CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE: Sentia is typical of most humanoids and Kai, her skin is even a simple pale that resembles that of Earthlings rather than the more colourful complexions of her people. Her hair is a vibrant pink that sticks out much like her height, clocking in at 6'1" making her quite lanky. Her frame is thin and unassuming, showing the cushy life she's lived as most other Shinjin have. Her appearance allows her to easily blend in with other mortals. She can be seen in a variety of outfits, specifically avoiding more traditional Kai-like clothing due to finding it.. stuffy and not trendy!
BACKGROUND: As with most Shinjin, Sentia's story begins with a fruit. Not a particularly special one either. However, despite her humble beginnings, she was considered highly talented among her brethren when it came to combat prowess. As observers and mediators mostly, this prowess didn't particularly get her anywhere at first but it garnered her respect amongst her peers. Her personality was lackadaisical, though not out of actual lack of energy or enthusiasm but more not wanting to put in effort she deemed excessive. She enjoyed her simple and comfy life in Otherworld, never bothering to learn more than she had to about the mortal realm or the galaxy.
A higher-ranking Shinjin took note of her ability to assert her talent when needed and found her innate ability with mystical arts to be impressive, taking her under their wing. An apprentice, she did her best to live up to expectations. She had a lot of knowledge, but to her mentor... absolutely no wisdom. She was lacking in proper experience and beyond that, a wealth of lived history to draw from. She enjoyed watching mortals, but never particularly cared to get involved. This was as she had been taught, but her teacher felt it had hampered her ability to empathise and have proper judgement. If anything were to befall the mortal worlds, she would probably shrug it off and leave it to someone else. Her skills in battle, natural affinity to magic and disarming personality made her a model Kai... and yet she was never given any ranks of note or entrusted with anything by her peers, superiors or even juniors. In fact, many would consider her antisocial and awkward. It was hard to connect to her due to her latent potential and almost fake personality, a sickly sweet smile that was completely hollow. She would much rather spend time by herself, practicing or learning.
Deciding to right this, her mentor thought long and hard on what type of journey to send her on. But it fell perfectly into her lap. Here was a Shinjin who took to combat like a duck to water, who thrived in analysing and thwarting her opponents. Compared to an average person, she was a genius. Yet lacking understanding and tenure. Instead of viewing mortals as one should, she saw them like pets or inferiors. Not maliciously, but she had never even met one or understood why she had to care about them. Hopefully, by mingling with them, she would not only become more outgoing and relatable but come to understand the duty of her people which might finally set her on a track of becoming a Shinjin of note.
Fortunately, her mentor didn't need to try too hard. Given the simple task of mingling with mortals, she left Otherworld in search of meaning and experience only to bump into exactly what she needed. A mortal upon death's door. One who had been slugging it out with many opponents in her time dutifully watching him. His battles lit a fire under her and were filled with emotion and stake. Intervention was not the way of her people, but she saved him nonetheless. It was doubtful that one healed mortal would upend the natural order of the cosmos, after all. This was her first proper connection with a mortal and more than that; a Saiyan. She became obsessively interested in this race of warriors who many would deride as savages or disgustingly immoral. To Sentia, however, they were brilliant. Their society, culture and everything captivated her. And as she began looking deeper and deeper into these people, she too became interested in the other species... and suddenly, the world that had seemed so distant and simple was now large. Not just large, but filled with minutiae.
Reconvening with her master, she was given a new task. She was to take the mortal she had met and mentor him. By taking responsibility and growing close to a mortal, her superior believed it would cultivate everything she was missing and give her a chance to stretch her legs and truly experience not only the beautiful universe she was to watch over with her people but to give her memories worth remembering.
This hybrid, however, was quite unlike what she'd read about. He was abrasive, sure, but he was not a fiery soul who would butt heads with everything. Instead, he was actually almost a mirror to her. While she was vain and put up appearances, leading her to have empty interactions with others and cementing her introvert status, he forced himself outwards and got into much trouble for it. Not only that, but he was soft-spoken and awfully anxious. A complete contrast to his people and yet somehow, her teacher believed an ideal trainee to show her why mortals are so interesting and varied. And hopefully it would sort out both of their social shortcomings!

Sentia channels a small amount of her Ki to either throw a flurry of pinpoint strikes or a barrage of thin pink Ki lasers from her fingertips. She gives her widest smile and words of wisdom, really trying to give the mature teacher vibe.

A mirror-shaped pink barrier floats forward in front of Sentia, trailing blossoms and protecting her from harm. It is thin and translucent.

Coating her hand in pink Ki, Sentia gives a flamboyant flick of her hand and sends a crescent shaped blade to cut into an opponent from afar. Upon dealing at least 10% damage, her Ki infiltrates the body of her opponent and weakens them briefly.

Closing her eyes, Sentia takes a great stride forward towards an attack. Somehow in a display of great speed or some form of visual illusion, she phases right through it and evades it completely, assuming it is within her power!

SPARKING Heavy Defensive || Guardian's Watchful Gaze
Petals fall slowly around the Kai. Once an attack reaches them, the petals form into a full barrier around the target in the shape of a lotus blossom. Should the technique survive the blow, she commands it to first heal the defended and then scythe through the air as an attack with the remaining strength left in it!

Utility Technique || Magic Materialisation
The Shinjin are well versed in supernatural arts and Sentia is even moreso fond of them. By focusing, she can conjure objects or structures. Larger or more complicated things will take more energy and focus to create. This technique is passive and does not require KP.
Utility Technique || Flight
By some means, usually through a skillful application of your ki, you are able to fly through the air.
Utility Technique || Ki Sensing [Ki for Dummies #1]
A technique that allows you to sense, measure, and differentiate the ki signatures of ki attacks and all living beings without the Anti-Sense trait. Higher ki signatures are easier to sense and can be sensed at greater distances than lower ones. This technique is passive and does not use KP.
