Majin Halluc smiles at Xiaolan's quip - but he wasn't about to start letting them get ahead again in this fight. Not now that he had a strong - very strong - idea of how powerful they truly were. If nothing else, there had been a slight shift in the mood of the fight - the fox person seemed to now be somewhat enjoying themselves. Was that the case, after they had so angrily led Halluc up into the air here like this?

When Xiaolan rushed towards Halluc, the Majin was ready - he allowed the first blow to land, spinning him head over heels for a moment before Xiaolan's second strike came lancing towards him! He suddenly would stop, facing Xiaolan, and weave his body out of the path of the second attempted blow! Majin Halluc grins and flies backwards suddenly, putting distance between himself and Xiaolan. He looks at Xiaolan, considering his potential options. After a moment, he smiles.

He raises a gloved hand, and makes a gesture that invites Xiaolan to come at him again.

"Xiaolan hit hard once... Can't do it again." Majin Halluc teases. "Halluc bets that Xiaolan has nothing left... in that case, Xiaolan will make for good eating. Evil in soul will be feast."

Halluc's head tentacle flips forward.

"Mmm, yes - Halluc makes you chocolate!" Halluc's head tentacle flashes, and a jagged line of pink magic zips through the air towards Xiaolan!

Halluc endures and evades the Non-KP melee! He retaliates with Utility Technique || Transfiguration Beam
Majin Halluc is able to transform objects with magic cast from his head tentacle!

Halluc attempts to turn Xiaolan into a chocolate bar!!! (Does no damage, and is up to Xiaolan whether or not it is successful.)

Xiaolan's first blow proved to be successful, flipping Halluc around like a pancake! The fox wasn't allowed to grow too conceited, however, for the side of his paw met empty air as the Majin expertly dodged out of the way. Much to Xiaolan's surprise, Halluc chose to opt for a strategic retreat instead of capitalizing on that blunder for a fierce counterattack.

The kitsune straightened his conical hat and faced his foe once more, baring both his open palms with their claws protracted and poised to strike. "Hah! Attacks like these? I can make ten more of those before tiring!" This was obviously a lie with how bloodied the arm that shot the finger beam was, but Xiaolan knew better than to show despair. If he wanted to get out of this alive, he needed to chase away the doubts in his mind and focus on the weak points that his adversary displayed instead of charging headlong at the first goad received.

"Dammit..." Xiaolan whispered between bleeding gums, unable to find any flaws to the Majin's technique or body; his opponent was a sturdy, seemingly-unkillable fighter whose simple but overwhelming attacks proved very efficient against the fox's "death by a thousand cuts" style.

Suddenly, Majin Halluc extended his head tentacle, shooting a snaggy thread of pink magic that hit the fox right in the palm he lifted to counteract the blast with a mighty kiai! This would have normally worked in Xiaolan's favor against regular ki blasts, but the magical nature of the attack made the fox's defense inefficient against Halluc's candy beam. With a blood curdling cry of agony, the fox's body began to contort and collapse on itself, slowly but surely shrinking in size and changing on a molecular basis to assume the chemical composition of chocolate, leaving in his stead a small finger-sized choccy fox donning a very familiar hat.

Was this the end for Xiaolan? Apparently not! The piece of chocolate began to wriggle, bouncing and thrashing in place until a pair of arms and legs made from sugary cacao sprouted out from the living treat's outlines. "I am Xiaolan, little choccy foxy, and I bring doom!" The miniature brown vulpine declared with an adorable squeaky voice, pointing an index at Halluc before beckoning him with it.

Majin Halluc stares - absolutely perplexed and vexed by what he was seeing, and by the tiny voice he'd heard come from the fox... candy bar.

"...Again..?" he inquires aloud. Though Xiaolan would never know it - this exact situation had happened once before. A demon called Meara had come into conflict with Halluc very soon after he awoke on Konats. That magic user too was able to take back control of themselves despite being made into a treat. Halluc had even successfully eaten them, only to have them give him indigestion and have to spit them out because of the magic they were using inside him.

Well, if this was going to happen again... Majin Halluc's head tentacle flips forward again, and zaps a ragged line of magic at Xiaolan - which would return them to normal! Halluc would tilt his head side to side, clearly deep in thought.

"Happened twice... magic incomplete? Maybe Halluc still not recovered?" he muses to himself. "Magic weak against this galaxy's strong? More likely... hmmm..."

Halluc continued to muse, as if he had forgotten Xiaolan was still not far away! After a few moments, he seems to return from distant thoughts, and gazes at Xiaolan.

"Halluc confused... but not done." he says. Halluc's hands clench into fists, and the pink bolts of electricity once again begin to dance along his form. Equally pink steam erupts from Hallu's arms and head - he was building up his power once again! "Halluc finish this... now! Make bad fox go away!"

Halluc turns Xiaolan back to normal with UT: Transfiguration Beam!

As Halluc pondered the byzantine meaning behind Xiaolan's current appearance, the choccy fox only capered about like a little trickster. He did an athletic front-flip ending in a split before flexing his cocoa biceps to give them a little kiss. "What is taking you so long, Halluc? Fox got your tongue~?" Sadly for the cheeky yokai, his pleasure was brought to a premature end with another beam of magic that landed squarely. The piece of chocolate that Xiaolan was began to twitch violently and levitate. Then, in the blink of an eye, the fox returned to his normal dimensions and chemical composition with a little *pop* echoing out.

"UH?!?!" Flat-footed and lying on his arse, the fox stared at his paws, flipping them over and doing a little grasping motion with his fingers to test his motor skills. Satisfied, he gekkered with joy. "I am back to normal!" He stood up with an explosive kip-up, firmly planting his digitigrade soles in the ground fissuring under his strength while presenting his open palm to Halluc, keeping the other arm folded behind his back, as per usual.

