Donût didn't say anything in response to Sen's angry reply to the, in his mind, very sensible option of seeing if the door was stronger than the wall it was built into. Sure, doing so would damage the wall... but were starving to death, dying of thirst, or dying of oxygen deprivation all really preferable to not breaking some alien bunker a little bit?
Not that it really mattered, the door just sort of opened for Sen. And he was taking point, making sure to shove Donût, aka Mister Steel, behind him for the walk down a corridor full of doors.
"Hey man, if ya wanna get bailed out'f another booby trap, that's fine by me."
Donût shrugged and fell into step behind Sen, keeping about five or six paces behind him. That left enough space for Donût to dodge any booby traps, AND left him close enough to grab or get in the way of a booby trap that might have proved too much for Sen. Donût figured that Sen was about as strong as him, if not a little stronger... but he also guessed Sen didn't have anything like his own body-hardening techniques.
When asked not to touch anything, Donût just showed his empty hands, before putting said hands in the pockets of his jeans. Then he looked around, scanning for any possible threats in the lab. There were a handful of beakers full of some substances on the table... Donût found that just a little odd. This bunker was abandoned, supposedly, but the beakers hadn't dried out or gotten too strange over time. Unless the stuff inside HAD rotted or changed and the goo and liquid inside was some sort of degraded version of whatever the scientist that used this lab was using.
That did raise a question, why were these beakers of elements and chemicals just out in the open? Were they relatively safe to fiddle with? Or did the scientist, or scientists, that had worked in the lab not cared about safety precautions? What was the point of that specific room? What was studied? Where was the more advanced machinery? A lot of what was in the room looked near-identical to some food company's R&D lab that Donût had gotten to see while HumDee and DumDee had negotiated for some "Mister Steel" themed breakfast cereals.
When Sen pressed the button for the holoprojector, Donût tensed up and looked pointedly at the box. There was just a hologram of some very, VERY short guy giving a message directed to Sen. Donût looked away, but he didn't relax. Instead, he ran his eyes over the lab and looked at all the nooks and crannies... waiting for a trap or some secret box or substance or who-knew-what to pop out of a wall. He was focused, and he was quiet, letting the message continue un-interrupted.
