Tainer is a young shinjin with a weak constitution who has been assigned by his master to go on a quest for knowledge and to understand the universe. By his side is the Ardean, a legendary beast from a race that once protected Ard and its trees of might.
TAINER'S TECHNIQUES
UT || Flight
Tainer is able to channel enough ki to raise himself into the air and fly short distances.
UT || Galactic Telepathy
Tainer's specialty. He's able to contact others throughout the universe, as long as he knows who they are. This connection allows the Ardean to warp to his side in an emergency.TRAITS
MYSTIC ARTS
You can heal your allies with your magical abilities. You can generate a heal valued at 75% of your PL for 3 KP, 150% of your PL for 6 KP. This interacts exclusively with your base power level, and heals based on your target's base power level. You can choose to heal yourself instead of an ally, once per thread regardless of level used. The self heal generates a heal valued at 50% of your PL for 3KP or 100% of your PL for 6KP.
KAI KAI
Once per month, you may travel instantaneously from one planet to another with up to 5 others. This also provides a free 60% evasive defense technique, usable once per thread, that is boost-able. You can also post freely in the Otherworld boards even if you are not dead.
CREATOR
Once per thread, select a once per thread Battle Item. You materialize a copy of that item and it functions as per usual. The item can be given to allies mid-thread, but disappears upon the thread's conclusion. This item may bypass normal inventory restrictions.
MINIMALIST
You may split your consumables into two, half-strength uses. Allies may use these half-strength items, but they only persist until the end of the thread.
DEEP POCKETS
You can carry two additional items into threads.
THE ARDEAN'S TECHNIQUES
Light Attack || Mighty Claw
Slash at a foe using their sharp claws.
Power: 20%
KP Cost: 1 KP
Medium Defense || Heavenly Roar
Unleash a mighty roar that reaches to the heavens, pushing away any oncoming opponent or energy attack.
Power: 50%
KP Cost: 4 KP
Variants: Shield
Medium Attack || Proboscis Palate
Pierce an opponent with their needle-like tongue and suck out their bodily fluids/energy. Leaves a large, bleedy hole.
Power: 30%
KP Cost: 3 KP
Variants: Bleed
Starting Sparking Technique to come at a later date.
UT || Beck and Call
From anywhere in the universe, return directly to their bonded one's side when called for in an instant.
UT || Ki Intimidation
Due to their unique super-fruit diet, the Ardean's ki is read at a much higher level than what it actually is, at around x5 their base PL.TRAITS
EXTRATERRESTRIAL
Twice per thread, you may add a sparking variant to a non-sparking technique. Techniques cannot have more than two variants at a time.
FASTEST IN THE UNIVERSE
You can use a free 30% evasive defense technique twice per thread. These cannot have their power boosted in any way.
GALAXY BRAIN
You may use multiple Offensive techniques in a single post, to a maximum three techniques. This is once per thread, and is only usable on Standard Techniques.
IMPOSSIBLE RECOVERY
If you are defeated by taking Critical Damage in an Action Thread, you can choose to be dealt a Wound and continue the fight with whatever HP you have remaining. If defeated again, you will be dealt an additional Wound. In a non-AT thread, this allows you to resist Critical Damage once, and you do not sustain a wound. When this effect triggers, you lose all status effects (positive and negative) and may use Second Wind even if you have already used it.
BARE-KNUCKLE BRAWLER
You don't need help from modern distractions! If you enter a thread with no combat* items or consumables, you may boost a defensive technique by +30% once per thread! This bonus is lost if you receive or use an item mid-thread and cannot apply to Sparking techniques.
