NAME: Syrup
ALIASES: Hover Type - B.B. Syrup, Blueberry Syrup, BBS, Robo-Blue!
AGE: MEANINGLESS, but has 8 years of activity since being built.
GENDER: Robot~
COMPANION TYPE: Minion
SPECIES: Android || Overdrive, Locked and Loaded, Absorber Module
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE: A smooth, mostly white robot built around the specific function of hover transportation. Blue painted design helps to make the bot distinct from its sibling bot. While large when held in the arms of its creator, the robot is only 28cm in length!
PERSONALITY: None, they're a robot with no emotions of their own! However, that hasn't stopped Maple from personifying them; as far as Maple is concerned, Syrup is the scaredy-cat of the group. Likely the cause of an overly effective self-preservation chip, Syrup has always been the type to remain far from danger unless ordered to participate. Be it whenever Maple has been performing experiments, or even when the unit has found itself in an active warzone, if there isn't a need to participate then the bot can often be seen either at the maximum allowed distance from Maple, or tucked away in what it might believe is the safest place like under a desk.
BACKGROUND: Syrup is the second of the original pair of bots created by Maple when she was only 5 years old. Syrup is one of Maples very best friends and despite its seemingly cowardly nature, has been just as reliable a bot as Sappy, and has remained by Maple's side for 8 years. Just as Sappy, the first many years since syrups creation had been uneventful, with the bot not doing much more than following Maple wherever she went. During the Saiyan invasion of Hatchi city however, the bot had found itself knocked out of the air and accidentally trampled during a sudden evacuation. Believing the bot to have malfunctioned, Maple saw fit to increase the bots awareness of its surroundings, as well as to re-code it ability to discern dangers so as to not be placed in such a situation again.
Much like Sappy, the years following the first Saiyan invasion had the bot experience several upgrades to improve its combat effectiveness. While its primary function is still that of a Hover bot, the same transformative upgrades as Sappy saw it capable of taking on a form more useful to Maple should she find herself in peril. It was during the Super Saiyan attack that Maple began to see traits of a personality in Syrup; as the bot witness the mass destruction and panic, as well as Sappy's sacrifice in protecting Maple, its internal processor began to be overwhelmed by the code that enabled it to better discern dangers.
In what could only be described as a sudden panic, once Maple and Molassus had retrieved Sappy from beneath the rubble that had crushed it, Syrup would transform of its own accord into its hover boot mode, and attempt to forcibly eject Maple from the area in a hasty escape. Despite several attempts to fix the code of the bot since then, the traits Maple witnessed that day seem to remain. While not as "brave" as its sibling bot Sappy, Syrup still at least exhibits qualities of a protective nature over Maple, even if it does so in a different way by removing her from danger rather than actively fighting by her side.
Now, the bot continues to stay by Maple's side as she takes to traveling the cosmos-
