Perhaps it was a bit disappointing for Gandigan, but Prophos’ immediate knowledge was likely quite limited compared to someone more directly involved. As the Namekian mulled over it all, he had a realization! “Oh?” Prophos listened patiently, allowing Gandigan to properly assess his own thoughts in full.
An Oni by the name of Usumidori had interacted with Gandigan a long time ago; and they had apparently sought similar artefacts to what Prophos and Gandigan were first discussing. “Hmm. Well, when I think about it...” The Shinjin thought back to what he knew, and recalled that there was something related to granting wishes sprinkled in there somewhere. “I do remember wishes were mentioned. Granting any wish, though? Good grief, what a dangerous prospect in the wrong hands.” While cautious, Prophos was in some sense impressed. “For a supposedly mortal creation though, very impressive artefacts for sure.” Now Prophos would have to investigate further himself— he was already fond of magical items so this was right in his wheelhouse to check out.
If these artefacts were indeed real, and their power was as Gandigan said, it stood to reason that any impact they made would be very well known, but not very many seemed to talk about them. Perhaps their use was incredibly sparse? Maybe they were difficult to use? Could there be some other unique rule to them? There could be so many possibilities! “Definitely something to look into when given the chance, I think.”
The Four Horsemen potentially having more allies was a worrying prospect too. Perhaps this Usumidori was another individual to look out for. “The Oni you mentioned, what do you recall of them? Would you say they are someone to watch out for as well?”
Regarding Nervan, Prophos gave a hearty laugh. “Indeed, Nervan and I are good friends, in fact.” The scenario of Nervan running into Gandigan rang a bell, Prophos remembered that Nervan wanted to investigate a strange world a while ago, though upon their return, Nervan didn’t really talk too much about it, if at all. “They didn’t say much on that venture, they seemed quite... Sad afterward, actually. I chose not to pry. I’m sure they’ll be more willing to share now though. Our group is currently mostly busy on Earth, though Nervan did express interest in visiting Namek again soon. I suppose meeting you must be why.” If a violent madman had his sights on the planet, now there was all the more reason to go there sooner rather than later.
