Shakuhachi turned his focus to Cello first. "Yes, it's true I spoke against you and your people, but I was just playing a part. The people are against you. To have the people on my side I must be against you too. However just as they were pushed into opposition to the Mazoku, they too can be pushed in favor of your kind; all they need is the right person to nudge them." Shakuhachi hopped that Cello was now beginning to see the bigger picture; it wasn't about what he or Cello or anybody else thought, it's about getting things done.
"Of course, what you say about your civilization is true. I had no idea how advanced some of your societies are; a bit of a brutish overtone but impressive none the less. I can't say I agree with all of your ideals however. The fascination you seem to have for the one before us for example is a bit concerning." Shakuhachi turned to obviously annoyed Sesame. "I don't consider loyalty to be something that can be purchased. If I pay you, then someone else pays you more, were you ever really loyal to me in the first place? I think not."
Shakuhachi turns back to Cello. "I think something that we can both agree on is that my people have more to lose than yours. That's why it's more difficult for else to make the first step; maybe the step we need to take. You strike me as someone who wants the best for your people, much as I want what's best for mine. Those two ideals may lead us down the same path. I don't believe the future of Namek can be decided without the input of the Mazoku, and for better or worse I believe that the best path for all our kind will include them."
Shakuhachi didn't quite feel comfortably expositing all of this in front of Sesame; after all he just got down gladly offering up his services to a potential enemy. Speaking of Sesame, Shakuhachi turned back to him in regards to the threat he made. "Be careful with what you say; you don't want to make an enemy out of me. I may have been raised a healer but things have changed since then as I'm sure our mutual friend here can assure you. Whatever fascination he had with you I can assure you is his alone."
