Apexle gave a sigh as he stepped out of his pod. His weighted clothes tied tightly to his muscles under his pitch black cloak. "Out of all the planets" Apexle muttered as he look around himself. "It just had to be Konats" He mumbled. He didn't outright hate the planet. It was for sure a lot more advanced the planets like Namek were, however there was always one glaring issue with making a city like this. IT WAS TOO BIG. Apexle glanced around as he left the narrow alley his pod had landed in.
Landed was a bit of a kind way to describe the now five foot hole that laid in the pods wake. Luckily the buildings weren't too damaged as the hooded Apexle left stepping quick away from the scene of the crash. Hoping that nobody would actually notice the sudden arrival.
On his way Apexle managed to leave the city behind. He had only been to Konats a few times before however there was always one place he wanted to go every time. His steps leaving imprints on the new grass under his feet. A lovely change from the desolate city streets before. Apexle made no hesitations as he began to wander into the Aster Forest. His hand reaching out as he pulled a fruit from one of the trees and began eating it. He trailed off as he ventured deeper and deeper into the trees surrounded by the beautiful lights the star covered Konat night sky had to offer. Finally Apexle found himself in the center of a large field. His vision slightly better thanks to the open tree line allowing the Konat's stars to brighten up the area.
It was good to be home. A couple of months touring on Earth were fun and all, but nothing really beat the expansive variety of Konats. A planet she considered home. Earth felt like a Konats set on boring mode. It made her want to get out of Lux for a bit and just go. Running out here in particular again reminded her just how clean the air was outside the city. The Kashvar did well to hide among the large trees and foliage. Trees that made great ramps, if she might add.
She was content enjoying slopes and long ramps that would launch her in the air from her balled form. Soaring through the many trees. Ducking in and around branches, unfurling from her ball to jump over brush and slide under overgrown root. Nothing on Konats really could touch her in this form, not without outmatching her raw power. Which, fat chance, she had the natural talent of a demigod to 99% of people she's met. It's made her cocky. But at least she wasn't some raving lunatic bent on murdering people or otherizing them or their weakness.
One last launch from a curved root sends her soaring into an open field. Far above what she thought she could muster. Did she get stronger on Earth? Hard to say. Even with this increased height sh was going to be short of the tree line across this field. Normally it wouldn't matter, she could just roll into the floor and keep going from there. A certain Tuffle was underneath her trajectory down though. The spinning green ball panics, unable to course correct at this speed.
Apexle had been wandering the forest for so long now the silence of the forest began to get just a bit dull. Every so often the sound of a happy creature seemed to fill the air. A moment of respite from the calm of the nothingness going on. It was then that the sound of crunching bark and snapping twigs met his ear. A typical sign that something was close Apexle looked ever which way, however to his surprise the sounds stopped. He couldn't even get a sense on any ki around him. Or rather in front of him that was.
It was then that the world began to spin once more. A voice slowly getting closer warned him, and as he looked up he saw a green ball speeding towards him. Unfortunately there were two things neither of the Aliens took into account. One was Apexle being there, and the second was the fact he was wearing so many weights he'd never be able to move in time.
"HEY WAIT HOLD ON FLY OR SOM-" Apexle began before the green ball came down. Instead of hitting a vital Apexle was able to throw up his arms letting them block himself as the speeding ball met his ridiculously heavy weights. The force of the impact was enough to send Apexle on his rear a few feet back. "Learn to drive you idiot" Apexle complained as he began to rub the dirty and dust from his eye trying to figure out who the hell hit him with such force.
It was far too late to change course by the time either of them yelled out. Before she knew it she was smashing into him. The spinning ball she was in smacked against something heavy and forced her completely full stop from her form. Unfurling to reveal a small alien of three feet or so getting knocked away from the impact. Striker is forced a few meters away and falls onto her back in the dirt. Dragging a trail behind her as she made a small impression in the grassy hillside.
"Oogh." She shook her head and sat up, bringing a gloved hand to it and rubbing it some. She conked herself pretty good against whatever it was that guy was wearing. She was liable to get a headache herself or worse a concussion from the speed of that impact. Usually, she'd be better prepared to bash into things she meant to hurt. But here? She only seemed to irritate this guy.
