GENERAL INFORMATION
NAME: Illuma Papramelosum
NAME PUN: Allium ampeloprasum, AKA Pearl Onion
ALIASES:
Old Pearl — A vague ‘title’ given to her due to her past.
Granny — Budoshi calls her this often, and he is the only one she allows it from.
AGE: 89
GENDER: She/Her
COMPANION TYPE: Buddy
SPECIES: Saiyan
[SAIYAN PRIDE] - CORE
When you have sustained 100% or more damage, you gain a +10% boost to all techniques, but you may not boost techniques with momentum. Healing to the point where you have less than 100% damage sustained deactivates this bonus.
[BURNING KI] - CORE
Once per thread, you may spend momentum in increments of 2 to regain KP at a cost of 2 MP to 1 KP.
[ZENKAI] - OPTIONAL
Upon being damaged 150% or more in one thread, gain a +10% bonus to thread completion. If you heal from 150% or more, you may gain that completion bonus up until that point mid-thread, for immediate application to your PL. Only usable in Action Threads, and only occurs once a thread.
GENERAL TRAITS:
[EAGLE EYED]
By spending at least one turn with no KP action to focus on a single target, you may glean their true current PL through the veil of Energy Suppression and Energy Setting, but not Antisense. Additionally, your Offensive Techniques gain +20% power against Escape Techniques.
[METAMORPHOSIS]
When transforming, you may choose to retain the MP that you currently have. However, you cannot use a Sparking Technique on that turn.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE:
Illuma is 7’1”/216cm. For lack of any better description and to put it bluntly, Illuma is old, atypically of Saiyans who often die young and in battle. Her dark slate blue hair is relatively short, and swoops outward and off to one side for the most part. She has light blueish eyes as well, and as a result of her age, she has many wrinkles. Despite her age however, Illuma’s general body language and guise of just being ‘a little old lady’ is simply an act, and she can switch back into a more spry form of motion. Illuma’s outfits vary, and she usually wears some baggy shirt, dress pants and cute monkey themed slippers— however— in more serious situations she dons her old armor once again. Her old armor is a mixture of ancient Saiyan armor and more modern Saiyan armor, keeping the general shape of the old while mixing in the advancements of the new stuff.
BACKGROUND:
Born in the first few decades of Sadala utterly falling apart, Illuma was born to a noble family that was part of a diverging colony— similar to the separatists of olden times from which they were descendants of. This colony had anticipated some sort of ultimate and unstoppable disaster, and once things started to go wild, they were among the first to leave Sadala outright, though they regretted it in the sense that they felt powerless to stop what was happening to their world.
The colony flew off and eventually dispersed across space, various groups going to different planets. Illuma’s family ended up on a world with vast oceans and many hundreds of thousands of islands rather than larger conglomerate landmasses known as Derisin. Here on this world the family made a name for themselves as keepers of law on the vast winding oceans of their new home, given the title ‘protectors of the Star Ocean’ by the locals.
Many decades passed, Illuma faced many conflicts and battles on this world and eventually grew old. Those that had arrived on this world alongside her were all long gone now, only she and the other descendants of her family remained here aside from the locals, and Derisin had prospered greatly. For a short time, Illuma would recount old tales of her family and their adventures, becoming known as the Old Pearl, something of a legend among the people.
Yet, she yearned for more. She was proud of what was accomplished, she was part of making a world better, she wasn’t powerless this time... So was it truly hopeless for Sadala? Illuma found it increasingly harder to believe that Sadala was not salvageable to a point that the thought would not leave her mind.
So, she left Derisin without so much as a word, and though she loved that world, she did not look back, it didn’t need her anymore.
Other worlds did... Sadala did.

COMBAT INFORMATION
TECHNIQUES:
|| Offense || Light || Star Ocean: Asteroid BelterADDITIONAL NOTES: I’d like to rename the starting transformation to Pearlescent Wrath please and thanks!
Illuma creates solid ‘rocks’ of Ki that she sends as a bombardment volley upon an opponent, and rather than exploding or burning like most energy attacks do, they create hard impact force much like a kiai would, they just so happen to be condensed into the shape of a glowing ‘rock’.
Power: 40%
KP Cost: 2 KP
Variants: N/A
|| Offense || Light || Star Ocean: Comet Lance
Illuma creates a small solid ‘rock’ of Ki that begins to spin at random on one axis. She then holds it up behind her and aims it at an opponent before suddenly throwing it with extreme velocity. With its speed and pointed spin, it has the capability to blast through or greatly impact her opponents defenses.
Power: 20%
KP Cost: 2 KP
Variants: Piercing
|| Offense || Heavy || Star Ocean: Winding Nebula
Illuma bends her Ki in a strange flowing motion, creating a shimmering iridescent mist that can change shape at a moment’s notice and either latch onto or capture other techniques to increase in power. The trick behind this technique is that the ‘mist’ is actually several billion little pinpricks of Ki, and this is what allows it to change and match up with other techniques that can merge.
Power: 80%
KP Cost: 6 KP
Variants: Merging
|| Defense|| Heavy Sparking || Star Ocean: Q-Star Hypernova
Illuma brings out a deep well of energy around her in a brilliant flash of iridescent light and she collects it into a shimmering ball that burns bright like a star, with colours a star could not possibly be, she uses its bright burning properties as a form of defense, and if its defensive power is lessened considerably and has any at all remaining, it collapses and bursts into an explosive beam of energy that suddenly ramps up in power in a brilliant counterattack!
Power: 70%
KP Cost: 5 KP
Variants: Reflective, Reflective+, Mending
Utility Technique || Air Walker
Through a skilled and practiced application of her ki, Illuma is able to fly through the air. This technique is passive and does not use KP.
Utility Technique || The Pearl’s Eye
Illuma is able to sense, measure, and differentiate the ki signatures of ki attacks and all living beings without the Anti-Sense trait. Higher ki signatures are easier to sense and can be sensed at greater distances than lower ones. This technique is passive and does not use KP.
