A quick clarification on how the relationship status is being gauged on this plotter. It is similar to some RPGs where you can max out a party character's friendship with them. Low friendship points mean a poor opinion of that character, high friendship points is the opposite situation. But max points do not necessarily mean stuff like romance, it is different for every character, almost as if it branches out in different categories. So a max bar could also just mean Best Friend or Best Rival. Of course relationships can also get worse, not necessarily is the friendship bar set to always raise. For Budding Relations, they are mostly for early or short interactions that could be further expanded. So a character in budding relations can later be moved onto the main area.

Even if war between Vegetans and Tuffles seems to no longer be on the horizon, he still feels very bound to the promise he made to her; that he would protect the Tuffles. Said promise has greatly impacted his life, to the point where he is pretty much Hatchi's shadow as of late, watching over the city and its sector most of the time.
It is unclear if the two share anything beyond friendship.