"Yeah!? Well... Learn to not stand out in the middle of nowhere!" Deflection, what a classic. She shook her other fist at him before standing up. Patting down her pants and shirt free of dirt and grass she imparted on herself from the fall. Sharp teeth are shown as that mouth curls into a frown. She wasn't expecting a run-in with a random in the exact spot she was running.
Konats was were it happened. What it was exactly was still missing from his mind, just like everything else was. For some reason he had decided to come here, to this planet, and that's when he was captured. The Kashvar had decided to experiment on him for some unknown reason, in the process stripping him of his memory. Thanks to some great event that happened around the same time the Kashvar became distracted, the Gandigan was able to escape.
Now that he had regained his strength he was determined to get his memories back. Unfortunately the Kashvar was impressively difficult to find when they were actively hunting you. They were isolated from the rest of the Konatsian planet, meaning the Namekian was forced to recruit the aid of a guide who he suspected of overcharging for his services. The small Konatsian man lead him to an area called the Aster Forest which was apparently where the Kashvar lived.
He was hoping that as they walked through the forest something would eventually become familiar to him, though the further they ventured in the more he began to believe that he was instead being scammed. He was on the brink of firing his guide when he heard a commotion coming from afar. He watched from behind the trees as two aliens of unknown origin spoke to each other, though from where he was standing he couldn't make out what they were saying.
Uninterested in continuing with incompetency Gandigan decided to step out, hoping that one of these two might know where to find what he was looking for. "Excuse me! You two, over there!" The Namekian moved forward. "Do either of you know anything about the Kashvar people?"
Apexle wasn't sure exactly how hard he was hit. He thought at first he was hallucinating as the green ball before him began to uncurl. A small creature appeared. Somehow it was even smaller than most the tuffles Apexle had seen in the past which was honestly impressive since it felt like a ton of bricks just smashed into him. 'Gravity Plus Mass plus acceleration equals pain' Apexle thought to himself his right hand over his chest where undoubtedly a small bruise was forming from the hit he took. Apexle began to sit up as the creature spoke or well mumbled something.
"I've seen a lot of things" Apexle muttered "But a flying green ball of death now that's new" He continued. Around the time the both of them had sat up the new face made a comment. It wasn't like Apexle chose to be a target, and his black cloak didn't exactly make him blend into the forestry around himself. "You are literately green" Apexle countered "There was absolutely no way to distinguish you from the surrounding plants you pint sized menace" Apexle shot back at her comment.
Apexle wasn't all that mad at the creature though. He understood wanting to get away from everything, but all the same the pain from his chest wouldn't go away easily. The destron in his veins made even small wounds hard to recover from. Luckily for Apexle living his whole life with the pain gave him a very solid resistance to pain or rather the lingering pain.
Finally Apexle heard the last comment. "Me?" Apexle began thinking of what to say. "Well it's a short and sweet story really" Apexle began as he peeled himself from the dirt. "I was making my way to Planet Plant. Got caught in an asteroid field and my pod crash landed on this planet" Apexle began to explain. The pod in question was still in the city though so he couldn't really prove that part.
"I just came to this forest to clear my head" Apexle further explained giving a pause. "But thanks to you I ended up clearing my lungs too" Apexle said with a small bit of sass from the original blow he'd suffered on his ribs right above his lungs. "And what might I ask are you doing here little...." Apexle began, however he slowly came to a stop not exactly knowing the race of the creature before him.
Before Apexle could find the proper words to speak again a new face appeared. The sound of his voice drew Apexle's attention as his head snapped towards the new figure. 'A Namekian?' Apexle thought to himself. Unlike the smaller green thing Apexle was very aware of the Namekian race. "The what race? Sorry but I just got here I don't think I got the answers you're looking for pal" Apexle commented towards the new comer.
Striker had half the mind to whack this guy up the side of the head this time for calling her a menace. Was it true? Sure. But she didn't like being called out regardless. She shook a fist at him and growled.
"Pint-sized menace!? I was in the skies, you dope! You had plenty of time to see me, Mister Hot Topic!" Of course, hate would be way too strong a word. Even dislike was more a feeling that required history. This little incident? A mild annoyance at best that the green critter eventually laughs off. Picking herself on up before he himself felt like it. She held no blemishes from the impact, not even a little scratch on her head. The force itself may have jostled her bad, but her body was far more resilient than to get hurt from a fall like that. Built differently, they'd say.
