|Meeting Your Idols|
Slipping away from the watchful eyes of the Onis patrolling around, one particular Shinjin was on a quest to find a particular someone. The rumor mill had been pretty active and among those with a particular interest in the realms below (or above, all a matter of perspective), the story of a golden Saiyan warrior meeting his demise had been circulating. A lot. To think a warrior of that stature could die so easily, it sparked some discussions. Such a reveal wouldn’t leave the saiyan population indifferent and maybe, just maybe, the warrior race would be locked in an arm’s race against each other to gain access to that state of power.
Now, Vale had heard of these Saiyans, a typical fighting race trading brains for brawn. From that alone, he had no real interest in them since they usually tend to burn bright but die out quickly. However, given the excitement from some fellow connoisseurs in “Mortals and their struggle” (a roundabout way of describing those who bet on the outcome of conflicts and wars across the galaxy), Vale had to AT LEAST check it out for himself. Apparently, it was not so much the fight itself, but the impact on future conflicts that made this such a grand event.
Tracking down the goliath was easy enough, as he had been rampaging across Hell for a good while now. He would have preferred a prettier spot, perhaps around a good glass of ashen mead?
Spotting the figure amongst the fields of nothingness, he flew down towards the ground, walking on the red soil.
“That place is not getting prettier…HEY YOU! Oh my, if it isn’t the man of the hour! Everyone’s been talking about you, you know? Sure, you might have lost and died but hey, that’s part of the game, isn’t it? Tell me, how did it happen, exactly?”
Of course, that’s what he was here for. Hearing the sad tale of a man meeting his fate. Music to his ears, really. Surely, he would be agreeable enough to share with him the story. Vale even offered his best grin!
“Don’t mind the less than welcoming hellscapes of…Hell. You do get used to them after a few thousands of years.”
