Some Assembly Required? Sure seems like an understatement. There must be hundreds of pieces in here.
Honenashi rotates the technical diagrams from the assembly instructions counter-clockwise and upside down trying to make sense of the instructions. He has moved into the second floor of a dingy 2 story wooden building.
A fixer upper for sure- but it was free- kind of…
On the last episode of South City Chronicles...
Honenashi moved in after the large fight with the Zaibatsu officer, Policy. He and his men were stationed here. After almost being defeated, they abandoned their post and retreated.
To the winner goes the spoils… Honenashi decided to stick around and fix up the place.
Telzhud, his new comrade in arms, traveled East to East City.
Honenashi carefully stretches out a large plastic tarp over the living room covering the wooden floorboards. He had spent many hours pulling off all the musty gray carpet that plagued the entire living room and even more time buffing, polishing and waxing the wooden floorboards. He puts all the parts that came in the box gently down on the tarp in the exact order given in the parts list of the assembly instructions.
Wood dowels…check… bag of metallic fasteners check… grommets? What the heck is a grommet….
Honenashi pulls out his phone. He takes a brief moment to admire the shiny device. Being kind of a tech geek- he is a cyborg after all- Honenashi always spends top Zeni for the latest tech gear. He spares no expense when it comes to tech. His latest device is the zPhone 8 Pro Max Super GT Namek edition. The Namek Edition was a limited edition only released in Namek. The only difference being that the backplate is green, but for some reason it costs twice as much. Worth it.
Honenashi forgets why he even took out his phone. He had forgotten about looking up what a grommet is and instead he scrolls through his social media. Either coincidently or because the algorithms are so advanced, Telzhud’s page shows up on his feed.
I wonder how he’s doing…
The smartphone microphone listens into his thoughts.
