Cave Of Darkness - Invited

The North was cold, much colder than the South. Gemmul had known that going in, of course, but now that she had actually arrived at the North, she became aware of just how much colder the North would be. The goddess shivered and wrapped her arms around herself, flaring up her aura slightly to create some protection from the blistering cold winds that rocked the area. "When I am of substantial enough power once more, this shall be the first section of this wretched planet that I will destroy," she declared. Nobody seemed to live here anyway, so she was certain it'd be an easy job. Plus, destroying the ice caps meant accelerated heat growth for the rest of the planet, and Gemmul liked it warm.

For now, though, the cave that she had spotted up ahead would provide suitable comfort until this blizzard died down. As Gemmul stepped inside, though, she heard the sounds of... Energy blasts? From deeper within the cave? Was there already someone living here? Well, then it was her duty to go and boot them from the premises, as she was now the present owner of this cavern and would not tolerate any trespassers. It wasn't hard to reach out with her energy sensing to find where this fool currently resided. And after some twisting and winding passages, Gemmul was face to face with... Several things.

There appeared to be some kind of... Witch? And a large, tentacled creature as well, coupled with some strange, alien creature standing there with a stupid, blank expression upon his face. Had she accidentally wandered into some kind of weird ritual? Well, whatever. Gemmul would kill them all regardless. She sighed, and blasted the singing witch with a forceful enough blast to eradicate her entirely, then fired blasts of similar power towards the creature and the dumb-looking alien. That ought to make things quieter around here, she thought.

Gemmul fires non-KP blasts at everyone in the room!

Well, this was an interesting turn of events. Gemmul's blasts had made short work of the woman, though she couldn't tell for certain if the girl had been killed or just knocked unconscious. Oh, well, it didn't really matter, anyway. Once she was done here, she'd just vaporize everything's body to be certain that the job was done. The interesting part, though, was the alien creature that seemed as though he had snapped out of some kind of trance. She blinked at him a few times as he grew immensely in power and then spent his time murdering the squid monster before he turned back to her. And, apparently, he was angry.

"I haven't the faintest idea what a single one of those words means," Gemmul flatly replied, her hands placed promptly upon her hips. What was a Lt.? Or a FFS? Or a Thaw? Perhaps he was speaking some sort of alien language that her superior brain was simply unable to stoop low enough to understand. Yes, that must have been it. And, well, Gemmul could hardly afford to be shown up in power by this lizard creature, so her own energy amplified as well, matching the alien's with relative ease. It was more as though she was removing a restraint upon herself than growing in strength, really.

"You do have some defensive instincts, I can admit," she stated in reference to his ability to defend himself from her initial blasts. "But regardless, I currently will be making use of this cave until the weather outside grows less intolerable. Leave at once."

Gemmul could not help but blink a few times as the scene before her unfolded. The alien, in either a fit of rage or some sort of deranged seizure, began to speak in a loud, slow, and strange manner that had the goddess at an apparent loss for words. She had certainly never seen anything like... This before. This was new. This was very, very new. Gemmul watched in complete silence as the alien stumbled over himself, until finally he ended by misgendering her several times and threatening her with violence. 

"...What?" was all she could think to ask when the alien's spiel was said and done. Were all mortals this stupid, or was this some special case? About all she could gather from that incoherent babble was that this creature's name was Thaw, and that, yes, he actually was as dumb as he looked. Gemmul felt an overwhelming urge to punch him in the face and rid herself the sight of him, though a part of her didn't even feel like going through the effort anymore. 

"I don't... I..." she stammered, at a loss for words for what seemed to be the first time that she could recall. Normally, she was a slew of clever remarks and witty, eloquently put zingers, but now? Gemmul was coming up empty. "...Are all the members of your species this stupid, or is it just you? I only ask so I know whether it's just you I need to kill, or if I'll have to go and wipe out the rest of your race as well."

What? Cupid? As the lizard-like creature spoke, Gemmul only grew more confused, and, simultaneously, more disgusted by its mere existence, and repulsed that such a moronic being could even exist. What lesser god had decided to bring life upon... This? Though, Gemmul supposed that not all creations could be winners. These inferior beings did need to exist, lest those greater than them have nothing to reign their superiority over. If everyone was as sublime as Gemmul, then there would hardly be anything sublime about them. That would simply become the new average.

Oh, and he was making the icicles on the ceiling fall down at her. If they had been some concentrated attack on the lizard's part, Gemmul may have needed to expend some effort to evade them, but given that they only moved as swiftly and strongly as gravity allowed them too, Gemmul merely stepped aside and allowed them to shatter against the cold, stone floor of the cavern. And then, the creature continued its inane babble, only to end up performing a gesture so wretched, so incomprehensibly foul, that even with the divine blood that flowed through her veins and the near-unbreakable demeanor she possessed, Gemmul physically cringed against her will.

"I have..." she stammered, her face contorted in such a way as one might look at a brutally mutilated corpse or an intensely grotesque insect, "I have never been made aware of such insolence until just this moment. You... All mortals, they truly do deserve to be purged from the living realms and wiped from existence." Though Gemmul supposed there may have been some mortals worth keeping around before this interaction, she could now see that none should live if they were capable of such horrific acts.
