Sprite’s space pod burned through the night sky from above as it cut through the air, some of the wildlife looked up through the down pouring rain at the falling star and wondered what such a bright light could be. Then the pod crashed hard into the planet leaving behind a smoldering trail of destruction from where it made first contact to where it finally slowed to a stop. Some of the animals gathered around the pod to investigate, but soon enough felt the energy emanating from within and ran for their lives. Sprite kicked the door of the pod off of its hinges and crawled out of the pod like a giant spider stretching its overly long limbs for the first time in days.
“Zaaaaaaaa! What a trip ya. Me no bleed no more ya? No! Ya! Now… business.”
Sprite yawned and stretched his long blue arms into the air.
All around him was a village of ruins. He reached into one of his ceremonial pouches and began to sprinkle the air with an herbal dust. He did this over and over and watched the clouds of dust as they fell and dissipated, as if he was looking for a sign. As he tossed the very last of his power into the air a large drop of rain crashed into his eye.
“That is it! The sign! Zaaaaaa!! Big Chief knows it right now. Tribe has new home.”
Sprite ducked into his pod and began to rummage about as he spoke to himself.
Objects were flung from the pod as he searched wildly for something. Then he pulled out a small computer device that fit well within his large hand. A few presses and slides of the digital screen and then Da Big Chief tossed the computer aside just like all the other stuff. On the screen it read “Message Sent.”
“Zaa, zaa, zaa. Now brothers come, make new home. Sin’Lair will claim this land, make new. Da Chief said he will provide, and look what a Big Chief do? Zaaaa, zaaaa, zaaaa!”
Sprite banged the back of his head as he removed himself from the pod, but did not react much to it.
“Plenty land. New home, new life, no more struggles, we take and we make! Sin’Lair! Zaaa, zaaa, zaaa!”
Sprite spoke further to himself.
Sprite walked over to one of the abandoned buildings and held up his open palm to its fallen straw roofing. A small blast of ki materialized in the air and flew from his hand to the building to set it ablaze. Soon enough the entire hut was on fire and served as a giant beacon for Sprite’s tribe to find him.
Sprite then began to dance around the burning flame that was growing by the moment, soon taking over the next building as he hummed and strafed side to side. Sprite pounded on his chest and stomped the floor in between his ritual and with each pound and stomp his skin grew more red. His eyes turned black and yellow and his long orange hair grew even more wild and lost all its color, leaving it a striking white and gray. Sprite stood multiple feet taller than he did before, a true hulk. He continued to beat his chest, sway and cartwheel around the fire, singing his tribal songs in wait for his family so that he may provide for them as promised.