"Well, you're a far way from home, Tall and Lanky. Landing yourself in the Wilds of all places on Konats? No wonder you were staring blankly out here. The easiest place to get yourself lost!" Planet Plant. That other Tuffle told her about it. She'd say they were related by height alone but this one looked nothing like Bael. She kept up the mean teasing with a toothy grin on her face, heavily implying she was finding it more fun to poke at him than be genuinely mad.
"Just call me Striker! Raised on Konats, born elsewhere. Fauxbians, we're called. Though I haven't even seen another one of me running around so don't hold your breath waiting for another chance encounter. I'm the one and o-" Holy green, there was a Namekian here? this guy just creeps out mid-conversation and poses a question to the pair like they were just having casual conversation. He looked particularly out of place with what he wore, which made Striker squint up at him. Looking him over a moment with a tilted head before clicking her tongue.
"Oh? And what do you want those dorks for? They live somewhere out here but they like hiding. The forest here is filled with natural dangers and they don't exactly leave trails back to their cities. What is a fella like you wanting to know?" Striker had much less of a stake in the whole Konats and Kashvar thing. She just lives in Lux and lives a good life, damns it. This wasn't her forte.

The boy seemed to have no clue as to what he was talking about; thankfully the rodent proved to be slightly more helpful on the matter. Frustrated at his response Gandigan moved in closer to the boy, placing his hand upon Apexle's shoulder and speaking to him in a hushed voice. "The Kashvar. If you don't know them then you should. They live somewhere around these woods, or so I've been told. What I do know is that they're very dangerous."
Gandigan spun around and got down on one knee, attempting to match the small creature's eyes. "You're a native of this planet, are you? Some sort of animal that has learned to talk? Much be Kashvar magic at work." He had half a mind to try and crush it before his theory was proved correct, but right now he needed all the information he could get.
"What I want is to find the people that robbed me of my past and placed this terrible curse on me." Stepping back up he looked back over to Apexle. "A few weeks ago I traveled to this planet just like you. The Kashvar people captured me and put me through all manor of cruel experiments. My memory was destroyed, and now I seek them out in the hopes that I might obtain what was lost." Striker confirmed that they were somewhere in this forest, though the specifics were still yet to come out.
Apexle's head was in shambles, but all the same he lifted himself as he heard the others speaking. "I think you'll find I am the hottest topic" Apexle shot back towards Striker. "And you with a birds eye view still managed to hit someone as large as me. I'm gonna have to say you're at fault" Apexle teased the smaller creature that named themselves Striker.
"Yeah I'm aware. Planet Plant has more wastelands than they have people, but I can't say I don't enjoy the Konat scenery." Apexle added. He was in a bit of a daze before. He was lucky enough to have such a rude awakening he'd never make that mistake again. "Although the brochure said nothing about flying green death balls in the forests, but they probably didn't want the money from tourists going somewhere else" Apexle said now reaffirming that Striker was no different than a green cannon ball.
"Oh yeah introductions. I'm Apexle a tuffle from a nearly dead race." Apexle said throwing a hand up. "Rumor has it we're the smartest species, but with the way the other tuffles act I can't see how or why" Apexle admitted slandering his own race without a ounce of hesitation or rather empathy.
Apexle made sure to pay extra attention to the conversation regarding the Kashvar. He hadn't known too much about Konat, however it seemed the others did. Striker seemed to be less than friendly claiming them to be dorks. It was around then that the newcomer claimed the Kashvar were some kind of dangerous creatures. "Yeah I'm well aware that the forest is dangerous" Apexle said with his eyes darting over to Striker.
"Although I'm still not too worried about whatever you seem to be warning me about" Apexle stated calmly as the Namekian rambled on. Apexle's right eye twitched. "Alright Mr.Namekian" Apexle began since the man didn't have a name or at least didn't speak of it. "I understand you have a mission and all. I get that having your memories stolen probably isn't the most exciting thing to happen to you" Apexle began taking a quick breath. "But you aren't relearning how to walk nor talk. I'm not sure of what importance those memories have to you, but I don't think you should be searching for memories that the Kashvar destroyed. I don't think they'll be able to rehash every little detail of your life" Apexle explained.
"I'm not saying this to stop you, but rather to remind you that memories are made and lost all the time. Even the most important ones can fade and dwindle from your mind at any time or any place" Apexle continued. "Although if it's true that you want to continue then I'll be the last person to stop you. I'm just telling you that it's most likely impossible to restore someone's memories after they've been destroyed." Apexle finished before taking a pause to wait for the Namekians response.
