After the open day, life had settled back down to the routine of prayer, training, eating and tending to the gardens in the walls of the Temple. He had however gained a fair few new recruits for whom the transition was only just beginning, reminding them of the times for meals and such was still an ongoing process. They had seemingly enjoyed their time here, however, today was a day for powerful fighters to come to the Temple, to be enlightened by Patience’s wisdom.
After tending to the small private garden he had beside his room, populated with vines, small fruiting bonsai style trees and a cultivated mossy floor, he came back inside, luckily today had no messages or letters that he needed to attend to, allowing his focus to remain on the task ahead.
He moved to the Temple gates and unlocked them, a great rattling of chain and metal would echo into the quiet courtyard as the gate swung wide, an open invitation for those who wished to attend. He was, however, completely unaware of the troubles that had arisen in Central City, he was lucky that there had been little action in East City let alone his Temple which could spell its doom. While Pat was a capable fighter, he was not strong enough to fight off the super powerful like Super Saiyans. Then again, that was not his duty.
His duty was to teach, and as he intended to do, he moved to the martial arts training area, several mats covered the area allowing plenty of room for even the most exaggerated of movements to be done without fear of hitting another. Behind that area was a sparring ring, a raised platform covered in sand, around which laid several rock gardens, scattered with pebbles and some larger rocks, if you were to fight here, the penalty for a ring-out was painful. Pain can be a wise teacher, and it is best avoided, was the lesson he aimed to teach. The area was empty, to begin with, but with a calamitous gong, the students began to fill the area. Leaving several spaces open for any visitors who wish to join today.
Now all he had to do was be Patient.
