakes, the Oni-Saiyan had only ever read of it- his family having moved from Plant to Earth years before he was ever conceived. Never before in the young man's life did he ever feel inclined to even entertain the idea of exploring the rest of the cosmos proper, considering his single mindedness on the goal of greater strength that continued to elude him to this day. But, with the unlikely arrival of Ayu into his life, and the plethora of changes that followed suit, the reflective swordsman was forced to take inventory- reorganizing his priorities, and making the adjustments necessary for the influx of new factors and influences now present in his life.
One of the most recent adjustments taken being the finding of things for the aforementioned little one to do. Although school was certainly on the forefront of the young man's mind for Ayu, there was still much to do in the time it'd take for him to find a proper school for her. And while there was still much to discuss and explore within the Tirisfel family manor, Calot did not wish to see her curiosity dwindle by spending too much time indoors. Not everyone was like he, who could spend weeks on end in isolation without becoming utterly mad.
But that then begged the question- what was something that any child would find fascinating that wasn't relegated to some place on the planet they could go and visit any time? Calot's answer was, at that moment of pondering, space- or at least, something that space was known for, anyways.
That being the wondrous spectacle of celestial bodies that shone throughout the fabric of darkness and matter. Stars were something that almost all people could appreciate the beauty of, and Calot knew that a child like Ayu would revel in the opportunity to study them up close.
So, here Calot was, attempting to learn how this particular space shuttle worked in order to ensure a safe and entertaining travel for the two of them at some point. It had been a mere few hours, and the hybrid was already millions of miles away from home, allowing the spaceship to collect whatever information it would need in order to take the same exact route once again without any trouble in the future. He assumed that there would be little change from now to the time he and Ayu would be making their trip in the future, and so he wished to allow the shuttle to analyze and retain the pathing he was taking down now.
He expected the ship's jaunt to be over in another few hours, so long as nothing interrupted the current course.
