Hook, Line, and Diono's [Dion]

    For a certain other someone on that same particular day, it was definitely a more lowkey morning than most other mornings for the Diono's restaurant and bar. While they normally had quite large early day rushes as opposed to the few groups that now presided within the comfy confines of the eatery, today happened to be a Monday, and most people on the island had incredibly early starting hours in correlation with work, school, etc, so not many could afford to have a nice, sit down breakfast like the sort of atmosphere Dion tried to promote in terms of early hour service. Which he totally understood, it wasn't much of a big deal anyways. They got enough business basically every other time of the day that one slightly smaller breakfast head count wouldn't affect him in the long run.

    So, Dion, and the rest of his present staff, were able to take it relatively easily once the few lovely ladies and gents inside all got their orders well and good. The servers were allowed to take five behind the building and in the break room provided near the bathrooms in the back, and even the kitchen crew were able to catch a slight breather from the normally heavily demanding work that was put in on a day to day basis. 

    The young man himself currently sat behind his bar counter, head leaning against his left hand as it was propped up against the freshly polished wood by his elbow, glasses gently leaning off of his face as his eyes ran themselves over the main dining area with a satisfied glint in their gaze. A light smile slowly appeared as he saw the kind of happiness and gratification he and his team's work gave birth to- something that the bartender never got tired of seeing. 

    The feeling of giving and making someone else's day just a little bit brighter in some way being something that always ran tried and true with the boy. And this work here was no exception.

    Wanting to go and see if there was any further chores to do in the back, as he did like to make sure everything was up and in proper order- and he wasn't at the moment spectacular at small talk quite yet, despite his ability to open up sociably improving considerably since the entrance of a certain someone back into his life helping to highlight the need for such a shift in personality, so he wasn't at all prepared to try and mingle with the patrons just yet- Dion slowly rose from his lazed position behind the counter to make his way into the back area when all the sudden he could sense a very sizable power signature stop just behind his restaurant's very entrance. 

    It, didn't feel at all malignant though, so he wasn't too worried in the first place, and obviously he had no need to be as the girl who stepped through his front doors didn't seem to be anything to be afraid of. 

    Such a sentiment was not meant in an insulting manner though, in fact, quite the contrary- Dion's eyes remained closely on the, Majin? He believed her race was called, if he could recall correctly in the first place, it's been a while since he's served one of them in a bar or restaurant of his before. She seemed quite, cute, honestly. Not even in a flirtatious manner, necessarily, just, overall very endearing- a pure and comfortable atmosphere all around coming from them as they quietly made their way over to a spot in the corner to sit and wait at. 

    However, it was worth mentioning that, within the purity and wholesomeness that he had sensed, Dion could also feel another substantial quality that he himself was all too familiar with. Her energy, at times, also felt, apprehensive in nature- nervous, unnerved, and every other iteration of the word. Considering his past, what he's been through, and how he's turned out now, this was something Dion was able to sympathize with completely.

    And definitely something that made the young man very much, drawn toward the girl, in a way. Misery did love company, but, in this case, Dion didn't save them a seat at this table. Maybe the two could, connect, over such a mutual feeling? As nervous as he himself was in terms of opening up beyond the small circle of friends that he was close with, his heart did yearn somewhere deep inside for someone who could truly understand him in such a manner. Carro always meant well, and Amara, well, she was Amara- but, neither could really see life from the same, sort of, warped angle that he did these days.

    So, Dion decided to take the initiative, and get out of his comfort zone at least once today with an attempt at making a new friend. Besides, what was the worst that could happen?

    The Saiyan male immediately regretted asking that rhetorical question as further hesitation now grew from it, but nonetheless, Dion powered through it- eventually making his way over to where the young woman around his age now sat in patient wait, gesturing toward the open part of the leathered seat next to her (the wall was where the seats were jutting out from it, all cushioned and upholstered, with the tables following suit, and then stool-like chairs coming right afterward), asking with a friendly that held a slight tinge of nervousness within his tone, "Hey, would you, mind at all if, I kept you company for a little while? I-It's alright if you'd prefer otherwise, I, uh, get that, eheh, early mornings and all that.."

    Slowly, but surely, the young man's nervousness began to melt away within the twos' first few seconds of interaction, his unnerved welcome smile slowly becoming a much more warm, comforting beam as he unhurriedly took a seat next to the Majin after she voiced her verbal permission being given, looking around for a moment before setting his gaze fully on Suri herself. His whole body looked to have dropped the tensed nature that it held when initially approaching the girl, and in all honestly, Dion himself wasn't exactly sure why.

    Though, he wouldn't be surprised if it had to do with the girl sitting in front of him confirming what he had first believed, that they were both people with a bit of an anxiety bias within their respective personalities. And that gave him enough of a reassurance to actually take charge. 

    Looking over at the menu she had taken, the young man leaned in a bit, pointing out a food dishes here and there as he spoke, saying, "Well, as for breakfast dishes, we have a small yet very high quality selection- I'd suggest the True Belgian Waffles with extra syrup honestly, since, er, I have quite the sweet tooth, ehehe."

    Once that was done, Dion would return his attention fully onto Suri herself, head tilting in a friendly manner as he reached out his hand to shake, saying in an unnaturally steady tone, "I, apologize, eheh, feels like I'm getting a bit ahead of myself- I haven't even introduced myself properly yet. The name's Dion Haddock, and it's a pleasure to meet you, miss...?"
