CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE:
BACKGROUND: Lady Scarlet awakens in a smoking crater. No one told her the landing would be so rough, though the fact that her voyage was involuntary might have something to do with that. True, she wanted to be out from under the thumb of her planetary progenitor... beware what you wish for she guessed. She unfirled her prehensile wings and flexed her tendril-like appendages connected to them. She looked around at the normal folk working at their pedestrian chores. "I guess this is my army...when I regain the strength to control them...if I do. who knows what being away from the sentient planet from which she hailed would do to her newfound powers. After I create a fortress that resembles the environment I'm used to."
Her thoughts drifted to her creation/birth/awakening. She was in some kind of thick greenish-gray liquid. She heard a humming she knew to be machines. She pushed aside some dull metalic and rubbery tubes dripping with the same greenish-gray liquid to gain access to the solid surface in whbich she was contained. As soon as she made contact with that dirty gray wall, she saw her container from the outside. It was a silver "egg" amidst a sea of other "eggs" that resembled hers. Lady scarlet knew she had to get out of there. The egg shook as cracks began to form. A dull green light as well as a dirty-green mist seeped out of the cracks. Soon a hard tendril-like appendage poked through as the "egg" wall gave way. Following shortly after was a clearly female body covered with bony ribbing. soon after, bony wings lightly covered with some kind of webbing erupted from her body.
After a year of serving the sentient planet which had created her. However, Lady Scarlet was different from her fellows. A little more of the planet's power had flowed into her she later theorized. She discovered she had mental powers. The planet tried to suppress these powers. It couldn't entirely so it tried to kill her. She got away from it and her powers got stronger. She got to asteroid which seemed to be the limitation of her space travel abilities. It was strange when she noticed the asteroied had some kind of artificial atmosphere. She walked a bit further and found a dwelling. She enterred to find one of her kind. He spoke, "Sooo you got out too. It's normal to feel confused. Your life's purpose dissappeared after all. The entity (planet) doesn't seem to be able to reach us here, but just to be safe, I have been recommending that others...yes others... get further away. As we can't travel far into space, I can use my unique abilities to send you with my powers." Just then a large spike impaled him. He looked like he was in great pain but managed to open a portal. "Go....quickly." She entered the portal. The last thing she saw before the smoking crater was her savior being impaled by several more spike-lance-things.
