Deadly Dealings (Open)

Dosu tried getting a grasp of what would be the aforementioned worm, but didn’t really find anything particularly resembling. It didn’t help that he had no idea what it looked like, but he had seen worms before, so his plan of action was just winging it until he found it. It suddenly got warmer, strangely so. The steam was a red flag, the flames even more so and so he stopped what he was doing. He felt as if he had touched on something a bit different, though, in that moment.

He looked at the mess he had made, shaking off the purple blood from his hand. Though an idiot, he immediately felt something was off with the way Gandigan talked, with the perspective of the worm he was trying to remove. That’s it! It had taken control of the Namekian’s body…

“Hmm, it was probably a bad idea…”

Now, it would have been another story if the parasite just acted normally (though, by Dosu’s standards, normalcy was always questionable), but since he had taken the time to threaten the Heran, his only recourse was to attack it.

“Hah! No thank you, I want to see how you get removed. I guess I’ll have to put you to sleep as well.”

He watched, intrigued as there seemed to be some sort of lag in Gandigan’s movement before he finally managed to shoot out a beam of energy. Was he not in full control? Was Gandigan still awake, somewhere?

Dosu stood in a fighting stance, matching his rhythm to that of the Namekian. Once the beam was inches away, he managed to dodge the attack with minimalist movements, to the point where it could’ve appeared as him taking the blast. The afterimage dissipated almost immediately, but Dosu had already lunged at Amon, trying to strike him with a punch to the neck, wanting to snap it.

“What’s your deal, anyway?”

What better person to give him the information than the culprit itself!

“Not in a talkative mood? Fine, suit yourself, I didn’t want to talk to you either.”

As petty as it was, the Heran was sincere. He didn’t like Amon or the idea of someone possessing another being felt disgusting to Dosu. At the very least, he never wanted it to happen to him. As he came towards Gandigan to launch his own offensive, he was met with a vicious attack that he did not expect.

He shielded himself with his arms in front of his face as the claws lacerated his skin, mainly on his arms and chest. He fell back, trying to take some distance from Gandigan, instinctively prompted to do so.

After the attack stopped, he stopped to look at the damage. Ribbons of flesh hanged from his arms, blood pouring from the lacerations and dripping on the ground. Some cuts to his chest, but all in all, the damage was superficial. It didn’t tear any muscles, as he could freely move his arms and hands.

“...”

He did not talk, but his gaze was fierce. He would beat that thing until it crawled back from where it came. Finishing the work Gandigan -or rather, Amon- had started, he ripped off the loose pieces of skin barely hanging to his arms before resuming his onslaught. A kick to the gut, a spear hand strike to the throat, he palm striked both of the Namekian’s temples at once in order to stun him momentarily.

He would wait for the right timing to deliver a powerful attack.

With no holds barred, the Heran was consecutively striking away at the Namekian, hoping the beat the parasite out of him. The carefree, almost innocent attitude he had earlier had vanished, leaving room for the warrior to take down the foe in front of him. There was no kindness, no empathy anymore, each strike was meant to kill the Namekian. The source of this power, as Amon wondered, was what he was naturally born with. Unable to power up or use spiritual energy unlike most seasoned fighters, he only had this natural strength of his to use.

Even if each of his hits were sinking in, the Heran did not relent, hellbent on putting his opponent down. His thoughts were minimal, mostly focused on the task at hand. It was only when he picked Gandigan by the throat, lifting him off the ground that he came to. Fortunately for Gandigan, Amon seemed to give back the Namekian control of his body. As he asked why he attacked him, Dosu let out a sigh.

“Look at my arms and chest and ask yourself who attacked who first. You’re lucky you told me about that thing beforehand or else I would’ve spilled your guts by now.”

He let go of Gandigan, returning to his rock.

“You lost consciousness and I tried removing the worm. It didn’t work. Aside from taunting me, it wouldn’t give me much information. You might really need that lady of yours to remove the parasite.”

Arms crossed, Dosu noticed the scratches had not stopped bleeding just yet. He noticed that Gandigan was not feeling too great about what had transpired and honestly, the young Heran couldn’t blame him. If could be feeling sorry all he wants, at the end of the day, Dosu knew it wasn’t his doing and therefore, he didn’t hold it against him. Now, had he not witnessed the change in personality firsthand, things would surely have been different. All in all, it was the better outcome for the Namekian.

Now, his refusal to give Dosu a ride was understandable, but the Heran didn’t see it that way. Did Gandigan hold Dosu responsible and refused to give him a ride at this point? It was the least he could do, especially after what they had been through together!

“Hey wait! You can’t do that to me! Everyone is dead on this god-forsaken rock! I guess that means more food for me, but still! I said I wanted to go to Namek and I still want to!”

This proved fruitless as the Namekian had already fled the premises. Hmm, back to square one, then. Truly a shame. Dosu kicked a rock laying around in the distance and examined the are he stood in. No survivors. He better not dwell around this place too long and get searching. If he was lucky enough, then maybe he’d find a deserted pod. His plan hadn’t changed, but the destination did. Instead of going to Hera, he’d go to Namek!
