Morrigan nodded agreeably with the statement, given only a little bit of pause at the latter half of what Illuma had to say. She couldn’t feel any melancholy in the words, but even she could connect the advice and advanced age of the woman giving it to read between the lines. A world without Nelle, Sith and Si in it was hard to think of. She’d rather not, she realized. Not feeling especially qualified for further comment, she hummed understandingly, if very quietly.
She protracted her silence as Nervan found something else to focus on. The Earthling looked over to the gull after they questioned it. Where indeed? Seabirds weren’t so patient with their food for it to have come from the mainland. It was a curious thing, even more so for someone to notice. Looking back down to Nervan, she watched the strange, jittery fellow at the suggestion. “Well, you turned out to be an interesting distraction, at least,” She told them, concurring silently that they should be getting back to their respective tasks. Over the course of their enlightening conversation, Morrigan had gotten used to the eccentric appearance, but only now noticed their shadow. Or rather, that they lacked one.
“I’ll be looking forward to it then. I almost hate to wait, but I’ll use that time wisely. Important to be better than I am now, no?” Glancing over to Illuma for approval, she flexed her hand in a gesture of subtle enthusiasm. A real, unmistakable smile crossed her face. “I hope you find something worthwhile. Be seeing you soon Nervan, Illuma,” Giving both a small nod, she pulled the faceted blood ruby from her pants and tossed it back into her heap of belongings. Bending her knees slightly, Morrigan took off with little warning, darting across the debris and resuming her exercise.
