Yangcong had to continue doing business for the snakes and one of them involved the exportation of stolen gold from the mines. The rumors around the port was that miners were being threatened by some unknown group which was really the dirty snakes but they were dressed up as local pirates and such. They have been threatening the local miners in order to produce more gold at a fast rate. It had paid off after a week and now the gold was on a ship and Yangcong was wearing a pirate captain's hat and a gigantic sized fur coat that covered his back.
"All of the gold is on board Captain Viper!"
"Good good! Excellent news! Now I can ship this gold to my forging station and turn it into luxury items!"
The pirate crew kept bringing in the cargo one after another. Soon the pirate ship would be filled up and ready to move forward! Yangcong stood at the helm of the ship and in front of the drivers wheel.
It didn't take long for Yogu to want to leave South City as soon as possible. In fact, he wanted to get out of the south altogether. It was just too hot down there. He couldn't stand the weather! If Yogu had to walk for another ten minutes, that would be it for him. He'd surely die of heatstroke. It was time to go NORTH! And the best way to do that was to take a boat! Well, it wasn't actually the best way, but when you have no cash begging to be a stowaway on a ship seemed a lot more reasonable than begging to be a stowaway on a plane. So, that's why he walked all the way down to Yahhoy Port. And the first thing he noticed about the port was how little port there actually was.
The whole damn city was like a concrete maze! It took him hours to navigate through all the warehouses, homes, and tourist traps until he finally saw the ocean with his own eyes. It was a sight to behold, finally getting away from all the noise of the cities and seeing all of that... Water? He never really got why people liked the ocean or beaches until now. Something about it put him at peace, while also making him realize for the first time how big the world is. The sea really seemed to stretch on forever. It felt nice, getting a break from thinking about reality. But he was already starting to get bored of staring at the ocean. Those thoughts of needing to keep moving were slowly creeping back in. Back to work.
Yogu wandered around, getting in the way of people trying to move cargo in and out, and generally causing annoyances for everyone around him while he begged for a place to stow away on. At this point, he was getting pretty sick of getting told to go away. "Alright, I don't give a damn anymore! The next one, even if they say no I'm just sneakin' on!" The boy walked up to a ship, and just kind of... Screamed at it. He didn't really know what else to do. As he was about to start, he caught a glimpse at some old dude on the deck wearing a really dumb-looking hat, it looked like they had picked it up at a costume store. Well, he was standing at the helm of the ship so the senior citizen must be in charge. "YO! HEY, old guy! Are you guys headin' up north? Could I hitch a ride or somethin'?! I can do work on the ship or whatever if you want. I don't really know what you do on a cargo ship, but I'm strong so I could carry stuff for ya." This was a cargo ship, right? It didn't look like the other ones... But if a ship is taking cargo then it's a cargo ship right?
Normally Yangcong wouldn't entertain a random when it came to doing his dirty jobs. However one of his crew mates started to collapse on the ground after carrying so much weight. Yangcong would yell out towards the man as he raised his fist in the air.
"HEY! JUST WHAT THE HELL YOU DOING JUST LAYING AROUND! I AIN'T PAYIN YA TO SIT AROUND!"
"I'm sorry Captain Viper but the cargo is just too heavy!"
He soon started to see the other crew members eventually give up. The amount of gold that was taken was just too much. So much so that the crew members being regular humans just didn't cut it. Yangcong had faced palmed and sighed to himself in disbelief. At first he was just going to do the job by himself but it looked like a helping hand was aboard.
"Alright kid, get those cargo crates in here. I need to make the shipment before noon."
Yangcong had looked at his watch and continue to shake his head in disbelief.
"You will get paid just like they were going to get paid for this job. Now get going!"
Yangcong took the helm of the ship and waited for the last three cargo crates to get on the ship with Yogu's help. Hopefully he would make it in time.
Yogu was a little surprised to see just about all of the crew of this ship giving up. It started with one dude, who called the old guy with the hat 'Captain Viper'. If that wasn't the most obvious pirate captain name ever, Yogu didn't know what was. But, it turned out to be a good thing, because now he had a job! And a ride! He'd finally get his hands on some zeni again! "Alright rich old dude, you got it!" The cargo was lighter than Yogu thought it'd be, stacking the crates and lifting them onto his shoulder without much effort, getting some surprised looks from the crew members of the ship. He tended to forget that although he was weaker than, say, his siblings, he probably could've done the entire crew's job in half the time. Nevertheless, the boy stumbles his way into the cargo hold of the ship and haphazardly tosses the boxes with the others.