Oh yeah! Well, why didn't he try spinning at 10,000 RPM and keep try of a tiny speck of a person on the ground! As much as Striker wanted to constantly bring it up, she found it less appealing than just making fun of his looks which he promptly ignored. She could only give the tuffle a shit-eating grin when he looked back at her when mentioning 'dangerous things in the forest'. Not wrong, even if she didn't try to be a menace. The Namekian was more condescending than anything though, going so far as to kneel to her like a small child or something.
"ERR, wrong!" She'd look up at Gandigan and raise a hand to flick at his nose, sticking a tongue up at him in an attempt to be as annoying as possible.
"I was raised, not born here. I came here of my own volition! We have our own planet, but not everyone's like me. None of that weird elf magic was required, and I'm not some animal. I'll show you that real quick if you want to test me. I'm damn good hired muscle, I'll let you know!" She stepped back and crossed her arms at the amnesiac namekian, scratching her itchy nose with a hand as more about memories and the like were brought up. It's a little weird that they'd experiment on a Namekian of all things, but Striker wasn't really one to call out 'weird' things. That'd be a little ironic. Apexle had a more fancy way of putting his words, but Striker just shrugs and sums it up much more concisely.
"Yeah. That. Think if you just lost your memories you should just try going with the flow and form new ones. It's not like those past thoughts will just open your eyes to something. Think all you do by trying is hurting people who might not even be involved."

"Gandigan is my name, and you should be worried. It seems neither of you are interesting in taking this threat very seriously: that's a big mistake. If either of you get captured by a Kashvar then don't say I didn't try to warn you." Both Striker and Apexle had their own interesting responses to the Namekians problem, though neither proved to be very satisfactory. He first responded to Striker who was quickly getting on his nerve at this point, having already taken a swipe at his nose.
He knelt down once more, this time with a much sterner look on his face. "Hired muscle? There's less muscle on your body than there is on one of my legs. Speaking of which... be careful, as unlike the rest of my kind roasted rodent sounds like a delightful meal." He was somewhat interesting in learning of where Striker came from, if only to know to avoid it in the future, but instead of asking he stood back up to challenge Apexle's views.
"I don't understand how you can dismiss memories so easily. What if I have friends and family that I don't know about? Am I to abandon then? What if there has been some great task placed on me that I have forgotten about? I am doomed to fail without my memories. Maybe I can't ever get them back, but shouldn't I try? Magic is a strange thing; something I don't quite understand. It may have the power to do exactly as I want. And if not? Then I still owe the Kashvar revenge."
Apexle's eye brow raised at the Namekians introduction. He couldn't help but let out a chuckle. "First of all Gandigan I'm not afraid of the inhabitants here. They've caused me no trouble nor grief since I crash landed. Well except for the little green menace we have with us." Apexle explained. "Secondly I'm not scared because I've seen my fair share of warriors and I'm confident they wont be coming after me" Apexle continued after Striker had finished their introduction as a personal body guard.
Apexle couldn't help but believe the little thing was capable of doing damage. Their way of meeting did kind of explain that. He didn't think it was worth offering his services though. They weren't dealing with Saiyans nor were there self proclaimed gods around. The matter was entirely up for debate whether or not Apexle would join them. It was about then that Gandigan brought up roasted rodents.
"I think it's best we not try to consume one another" Apexle warned with a glance towards the Namekian "plus that's not how you're meant to respond when someone offers you help. Maybe your memories also contained some of your manners as well" Apexle deduced from the way the man had spoken about the green fluff ball. Although he wasn't friends with the creature he knew it meant no harm.
"I can dismiss a memory in a moments notice" Apexle explained holding up his hands with a black star deeply imprinted on the top side. The skin under it seemed to be moving as if the mark itself was breathing. "Destron producing nanobots. My creator really did a number on my body, but that's a memory I choose to dismiss" Apexle explained giving a good idea on the memories he chose to relive and those he didn't.
"I'd suggest revenge over trying to regain your memories in honesty" Apexle declared. "Some times history is best left alone. You never know if the person you were is the person you want to be after all" Apexle said taking a breath. "As for family and loved ones well you're a Namekian from Namek have you tried searching for your past there?" Apexle asked with a humble tone offering some sort of answer to the obviously very anxious Namekian.
