GENERAL INFORMATION
NAME: Tinker
AGE: 19
GENDER: Male
GENERAL TRAITS: Quick Learner || Impossible Recovery
STARTING PLANET: Konats
HOME REGION: S'tarche Coast
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE: Stands about 4'2.
BACKGROUND:
Tinker was always unassuming among his peers. Tall by the standards of Fauxbians, but decisively smaller than his siblings and cousins. His speed wasn't noteworthy, nor was his strength or much of anything physically. By the standards of the universe he was fast, but would have considered himself below average compared to his peers in most regards. Only his appearance was considered a bit odd, but not enough for it to be noteworthy or to truly matter.
In the search of something of to stand out, he quickly found interest in machines. He enjoyed toying and modifying whatever machinery he had access to, and through this swiftly realized Fauxterra wasn’t where he was supposed to be. It felt like all the technology he cared about came from elsewhere within the foreigner’s city of Fulman Faux. Immediately on that realization, he decided he was going to explore the universe. As soon as he could, he took a ship of his own and left the planet, to discover whatever technology he could.
Though initially planning to land on another planet, an error in his spacecraft led him to land on Konats instead. Despite this, he lived happily on the lawless world. Everyone needed something repaired, and the young Fauxbian relished all the new technology he was given access to regardless of how valuable it was. Fixing things came naturally, and if people would pay him to do so? That just made things better. Though he enjoyed the odd fight, he avoided the larger battles and violence and was allowed to mess with technology as much as he wanted. Though he couldn't get access to everything he wanted, this low-key existence was enough.
This couldn’t last forever, though. Eventually, he was caught in an ambush; Tinker wasn’t sure why he was attacked, though he has his theories. A few of the stuff he was looking at at the time were very different from the typical random repair on a scouter or something, though he didn't think much of it at the time. Ultimately, however, the reason he was pursued wasn't important to Tinker. The fact he was attacked at all, and that he could only barely manage to defend himself enough to escape was what mattered. Tinker still isn't fully sure how he managed to escape alive, many of the exact details lost in a fog of panic at the time; he rationalizes that his escape came from mostly luck and a stubborn unwillingness to let himself die, but acknowledges he probably did something impromptu to aid in his survival before he fell unconscious in an alley. Ultimately, given the lack of any further pursuit after the fact, it's unlikely that he was the ultimate target. He most likely had something important to someone, even if he didn't understand exactly what or why.
Much of his place had been ransacked when he returned. Following his near-death experience, he considered heading home to the safety of Fauxterra. Instead, he resolved to stay, while working to ensure that never happened again. He made a metallic tail, to replace the one he lost in the ambush; stronger, larger and more durable for combat. He created disposable weapons to attack from afar. He made his own way of fighting, so that he was no longer only working with only the unpractised skill he had from home. It took time and much of the funds he’d gathered to get to this point, but he was now ready to show what he’d made of himself.

TECHNIQUES:
Light Offensive || Here's the Pitch!
Tinker throws a ball to send it flying towards his target.
Power: 20%
KP Cost: 1 KP
Variants:
Light Defense || Running the Base
Using speed that comes naturally to Fauxbians, Tinker simply runs and clambers on any surroundings he can reach to evade an attack.
Power: 60%
KP Cost: 2 KP
Variants: Evasive
Medium Offense || Smashing Service
Tinker spikes a ball downward with a swing of his tail, intending to catch the enemy with the ball itself to hit with explosive force. Failing that, the tail swing itself can also cause serious damage.
Power: 70%
KP Cost: 4 KP
Variants:
8k Technique
Medium Defense || Return Service
A concentrated tail swing with the intent of striking the enemy with their own attack. Alternatively, this can act as a tail swing out-speeding the enemy and sending them flying when they get close, but that isn’t really the intended application.
Power: 50%
KP Cost: 4 KP
Variants: Reflective
16k Technique
Medium Offense || Trick Shot
After carefully aiming Tinker launches a ball, intending to catch a dodge with the abnormally fast ricochet. He won't complain if someone just lets him hit with the regular swing though.
Power: 50%
KP Cost: 4 KP
Variants: Homing
Sparking Heavy Offense || Break Point
Tinker spikes a ball at his enemy with outstanding force. The strike is so hard that space almost distorts as he strikes the ball, the ball pausing in the air before it rockets into his target. Or maybe it's a quirk of the ball's creation. Tinker isn't quite sure, and it really doesn't affect how hard it hits.
Power: 130%
KP Cost: 5 KP
Variants:
Utility Technique || Cling On
The claws on his hands and feet allow him to easily dig into walls or floors for leverage. This allows him to quickly and easily scale walls and ceilings, or alternatively he can simply remain still on them.
Utility Technique || Breaker Ball
Custom weapons created by Tinker, looking like a baseball with a metal device on one side. These spheres carry the energy that comes naturally from Fauxterrans extremely well, allowing them to rotate and move at speeds that would break less specialized and durable objects. Beyond their sheer force and durability, they ricochet off of most inanimate surfaces without losing speed, only properly stopping upon striking a person and imparting all the energy into them. They can also have their momentum briefly 'held' if handled carefully, though this is more experimental and can't be safely done by Tinker for more than a few seconds at a time. They will lose the momentum if they go without contact for more than a few seconds, but this contact can be reapplied via ricochet.
