Break Out (Open)

Prophos pinched the bridge of his nose. Of course there were more people out there just asking for trouble. “Well, good that they got driven away. It’s one thing to be belligerent, but to accost a holy ground such as that? Hmph! Unthinkable.” Understandably, this was a very standard sort of opinion in general Shinjin society since they were born of sacred origin. “Such disrespect to a vibrant culture too. To think what we would be missing without it...” However, what was not so standard from Prophos was what seemed to take pride in the faith of mortals within their own culture. Where many Shinjin may for whatever reason— intentionally or not— see it as beneath them, Prophos thought differently.

It seemed as though Gandigan needed a bit to remember what this Usumidori looked like; and it was ultimately a year ago that he last saw them. Thinking about it, Prophos had met someone with that description more or less— tall, long white hair, green eyes, a turquoise-green cloak and two swords, one black and red, one white and blue. “I think I may have encountered them, it was on Earth. They seemed confused and lost, if not slightly on edge rather than menacing. They went by a different name too; Tsuya.” Prophos retrieved another snake soul as he considered what could be going on with this individual. “It seems we have two different pieces of a larger puzzle here.”

Gandigan suggested that Prophos dissuade Nervan from going to Namek, the Shinjin let out a quick and somewhat exasperated sigh. “Even having briefly met them, I’m sure you know them to be quite strange. I’ll see what I can do, but I can’t say I’ll be guaranteed to convince them not to go. If anything, our entire group might go instead for the sake of safety.”

As for being able to travel between dimensions, Prophos nodded. “That is correct. We can reach the Otherworld from any location in the mortal realm, and the inverse is also true.” He explained, retrieving yet another snake soul. “I do think it might be best for our entire group to go there and investigate. There are four of us, and we can cover quite a lot of ground. Is there anyone or anything you’re particularly concerned about the safety of?”

Lucky? Hm. Maybe, Prophos didn’t necessarily agree but he understood how certain things may seem to others. Other than seeing Tsuya on Earth only one time, Prophos would have little to go off of as to where the strange woman may be right now. The Shinjin shrugged apologetically.

Prophos didn’t think that the Horsemen and Tsuya were connected, the former was certainly an ill omen, and Gandigan was convinced that the latter could be as well so Prophos took that into consideration. “Only thing to really do about any of this at present is research, I suppose..”

The Shinjin gave a short nod at Gandigan’s request. “Sure, I’ll see what I can do. I’m not entirely sure of what I may find, but if I find anything noteworthy I’ll try and seek you out in this realm.” Unfortunately the conversation was going to be cut short.

That platoon of Ogres from earlier were back on Gandigan’s trail now, and conveniently, Prophos was obscured from their view by the nearby outpost structure. Well placed faith in the universe from the Shinjin, as usual. “Good luck!” With that, Prophos also used his Kai Kai ability to relocate himself to somewhere else away from the scene for the moment just until the Ogres were gone since he still had a job to do with recollecting the lost serpentine souls.
