"Cover, huh."
Jackie wasn't sure if the Majin had previously attempted anything questionable before to Earthlings, but the way she spoke, she probably didn't care much for them at the time. Was it more so worried being presented as a Majin would be offsetting? There was plenty of alien life that enjoyed the planet, and there aren't many stuck-up Earthlings who didn't like outsiders. Not outside the very recent loud few who took the Accords to heart. Darken their hearts, Earth should not. When it was brought up, Jackie tilted hr head back to the tribe. Who, despite for sure knowing they had powerful guests just at their doorstep, didn't bother to check on them. They were familiar with the warmth Jackie exuded, and her typical role around here was as a caretaker and guardian.
"Oh. Part of the Tribes who live in this forest. Some peoples, and cultures, prefer the simpler life tied to nature. Here, we maintain their autonomy and allow them to grow without imposing anything on them in return."
Jackie stated rather plainly, turning back to her. "This isn't even the 'rural' part. But if you're curious we can pay them a visit. Sure they wouldn't mind meetin' a Majin again. They've long since cast off their weariness of outsiders, which would have included me ages ago." She stood there for a moment, before realizing the two still had their hands locked. With a blink, she'd let the woman go. Not wanting to seem like she was babying an actual magical being with her lead.
"Whoops."
There was a fading comfort once she retrieved that hand. Something Jackie didn't recognize as she went through the motions of leading. "Sorry about that."
