Diabolus Est Machina

Deep under the Saiba Wastes, something had awoken. The beast had crawled here after the battle in Hatchi had ended and they found themselves in a foreign place. Burrowing was natural, sleep came quickly after.

It had been a long time since Zoki had awoken, after its battle with the Demon, the Oozaru and finally the Nanomachine-wielding Tuffle. Its mind had been infiltrated, manipulated changed.

They could not tell whether it was because of the battle, the reprogramming or any of the blood that had seeped into their open wounds but Zoki felt powerful, more than it had ever been, and more surprisingly, cognisant.

The constant thrumming call of Hunger within the beast's mind had subsided, it was now a gentle hum, playing on repeat, but it was no longer their foremost thought.

Darkness surrounded the overgrown Tuffle, a cocoon of rock and muck had consumed the bug into the ground. It blinked a few times and innately felt the way to the surface. Scratching with its sharp claws it pulled away at the dense earth and pulled itself free, easier than it had ever been.

Once they had broken the Earth, it was a still day, there was the faint smell of destron, long since cleaned, but the aroma lingered here still, as the monstrosity took in their surroundings, the atmosphere shifted, dark clouds seemed to form instantaneously overhead. Rumblings of stone shifted through the ground beneath the monstrosity held tight, great and powerful towers shot from their subterranean resting places, igniting the night sky with an evil energy.

The new programming that rattled around his mind screamed this was a threat to Plant, and as the final, largest tower rose, he sensed a familiar energy... That Tuffle that had bested him, and dumped his body in the wastes. Zoki would have spat if not for its immense thirst...

Zoki raced towards the tower already raring for battle with the master of these creations, the words in his mind demanded he strike down the threat, and a faint voice of Dr. Pafle begged him not to attack a tuffle but it was too late, the side of the tower was smooth and hard to grab onto, but his powerful claws could embed themselves into the material and pull him upwards, at first methodically and cautiously, but soon the flow of movement had been restored to the aching limbs and drove them up to Yatapi.

"Defend Plant..." he hissed, preparing for whatever this man had to bear against the planet.