"Well, I don't know if that magic of yours got defects, but I sure didn't enjoy being turned into a candy against my will! That is a very, very severe offense, you know~?" Yes, Halluc was right; it was time to finish this fight. Not wanting to go out without a bang, Xiaolan synched himself with his opponent and began to channel energy until his every fibers oozed jade sparks that whipped the ground surrounding his feet with a sharp crackling. "GIVE ME YOUR BEST, MAJIN MAN! WHAT WILL IT BE THIS TIME? ANOTHER BIG ORANGE BLAST? HAH! VERY BORING~" With this quick quip, Xiaolan hoped to nudge Halluc outside of his bread and butter and see if he had some kind of hidden ace to offer for the grand finale of their match.

At Xiaolan's taunt, Halluc smiles. So, they were expecting the same trick again? Not this time, at least.

"No that, no. Bigger." Halluc says. Halluc suddenly doubles over, curling his arms and legs inward, growling as the electricity dancing along his frame further intensifies. The very air begins to tingle, and flecks of pink jolts can be briefly seen even as far as where Xiaolan was floating. Below, confused voices could just barely be heard as the ground beneath the two warriors hanging in the air also begins to vibrate. "Halluc have one more. This one big."

Majin Halluc's eyes snap wide, and his lips pull back in a snarling expression as the bolts of lightning now streak away from Halluc! The Majin suddenly and violently jerks, spreading his arms and legs wide as he throws his head back in an ear pounding scream! In an instant, Halluc is enveloped by a sphere of pink energy - energy that expands rapidly! The size of the blast as it grows at an insane rate causes the air to rush away from it, and lights within the buildings far below flicker as the ground all but becomes a quake.

The Majin himself vanishes in the light, far too bright to have a hope of seeing the Majin being torn to pieces by his own attack! The blast of energy surges in all directions, threatening to swallow Xiaolan in its light!

Xiaolan grinned even wider than Halluc; the Majin took the bait.

First, his opponent obstructed their own vision by curling up, gathering a cataclysmic amount of energy that rippled outward, sending threads of electricity that slightly singed Xiaolan's fur despite the fair distance separating them. "Impressive..." The yokai martial artist whispered to himself, allowing his arms to drop down to his nether where they billowed like fabric on a clothesline disturbed by violent winds.

Finally, they allowed the heat of battle-induced passion to cloud their judgment, releasing the accumulation of energy in a roaring screech. The attack was devasting, yes, but greatly unfocused. Xiaolan capitalized on that, dispersing the life-threatening energy embracing his figure by using his quintessential mitigation technique: The Whistling Willow. Just like the water that is open to change by ebbing and flowing, Xiaolan stood on the tip of a single toe and spun rapidly, clawed digits drawing undulating streaks of howling ki in the air. The impetus of his pirouette caused these lines of translucent energy to conglomerate around his vulpine body like a miniature cyclone, effectively wreathing his figure in a protective cocoon.

Alas, his last resort defense was a spectacle to be witnessed by no one, for the explosion was as blinding as it was destructive. Xiaolan was blown away like a skipping stone, his figure only coming to a halt due to a violent collision between his back and the ground. The fox reeled and coughed violently, grabbing his stomach that throbbed painfully. The pain shot across his body that writhed with violent jerks. He stared at his toes; when did they get bloodsoaked?

This mattered little right now! Xiaolan was given the perfect opportunity to run for his life by this attack who swallowed the whole area in a blinding light. The vulpine hitman fought through his blurred vision and the ringing noise pounding away at his ear drums, bringing the shaky tip of his indexes and middle fingers to his temples. The fox began to channel energy to his headwear, combining the radiance of his own ki and the sun overhead that made the decorative lines across his conical hat glow. Then, he unleashed it all with a mighty kiai, meeting the Majin who was still probably regenerating from his own attack with an impromptu flashbang of concentrated incandescence.

The attack was harmless, but it would surely make it hard for the Majin to keep track of this slippery eel of an opponent who already was dashing away.

If Xiaolan got out of this alive, it wouldn't be scot-free; a trip to the hospital was in order.

Note: Xiaolan uses a momentum power boost on his Escape technique!

Way of the Void: Whistling Willow = 20% - 2 KP - Shield = 24,342 vs 172,952 = 148,610 that is further reduced by 30% since Xiaolan is within 60% (82%, rounded up from 81,89%) of the attack's remaining power.

148,610 x 0.3 = 44,583 = 104,027 vs 121,710 = 86% (rounded up from 85.47%) damage taken by Xiaolan!

Way of the Void: Shiny Cool Hat = 90% (MP Power Boost) - 0 KP (Antisense Freebie) - Escape = 109,539 needs to be beaten to prevent Xiaolan from escaping the thead.

Halluc couldn't appreciate the power of his attack - which made sense, when one considers that to do it, the blast rips the Majin into a thousand shreds in the process. When the dome of light fades, he also is unable to appreciate Xiaolan's efforts to disappear from the area. The thousands of grey shreds remain floating in the air, and soon begin flying together, gathering at a single point.

The writhing mass soon takes shape, and Halluc opens his eyes. When he looks around, there is no sign of the fox person that had angrily demanded Halluc follow them up into the sky for this fight. Halluc's head tentacle flips forward, sniffing the air - but the scent is gone. Halluc flips the tentacle back, and gazes around - he couldn't tell if Xiaolan had escaped, or if the blast had been powerful enough to have destroyed them.

He would prefer the former over the latter, but there was nothing more he could do about it either way.

"Strong... there are others... Halluc needs to grow..." he says, looking down at the city below. There were so many evil souls in this galaxy, and eventually, they would all feed Halluc, and fuel his growing power. But that would come another day. For now, Majin Halluc flies off into the skies...
