CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE: Basil stands at a height of six foot four, and weighs roughly two hundred and forty pounds. He has jet black hair as it tradition among Saiyans, and sports a black beard to go along with it. The only clothes he has to his name are traditional Saiyan military garb.
BACKGROUND: Born during the Saiyan's invasion of Planet Plant, Basil was forced into action from a very young age, though that's not to say he didn't enjoy himself. When it came to fighting Basil was a Saiyan through and through, and took great pride his both his own success and that of his squad. By the time his teenage years came around the fighting intensified, leading to plenty of deaths on both sides.
It took over twenty years, but finally a foothold was achieved on Plant when the Saiyans captured the area which would eventually become known as Sadala, with Basil present on the front lines that day. It was one of the happiest moments of his life, hoisting the Saiyan flag among brothers and sisters as they had found a new home. And what better home was there than one earned in battle?
Basil was not a particularly stand out Saiyan in terms of ranking; he had his fair share of success on the battlefield, but never saw any sort of meaningful career advancement, which made it all the stranger that they chose to take him. In the dead of night Basil found himself overwhelmed by several hands, wrapping themselves around him before digging needles into his skin. When he awoke he found himself in an dimly lit room, strapped to a bed.
What came next was agonizing. For what must have been weeks Basil had all sorts of horrible experiments ran on him, until finally he was able to break free from his restraints and escape during a period where the guards were out of sight. Basil fled to the surface where he had found himself somewhere in the disputed territory between Sadala and Hatchi, but his strength was fading.
As luck would have it a ship was passing nearby, and Basil did his best to flag them down. He was able to successfully grab their attention... though he quickly regretted that. It happened to be slavers that were passing over head, looking for crops of Saiba-men to pick up. Basil brought his hands together and attempted to fire upon his captures... only to find his body completely unable to produce Ki.
The slavers quickly overpowered Basil and forced him into shackles, taking him aboard their vessel before leaving Plant all together. For the next twenty years Basil found himself sold from one owner to another, typically being put to work in mines or the like. Basil would not taste freedom again until being taken to a planet named Banna where a slave uprising took place that Basil was involved in.
After killing their owners the natives of Banna allowed Basil to leave, giving the Saiyan the freedom he had desired for so long. The first thing he did was take hold of one of the owner's pods and head back to Plant, curious to see what state it was now in.
