Getaway (Maple)

Maple disregarded any of Sen's comments and taunts, focusing instead on ensuring her bots could unleash as much damage as possible. Molassus would only need a bit more to charge up to his maximum output, meaning Syrup and Sappy needed to keep up the pressure. No, they needed to up the ante even more and prove they weren't merely toys to be played with!

"Sappy, Syrup, engage secondary fire!" Maple would call out, causing both bots to open a compartment on the underside of their chassis, revealing an additional laser gattling turret.

With the addition of the laser gattling, their damage output against Sen would increase; meanwhile, Molassus was just about finished with his charge. The ominous green glow began to flood the store while a strong wind spiraled around the bot, shaking and toppling over more distant shelves. The body of the unconscious shop owner would unwittingly get picked up by the harsh wind and thrown to the front of the store, slamming against the glass door.


"Uggghhh, whaaa-?" The clerk would moan and groan as he sluggishly awoke from the impact, "M-m-m-m-m-my s-store!?" He'd cry, witnessing the wreck the store was turning into before his gaze would lock onto the continuous, concentrated blaster fire that pelted Sen fruitlessly. With nary another word, the clerk would stumble out the door he leaned against, with his panicked cries being the last sounds he made as he fled the scene.

"Confirming target acquisition-"

Molassus' charge had reached its peak, and as if on cue the two hoverbots would suddenly cease their suppressive fire before rushing to Molassus' side. The two would retract their laser gattlings, closing the hatch beneath their chassis before a low hum would begin to emit from the two. Just as Molassus, Sappy and Syrup's energy cores would begin to glow brightly; while Molassus own energy core would begin to spark with a green electricity.

"Hahaha! You'll regret letting THIS hit you!" Maple would exclaim excitedly, striking a pose and throwing out her arm to point at Sen, "Go gang, triple attack!!!"

The blue winged Syrup would be the first to rush out, his body glowing as his energy output exceeded controlled limitations. The energy around him became dense enough to begin disintegrating the floor as it rushed towards Sen, the air screeching as Syrup cut through it. Syrup's aim was Sen's abdomen, and its trajectory and speed suggested it had no intention of stopping or detouring, it aimed to punch right thought Sen if possible, with Sappy following close behind.

Sappy's form glowed in a similar manner, but unlike Syrup, his body wasn't cloaked in a dense, sharped energy. Rather, Sappy seemed to be drawing in and concentrating its energy into a singular point within its body. As Syrup's pace quickened, Sappy would steadily begin to fall behind; regardless of Syrup's success, Sappy would follow up by rushing in from below, before unleashing the accumulated energy in the form of a controlled explosion. While Syrup sought to go straight through Sen, Sappy sought to simply overwhelm Sen with an overflowing amount of energy, energy that would grow further if engaged by an opposing force!

Then there was the climax, Molassus' energy was well beyond the maximum safety protocols of the unit. Sen was its only acquired target, but the bot made certain to designate Maple, Sappy, and Syrup as targets to avoid. While this attack would normally be fired into the air, the small space of the store made that difficult; with that in mind, Molassus would fire the starshatter shot directly before him. For only a brief second the shot would linger in front of him like a massive orb of energy, but without warning the shot would explode, firing off energy in all directions, absolutely decimating the store and everything within while the man portion of energy from the attack shot forward, screaming past Sappy and Syrup where ever they may have been after their attacks, and focusing on Sen.

Short of breath from her own excitement, her adrenaline rushing as she watched the explosive display of her bots, Maple was woefully unprepared for what would be next to come. A small static barrier would keep her safe from the falling debris of the shop; once things seemed safe enough, the barrier would drop and Maple's eyes would twitch as she scanned the smog of dust in search of Sen. Sappy would hobble back, now in an extreme low power mode after his controlled explosion, with Syrup following suit, assisting his sibling as best as he could as the two made their way back to Maple.

Then, a glint in the fog of dust as things began to clear up...

Though she'd been excited, Maple knew something hadn't been quite right. It was purely a gut feeling, but she could swear that Molassus' attack hadn't had the expected impact against Sen. It was as though Sen had been replaced with a wall that stood firm against the attack. While it wasn't an exact comparison, the clearing dust would quickly prove Maple's assessment wasn't too far off.

"M-Molassus, def-!"

It was too late, or rather, the attempt itself would prove fruitless.
As adept and fine tuned as Molassus was, the bot had already begun taking on a defensive stance the moment the first letter was spoken from Maple's mouth. Sen's shot was fired, and the little bot Molassus was completely overwhelmed by the sheer speed and force of the snipers attack. Neither Sappy, Syrup, nor Maple could even flinch before Molassus was blown to pieces right before Maples eyes. For a moment after the shot, there was silence; for Maple, the world seemed to flow is slow motion as she watched her beloved bot fall to pieces. Tears welled up in her eyes immediately as she watched the head of the bot fall to the ground.

"NOOOOOOOOO!!" Maple would cry, rushing forward to her bot as tears rolled down her cheeks, "M-Molassus! Molassus please!!" She picked up the bots head, the glow of his eyes flickering out before fading immediately as his power core failed.

Syrup and Sappy were quick to place themselves by Maple's sides, slightly ahead of her to stay between her and the now perceived threat, Sen. Other than Molassus head, no other piece of him remained intact enough to be considered salvageable. What wasn't shattered had been disintegrated by the sheer force of the impact; the fact the that head remained was a pure miracle, if not a calculated outcome of Sen's own doing.

"You..." Maple's eyes would glance up towards Sen; her brow furrowed with a clear expression of hate as the tears refused to stop, "You win... I won't look for the Super Saiyan..." She'd stand back up, clutching Molassus' head in her arm tightly as she tried to rub the tears from her eyes, "At least, not until I'm through with YOU!" She'd shout, causing both Sappy and Syrup would to react on cue; rather than attack however, the two would transform into their jet boot forms around Maple's legs before quickly zipping her into the air, "Mark my words, I'll make you pay Sen, even if it's the last thing I ever do!" Maple would scream, her last departing words before her jet bot bots would force her to flee the scene.