It seemed like he tossed them a little too hard, however, because just as the boxes were flung out of his sight the unmistakable sound of a wooden box smashing into hundreds of pieces could be heard. He crawled over the boxes to see just how much damage he'd done. Peeking his head over a mountain of crates, he saw he split one open and falling out was... "Gold...?! AHAhAHA! I'm gonna be rich!" He took off down the hill of cargo, tripping on his shoelace and getting some good air, before smacking down onto the hull of the ship face first with a dull thump. Peeling his face off the ground, Yogu hopped to his feet and hobbled over to the box of gold. He'd never seen real gold before in his life. He thought it would've been shinier. Paranoia quickly set in, and he shot a look back over his shoulder, scanning the area. He didn't see anyone, although the cargo hold was quite dark. Yogu starts whistling a little song to himself as he takes a piece of gold, one that fits right in the palm of his hand, and stuffs it in his pocket. If all these boxes were gold, that tiny little piece wouldn't matter that much right? They wouldn't even notice it was gone! Sure, the boy had no knowledge on how to sell stolen gold, or how much Zeni that gold he took was worth, but he was sure it was at least, like, a bajillion dollars. "With this, I won't even have to go to college like Krim and Miru! HAHAHA! Screw gettin' a real job! With this gold, I'm gonna do soooo much stuff! Like... Uh..." He'd figure it out later.
Trying his best to remain calm and not act like the heist of the century was just pulled off was hard for Yogu. While the ship started to get moving, he made his way across the deck towards the helm, squeezing and ducking past all of the dudes running back and forth to get the ship in check. Finally catching sight of the guy in charge of this whole operation, Yogu shouted up at him, "YO! You're takin' the cargo up north right? How long'll the ride be?" He needed to get off this ship as soon as possible, so he could go sell that gold and make some cash! Speaking of, "Oh yeah, and how much am I gettin' paid for the work?"
A HUGE CRASH COULD BE HEARD! Yangcong darted his eyes around and wondered what the hell was going on over there on his ship! He darted straight to the commotion, squinting his eyes as he saw that the boy he had hired had caused the scenery! What made matters worst? ALL HIS GOLD WAS JUST THROWN TO THE GROUND JUST LIKE THAT! GAH! Yangcong was shocked to see this child just ruin his operation and on top of that! He squinted his eyes even further! WHAT WAS THIS! THE LITTLE GREMLIN TRIED STEALING THE GOLD FOR HIMSELF! OH NO, NOT ON YANGCONG'S SHIP. THE MOST LEGENDARY UBER DUBER SHIP OF ALL THE SEVEN SEAS! NO SURE REEEEEEE BOB!!!
Yangcong got to marching and look at the boy with the biggest right eye look a person could give to another. His left eye was closed and his right eye almost came out of his socket as he looked the boy up and down with a mean look. IF STEAM COULD COME OUT OF YANGCONG'S EARS IN ANGER, THEY WOULD BE SO! He attempted to grab the boy with a strong grip and lifted him to the sky like a common criminal.
"YE WOULDN'T BE TRYIN TO STEAL FROM OL VIPER NOW WOULD YA?"
Even if he responded or not.
WOULD YA! I BE WALKIN THE SEVEN SEAS ALL ME LIFE BOY YO. AND NO ONE STEALS FROM CAP'N VIPER AND HIS CREW! NO SURE REEEEEE BOB!!!"
If he still had the child in his grasp, he would hurl him straight against the wall.
"NOW LISTEN HERE! I AM GOING TO TEACH YA A LESSON! YOU AIN'T GONNA GET ON MY BOAT AND ROB FROM ME! GOT IT?"
Yangcong took a step forward and was ready to fight the boy! He pulled out his arm cannon from his pocket and began to take aim directly at the boy's chest and fired a cannon ball straight at him! Yangcong had hoped the boy would get hit!
