Nero observed what was going on before him, Gira managed to bring out something other than vitriol from Cabasa, or at least subdued it enough. That in itself was a pretty good sign, Nero was well versed in picking up on lies and trickery and this seemed at least somewhat legit.
Cabasa reacted to Nero’s seriousness more or less how he had expected— with some defiance. The Guru didn’t view this affliction upon her in the way that she put it, a ‘mild disease’, he was taking this quite seriously after all. While he didn’t view Cabasa in a positive light, he did not believe that she was inherently awful; or he wouldn’t until he was certain that she chose who she was for herself without this curse of hers.
His holy powers rushed forth and struck the Namekian, causing a reaction from the frothing tar of negative energy— it violently showed itself in a somewhat spore-like form, pulled far enough out of Cabasa that her eyes were no longer clouded with its malice, showing the truth of purple eyes beneath it all. In this moment, Nero could see the differentiation between Cabasa and the negative energy curse. He heard the entity speak, yet his expression did not falter. Using this fleeting moment where the Namekian and the curse were as separated as they could be with his intervention, Nero focused more on the Namekian herself, and tried his best to impart some small blessing before the negative energy returned into her body, to what it saw as safety... It was afraid of him, not her— that would explain the aversion to his presence!
With the Namekian now unconscious and shrivelled on the ground, Nero took a moment to think about the situation. If the representation of the negative energy was to be believed, it sounded as though Cabasa was being punished for the acts of others, and it was embedded pretty deeply, all things considered. It had indeed won, for now at least, but Nero now knew the true enemy.
Using telekinesis, Nero moved Cabasa back over to the castle grounds as he messaged Gandigan and Marimba telepathically since they were probably the most likely to still be nearby. ’Hey guys, the fight that broke off earlier is over, they kinda whalloped each other, but they all lived. I even healed their more dire wounds because it was a battle fought on their terms as warriors, so I chose to respect that. Anyway, if I had to guess, all three of them have some sort of budding rivalry. That other Saiyan, Zuci, she seems to have more of a beef with Gira now, so we needn’t worry about her causing us problems, I’m sure Gira will handle them herself on Earth.’ As for Cabasa, it was a bit more complicated. ’There is something else as well, it involves Cabasa. I have now learned that she is cursed with a negative energy plague of some sort, and I’m not entirely sure of its origins. This explains her excessively violent demeanour as well as her behaviour towards me specifically given my connection to positive energy. Ultimately, I find it to be like the situations with Phakk, Kamae, Shroom, or Amon, it is not something I can allow to continue. I will figure something out to remedy this in time.’
With that, he left Cabasa near the main building and went on his own way— though not before sending a few more messages. This time, he contacted his family and close friends to give a quick rundown of events as well as a warning about Cabasa and her condition as someone that is cursed. It was for Nero’s loved ones to understand what was wrong with her but to also use their own judgement if she started shit with them.
For now, it was back to regular business for the Guru of Namek until the next big event...
Using Grand Truth, Nero attempts to combine Spirit Binding with Paragon Aura, and preserve some part of Cabasa’s positive traits or ‘good’ within a protective barrier in her soul. The extent of which this works (if at all) is of course up to Cabasa’s player!
