CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE: [Image Forthcoming]
Aster stands at a quite diminutive 4'10", with a thin, non-muscular frame and lily-white skin. Her incredibly long hair and eyes in her base form are a solid black color. In terms of overall appearance, she resembles many of her Earthling friends and family members, however there are several key differences. For starters, and most notably, Aster has a large, fish-like tail extending from her back-end. This tail is scaled, particularly in black scales with white interstitial sections that match her hair and eye color. She also has 3 horizontal gill-slits on the sides of her stomach, which she tends to keep uncovered for her comfort. Finally, the edges of her legs and arms are covered in the same black scale pattern as her tail.
Aster typically clothes herself quite simply, wearing a tied tie dye crop top along with jeans. She tends to not wear shoes due to the discomfort they cause from rubbing on her scales, which is no issue considering that her scales protect her from ground debris. She usually wears her hair floor length, though she occasionally will put her hair up in training. Most notably, Aster has a necklace given to her by her mother, a silver chain with a pendant on the end with two side by side slots, one filled with a brilliant black gem, the other socket empty.
BACKGROUND: Many years ago, an Earthling woman and a man from the stars met one another. Knowing they were bound together in some way by fate, they had a child, born under the stars. However, as was practice for the father and his species, he left for other planets and adventures, leaving his newborn child and lover behind on the planet Earth. The Earthling woman herself was a traveler, just on a much smaller scale than her bygone lover, and she traveled with her daughter, Aster, around the Earth finding meaning in her existence.
As Aster aged, her attention began to turn away from her home planet and to the stars above. As she had grown up, she'd heard the many stories of her father and his way of life, and she felt she was destined to live the same life. But, as with many childlike dreams, Aster found herself stuck to Earth, living the life that her mother wanted of her, training her strange abilities that began cropping up in her teens that were unexplained and alien, and living her life like any other Earthling.
However, something began changing in both Aster and her mother. Suddenly, her mother was unable to travel in the ways she used to, and her body, much like all things eventually do, began to deteriorate. Meanwhile, Aster's lust for the stars began to reignite with a burning passion. She, however, felt chained to Earth for now, ailing her sick mother and attempting to bring her health to a stable level. This was all somewhat in vain. After years of struggling, Aster's mother knew her time was at an end. She gave Aster her pendant, telling her that the pendant would guide her to what it was she desired.
Now, with her past buried, and her life at a fresh starting point, Aster can finally begin to turn her attention to where she feels she belongs! All that she needs now is a way of planet, and a destination to begin her search for meaning. Earth's last gift to her was waiting for the taking.
PERSONALITY: Aster is a very bubbly woman generally. She has a tendency to find new friends quickly, and loves to meet people of different background with whom she can share stories and learn of their home. She generally tends to avoid actual fights, though she never turns down a good sparring match when she is offered. She tends to be quite active, and she is quite curious about the things that lay just around the corner.
In a real battle, Aster changes tone completely. The bubbliness and bounciness generally disappear, only to be replace by a stoic and serene face. Though she may try to talk down a person while she fights, her goal is on the ending the fight as soon as possible to prevent any further harm to any involved parties.
FIGHTING STYLE: Aster fights in two primary modes. When battle begins, she will attempt to talk down the other party and conserve her strength, generally throwing weaker attacks and generally just trying to stay out of the way of hits. Once she realizes the other party won't listen to reason, however, she will begin letting lose, throwing harder hitting barrages and beams and trying to incapacitate (or sometimes kill) the other fighter(s).
COMBAT INFORMATION
TECHNIQUES: You start with Three Standard Technique Slots and One Sparking Slot that you can use any way you like. Some species start out with additional slots, or access to certain slot-based abilities for free. You also start with two additional Utility Technique Slots.
STARTING LOADOUT: I am opting to start at a PL of 20,000, with the rest kept as XP, as well as the starting Zeni. I would also like to spend the starting Zeni on a Ki for Dummies Guidebook, which I will use on Ki Suppression.

Light Offensive Technique [ART] || Starlight PunchADDITIONAL NOTES: Would like the starting transformation renamed to Star Child. Also note that the Martial Artist bonus was applied to the first two techs on the list and the 20k tech. I would also like the rest of the transformations renamed as follows: Star Child DX (x5), Stellar Warrior (x16), Astral Self (x27), True Astral Self (x29), Celestial Oceanid (x37), and Starlight Goddess (x43).
Aster charges her fist with starlight energy and launches a single strong punch at the target.
Power: 50%
KP Cost: 2 KP
Variants: None
Medium Defensive Technique [ART] || Stellar Mirage
Aster evades one attack by using starlight to create a mirage that enemies attack instead of her. Upon the mirage being attacked, it disintegrates into amorphous light and dissipates.
Power: 100%
KP Cost: 4 KP
Variants: Evasive
Heavy Defensive Technique || Stellar Bubble
Aster creates a bubble of aquamarine energy around her, protecting her from an offensive technique.
Power: 80%
KP Cost: 5 KP
Variants: None
SPARKING Heavy Offensive Technique || Supernova Blast
Aster raises an open hand to the sky and begins to charge energy. As she does, the previously purple ball of energy grows, on the first charging turn with additional blue and red energies that stream in from the stars themselves, and on the second with yet more energy from the stars in the form of yellow and green energy. On the third turn, if fully charged, Aster repositions the gigantic orb of energy in front of her and fires a gargantuan beam of swirling purple, blue, red, yellow, and green energy, as well as many small, single colored beams that come out of the point of fire and shoot at all the other members of the thread except for three pre-chosen targets.
Power: 110%
KP Cost: 6 KP
Variants: Preparation, Homing, Quake+
Support Technique || Stellar Flare (Solar Flare)
Aster releases a blinding flash of stellar light, blinding the opponent. The power of the Solar Flare is valued at 60% of the current total power level. If successful, Aster can escape an Action Thread immediately, or switch to a Action Thread Split. Can be overcome with a stronger attack.
Support Technique || Starlight Overdrive (MAX Power)
Aster absorbs all available starlight (whether just from the sun or the night stars) and pumps her body full of excess power. This extra energy increases the power of all her techniques by 10%, but due to the intense focus required to maintain it, she does not regain MP while it is active, and she also is prevented from using evasive or escape techniques, blocking escapes, and intercepting attacks meant for others.
Medium Offensive Technique [10k] || Celestial Slam
Aster charges her body with astral energy and flies straight at the opponent before she unleashes a three strong hits on her opponent.
Power: 50%
KP Cost: 3 KP
Variants: None
Heavy Offensive Technique [20k] [ART] || Supernova Beam
Aster raises her hand above her head and charges a ball of purple energy before putting it in front of her and firing it at the opponent.
Power: 90%
KP Cost: 6 KP
Variants: Overflowing
Utility Technique || Ki Sensing
Using her intuition, Aster is able to sense the Ki signatures of living beings that don't have the Anti-Sense trait and the power of attacks, locate them, and compare them to other energy signatures.
Utility Technique || Flight
Using the power of latent starlight, Aster can fly using the energy as a propulsion that she sends through her tail, effectively allowing her to swim in the air.
Utility Technique [KFD Book #1] || Ki Suppression
Aster has learned to suppress her Ki at will, allowing her to set her power level at any level below her maximum whether for reasons of sparring, or simply to try and better blend into the population at-large.
STARTING LOADOUT: I am opting to start at a PL of 20,000, with the rest kept as XP, as well as the starting Zeni. I would also like to spend the starting Zeni on a Ki for Dummies Guidebook, which I will use on Ki Suppression.
