The forests of Earth were unlike anything that Durian had ever laid eyes on. Plant had forests, probably, but it's not like Durian ever ventured that far. At first he found it rather annoying how many trees there were, as it meant that anything he hunted would always have a good place to hide. He tried to see the positive in things however, noting how it forced him to think better. In his mind hunting on Plant had been like an easy mode; now he really had to work for his food.
And work he did, for his cravings weren't getting any better. He was starting to believe that some of the berries he had picked up and decided to carry with him were something he might have been allergic too. The vomiting and stomach cramps backed up his claims, though he had been yet to find an alternative until he could learn to magically create food as he had witnessed not too long ago. Such abilities were beyond him at present he had decided, and so it was back to hunting for young Durian.
The forests in the East had provided him with birds and rodents, which proved to be adequate if not a little underwhelming. He couldn't quite find anything to to match the delectable deliciousness of the Saiba creature until the aptly named Kaiju Jungle. While the trees to the East may have provided his prey with some small degree of safety they now worked the opposite, providing the young Tuffle boy with a barrier against the might dinosaurs he would come face to face with.
One particular brachiosaurus proved quite the match as it refused to give up the chase, forcing Durian out from the safety of the trees and into a small clearing. A genuine sense of fear overtook the boy, forcing him to tap into latent power as he charged at his foe, throwing himself into the air and smashing his foot into it's jaw, killing the beast in one blow. Durian would consume what remained of his energy dragging the corpse out of a river. From there he placed it up and over a small fire he had created, before waiting for his meal to be ready.
