CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE:
Elderly man, White hair and a great sash, typically travels with a golden canary called copernicus.
Height around 6 feet but usually hunched with a staff to help him walk.
BACKGROUND: Awakening in heaven already old, the shinjin had a lot to get used to. He awoke in the Sacred Land of the Kais. He arose from his lying position, flying straight to his feet. A grand stretch followed by numerous pops and cracks of his newly aged bones.
A yawn overcame him and his eyes rested on the bounteous sights of plants and buildings, everywhere was awash with beauty and colour. Perfection brought to form, only in a place like this… However, this was all a bit much for him and he turned around immediately, he found a lonely trail, burdened by a solitary tree. He leaned himself against it, quite out of breath after a few hundred metres of walking.
As he slid down to a seated position he noticed a small fluttering and flitting of wings. A small canary came over to him and landed upon his shoulder. He spoke with the bird in Universal common and the bird spoke in its tweets and chirps, but they understood one another. A few chuckles and joyous somersaults from the bird, who called itself Copernicus, and they set off once again, down the lonesome trail. It seemed to span endlessly, and so it did. He spent many years wandering that path, always returning to the same tree, or one that looked incredibly similar. Resting against it every few hours or so and talking of things, meaningful and meaningless with his dear companion.
It was never boring to Pat, in fact he found it exhilarating. But he felt an urge deep within. The universe had lost something, something he contained. Something he needed to return, something to give, something to teach. Though he had never wished for it before. He placed Copernicus upon his shoulder, ensured his robes were straightened and took a deep breath before declaring. “KAI KAI!” and with a shadow, more akin to a blur, he disappeared. To the real universe, full of flaws. But perhaps, he could teach them all. A little patience.
