... What’s wrong with the way I sit? Zerori mentally questioned, her face dropping a bit out of confusion before she schooled her features back to normal to avoid suspicion. If Regalia noticed the change, Zerori could just say it was gas or something. That typically worked! Still, Zerori was getting a little anxious over just how familiar Regalia was, uncertain if she knew her personally or if Zerori had let slip that she really did grow overnight at some point. How could it have reached EARTH of all places though? She tried to dismiss the thought that she was sitting in the same room with someone who wasn’t just a ninja but a spy of some kind.


Thankfully, Regalia was bearing the food she promised and the sudden sound of Zerori’s stomach growling was all the confirmation needed to know she was excited for what was coming…

-well, she was until the tray was placed down and the offered food was a plate of the TINIEST sandwiches in existence. She stared at them for a long time, even as Regalia poured her a cup of tea. When the shock finally faded away, Zerori would look over to see with a curious glint in her eye the cloaked woman pulling down her mask to smile at her. Despite her reservations about the food, the woman and her mysteries Zerori felt her face heat up at the offer of kindness and turned away to direct her attention to the cup of tea instead. “I… I-I see,” Zerori would struggle to acknowledge after Regalia had excitedly presented her tiny sandwiches. “Thanks,” And without further thinking on it, Zerori reached over to procure her own sandwich-

-only to realize that, holding it in between her thumb and index finger, it was literally going to be a bite’s worth. She grimaced, glanced at the plate before giving a sigh through her nose, At least there are plenty of them. Before popping it in her mouth. Regalia would take this time as Zerori chewed to elaborate further.

And, as she listened, Zerori could at least accept that the logic of ‘Might Makes Right’ did have some valid points. Taking a sip of her tea (awkwardly holding the tiny stem of the cup with the fingertips of all five fingers) Zerori would respond a moment later, “Yeah, you’re right - I mean, why would you follow the rules someone else gives if they have no power over you and don’t even do that same?” She gave a shrug before Regalia got to the point of the discussion:

Those damn Accords again. Clearly, they were some form of law on this planet and Zerori was once again trying to wrap her head around them. “So… I think you mentioned them before, but… whoever made these ‘Accords’, right? They aren’t following their own rules, are they? Like, they’re as strong as the people that come to this planet and shit but theeeeey don’t think they’re the danger, yeah?” She hoped she was following this right because Zerori was utter shit at subterfuge and cryptic puzzles.

“The Prwesident of-?!” Zerori slightly choked a bit on one of the sandwiches in her mouth, chewing and swallowing quickly before she regained her composure, “-The President of Earth?!” A for the shock of the moment Zerori was silent before she realized she didn’t actually know who or what the President of Earth was. Given how it sounded, however, it was definitely the kind of title you’d give to someone that had a lot of power over the planet. Putting two and two together had the one-eyed woman given a wince, “- Yeah, that does sound tough.” And by the grace of the gods, Regalia had even provided the context Zerori needed to know she was going in the right direction. “I see. Thank you,” Zerori gratefully took, also taking the time to grab another tiny sandwich and stuff it in her mouth as Regalia continued to explain further.

And with all the context, Zerori had to admit that that was a problem. Not for her, no, but for Regalia who was a Human and worried about retaliation from more powerful races - it was a source of fear. “Hm…” While not entirely moved by the idea of helping Humans, Zerori could see the benefits of an idea or two that would benefit her. “You should hire some people to protect you, then. Y’know… if Earth doesn’t have strong enough fighters to do it. These accords do sound useless and more than a little creepy but some good ol’ fashioned hired muscle sounds like a better form of protection than a deal with no actual power behind it.” And if there was anything Zerori was truly versed in - it was deals.
