The Ruined Metropolis. It went by a few names, most rather menacing and just ‘Ruined Metropolis’ with either of those words replaced with a suitable synonym, but there were some names deserving to be considered more highly than the others. There are those who claim to have unearthed or remembered what this city was once called, all those many years ago. There are many theories about what the city was once called, what happened here and, ultimately, there are many theories regarding what ultimately happened… what caused its desolation.
Cheri thought it was quite impressive. Not impressive in the way one might compliment, but impressive in a terrible, awesome (and I mean the classic meaning of awesome here) sense, the sense that you don’t want to happen because it’s so foul a thing and yet takes you back by its scale of influence, like a hurricane moving through a city or a saiyan getting their way. It was especially impressive given that, in terms of generations, it didn’t even happen all that long ago… and yet, by the brutality of the saiyans and the potency of destron, the whole city… died.
Cheri was here, alone, for she was better suited to investigating such an environment than most. After all, while the city was effectively a ruin at this point, again, it hadn’t even been a ruin for that long… especially from the perspective of, say, a guild of archaeologists, whom Cheri was here on behalf of. She had to be smart about it, what with continually evading detection from saibamen and avoiding the denser pockets of destron which even her transparent programmable matter gas mask could not save her from, but she’d manage. After all, all she was looking for was information: records, whether digital or physical, discs, perhaps used scouters lying around or, and it was but a far hope, a fully functioning computer system in one of these laboratories.

With any luck, she’d be able to finish her search uninterrupted...
