Jeanne is a petite woman, standing at 4'7" and bearing cutesy features that somewhat belie her age. Sat atop her head is green, curly and messy hair that seems to want to curl upwards no matter what she does with her hair. Adorning her face is a small button nose and big, green eyes that nonetheless show sharpness and intellect. Looking lower, Jeanne possesses a svelte, almost skinny physique, body in an hourglass shape and sporting relatively wide hips and full thighs. Despite her slight physique, a keen eyes can detect denser than normal musculature and a healthy physique that betrays her fighting prowess.
True to her nature as a sorcerer, Jeanne favours witch-like outfits, sporting a lot of black even if she forgoes a hat. Her outfit of choice is a skintight black dress with loose fabric at the bottom so as to not restrict her movements.
BACKGROUND: In the most isolated reaches of the Rocky North, where civilisation rarely touches and the conveniences and ways of the modern world have not yet reached, lied a conclave of magicians -- witches, wizards, sorcerers, and other such spellcasters spent their lives researching the secrets of magic, proclaiming themselves the last true bastion of scholarly knowledge on Earth. That was what Jeanne grew up believing, heir to a pretigious family within the harsh cliffs they called home, and groomed into being the perfect heir for their line.
The reality, however, was different. Whatever spark of brilliance that lied within had long since been lost, replaced instead with poncey pretense and increasingly vile methods of obtaining power, from cruel rituals involving blood sacrifices to even cavorting with demons with the promise of power. The more Jeanne understood about magic and the world around her, the more she grew to despise it all -- how that lust for power warped a worthy intent and permeated everything around her like a sickness.
And the corruption reached her peers as well. Even as she was made a pariah, she still tried to hold on to the few friendships she had, but she couldn't do even that. They slowly but surely slipped away, losing themselves to the corruption of demonic power and in turn blaming Jeanne for not being strong enough to be the person she was meant to be, even going so far as to make her the scapegoat for all that was wrong with their community -- that she wasn't strong enough to recapture their old glory.
But that suffering would soon end, to be replaced with a new pain. Barbarians of the Rocky North would suddenly and quickly assail them, and the so vaunted magics Jeanne had been taught seemed to pale before the raw might of the barbarians' ki and their martial prowess. Jeanne fled in the night, leaving behind her home and everything she had ever known, coming upon modern civilisation for the first time in her life.
In spite of her pain, or perhaps because of it however, she had an epiphany. Magic was only one half of the whole -- maybe even less so. There was a whole world of other things out there, chock full of knowledge and wisdom for her to grasp for her own. A scholar and adventurous woman at heart, she decided to dive headfirst into this research, melding ki, magic, and other forms of knowledge in what she dubbed a Hybrid Study in hopes of becoming a complete and well-rounded person, and gaining the power to excise her world from the vile rot of evil that seemed to lurk in every corner...

It would take nothing less than the strongest of techniques to stop such a force of nature.

In a manner not unlike removing a cork from a bottle of wine, Jeanne lets her magical energies flow freely throughout her form, increasing the power of her techniques by 10% but preventing her from gaining MP due to the passive spill of energy she incurs. The focus also means she cannot use evasive or escape techniques, prevent escapes, or intercept attacks meant for others. She can turn this off at the second post after activation at earliest, and does not gain MP on said post.