Striker was the least concerned about some splinter group trying to catch her, of all things. That just sounded like a joke to her. But this namekian not only was dead serious but saw fit to antagonize her confidence. Going so far as to even lay low threats down, as if it'd scare her. What was he wanting, a fight? That sorta happy go lucky attitude dropped immediately as her hands were brought up to pop knuckles. Those eyes never wavered, staring this punk down.
"You know, the more you talk, the less I give a frick about this memory stuff you are going on about. Have the common courtesy to speak to me like a person. I may be a bit abrasive and ornery with the big guy here over an honest mistake but this? You know what? I'm going to say it." She grins again. This time not so much as a show of giddy mischief but a malicious sort of ire. There wasn't much that set off the singer but this was one of the rare cases she didn't tolerate.
"Whatever those guys did to you, what you think they did to you? I'm glad! Couldn't have the best memories in the first place if you're this much of a vindictive meathead! Maybe you were even worse back then! Maybe they did you a favor by removing the really bad elements!" What a way to sour her mood. She was trying to have fun out here, and now she had to deal with this. Foreigners questioning her.
"Warriors? It's not the warriors you need to be afraid of. All the strength in the world is powerless against the Magicks of the Kashvar. Haven't either of you seen Dharatan? If not I suggest you take a look. I've heard terrible things about that place; things that will make you blood curdle." He had yet to see Dharatan with his own eyes, though with everything he had heard about it he want to see things with his own eyes., and had been planning an expedition as soon as this Kashvar business was over.
"As for my 'attitude' I'd say that the little one hasn't done much to help me. If it really was raised on Konats then I'd expect more information on where the Kashvar are. This reluctance to inform me only lends credence to my theory that we are in fact looking at a Kashvar creation." Gandigan was about ready to leave when Apexle showed off his 'Destron producing Nanobots' as if the Namekian was supposed to understand what any of that meant.
Was this another form of Magick? Was everybody a secret Kashvar agent around here? "Just what the Hell are you exactly?!" The whole situation was turning sour for Gandigan. Turning back down to Striker, Gandigan this time decided not to kneel down, wanting to stand over him. "You know what? Maybe you're right. Maybe I was worse before, or maybe I was better. But the point is I won't know. They robbed that from me. I may never get to know what kind of person I was because of them. How do you think you'd feel in my situation?"
Apexle's eyes began to roll some things just weren't making sense. He claimed to have lost his memories, and yet he remembered not only the details of his attackers, but also another race called 'Dharatan' a race that wasn't there to defend themselves against his comments. 'Okay lets piece this together. He seems to hate both the races that own this Planet. He hasn't shown the slightest hint of respect to their inhabitants either. I'm not so sure this guy is right in the head' The tuffle thought looking towards the green creature. He wasn't attached nor did he care much for it, but at the very least it knew some sort of manners.
Finally Apexle was ready to actually reply. "I don't care what type of magic they can cast. I don't care who they are. I will however tell you that you're manner of thinking is wrong. My blood doesn't curdle unless I wish it to. My body doesn't shiver from fear until I say it's okay. That's the kind of mentality I possess, and if you fought the warriors I had to then you'd know full well that this planet and the bag of tricks it has is nothing in the face of absolute strength. Although I will admit perhaps your way of thinking is from the lack of memories. So I wont hold it against you." Apexle said with a long winded breath.
Apexle would leave off the first comment there as the discussion turned to Striker. It seemed as though the Namekian was acting a bit better since he didn't lower himself, however immediately assuming someone was a creation rubbed Apexle the wrong way. After all he was a creation of the tuffles.
Finally it came back to Apexle after flaunting his destron nanobots the Namekian actually took a pause and decided to ask what he even was. "Oh me?" Apexle began with a devilish smile. "I'm just a test tube tuffle with a little bit of destron thrown in so my Saiyan muscles don't contract and break my bones into little pieces" Apexle commented. After he'd asked Apexle his question however the Namekian immediately turned to Striker.
Apexle listened calmly to the mans last comment. Although he couldn't speak for everyone there Apexle himself did have memories worth forgetting or deleting. The fact the Namekian saw it as bad probably meant he was more lost than Apexle had been when he first landed. Apexle would allow Striker to answer while he patiently awaited the results.
