When most of the dust had settled, Maxsuz was still floating high in the air, breathing heavily from the amount of effort he put into that single blast. He scouted for any signs of life behind. All he could see was a colossal crater below him, even though he fired the technique in the air.
However, it did not take long for him to realize what seemed impossible: Cabasa was still alive. She had used a barrier to stop her body form being disintegrated as whole, and despite the horrific wounds all around her body, the corrupted namekuseijin was still standing. The Argin was in complete disbelief at that display of tenacity. His plan to completely eradicate Cabasa from the planet had failed, and he was too exhausted at that moment to capitalize on her weakened state.
She soon began regenerating, like he did before her, and told him it was time to educate him. In a blink of an eye, she appeared above the almost paralyzed Argin and rained fire on his body. He felt every bit of his flesh burning at once, sending him straight to the ground, where the dirt covering managed to kill the flames.
Otama's regeneration was beginning to fail him, only being able to heal the more crucial wounds, but leaving plenty of scars, cuts and bruises in the process. The Hyera slowly stood back up and levitated away from the crater he had fallen into. Dust had started falling from his body, as when a himônus is nearing death, his body begins turning to ashes.
The tone of the battle had shifted. The warrior remained staring at Cabasa for multiple seconds, without moving or uttering a single world. During that time, only the violents winds of the battlefield could be heard. Eventually he broke the silence with a subtle smirk, followed by two words in an amicable intonation.
"Well done..."
Deep inside, he was bursting with satisfaction of facing such a dangerous and resourceful opponent. This was the precise reason he had come to the Mazoku in search for power. They knew the best way to achieve ultimate strength was through sheer brutality. Cabasa may not know it yet, but she was rapidly growing on the himônus, because they both understood the delight of violence.
